  1. That's what I think. Ross isn't a bad player but as I said I don't think he fits us and we could just go BPA or fill another, more important hole at 16.
  2. I don't think we're dependent on taking him, nor will we be dependent on him once he's ours if it works out that way. There's still no doubt in my mind that we grab an early CB with or without him (and probably a later one too), just so we're not relying on Jimmy staying healthy if/when Claiborne goes down. That way if he can't perform or he can't stay healthy we have a young, at the very least decent corner(s) that won't leave us as stranded as last year. I think we'll probably just give Claiborne a prove-it deal if he decides to go with Baltimore, no point in giving a medium/long term contract to someone that can't play one out. Worst case scenario Jimmy and Claiborne go down we're slightly better off than we were last year.
  3. If he is a bust though I'd rather him be someone else's bust than ours. If he's the only one out of the three left on the board I don't know how I feel about taking him or taking someone else and waiting to pick up someone that fits with us more. I don't have anything against him, but it breaks down to finding a better fit then taking the opportunity to grab BPA (besides Ross).
  4. Also the Broncos weren't coming off of a superbowl win
  5. The conversation has more turned into what we should before the season starts. The first few posts knocked down the so called "anemic offense" label we've been given already.
  6. I hope people take Ross early for his speed though, he's probably the biggest chance to be a bust (when compared to Williams or Davis). No way Williams gets to us, but I feel like the combine could help get us Davis.
  7. "rifle malfunshion" XD. That one really got me
  8. I personally like Davis more than Ross
  9. I think Flacco's problem is his lack of an O-line and targets to throw to. I still like Davis' skillset more than Ross' but that's my opinion.
  10. Legit forgot about that while posting. Learning to play RT at a pro level would be more accurate. I think even though we'd like to keep him at guard that's not solid evidence that he's stuck there, as @rossihunter2 said he filled in for Stanley just fine, flipping sides is what we're hesitant to do.
  11. lol I don't think any team's gonna pay that. I think he's waiting for more than what we're giving him but he'll probably settle here.
  12. The problem is we gave Joe a ton of money just to forget to get him an O-line and some guys to throw to. Getting a good run game definitely wouldn't hurt either, but that comes with the O-line.
  13. He's got to prove more that he can complete a season and not be affected. Very important that he actually plays football for us
  14. I still think Lewis can make the move
  15. I personally see Gillmore and Williams as having more potential than Waller but I don't remember how I came to that conclusion.
  16. Maybe he takes the place of some other guy that could become a good slider for us too
  17. lol let's just have have a ref toss it to him and cut out the middle man
  18. Doesn't look like he has a choice if he hasn't signed with someone else by now.
  19. I'm okay with that. With his injury history we might just be getting one year out of him anyway.
  20. I think we've got a good defense this year too. I know it's ironic that I'm judging too early but I like where we're going.
  21. I had that as my wallpaper for a while lol. Good ol' Nic
  22. I agree Pitta has done a lot to stay with us and do the best he can to make sure we have room in the cap and I wouldn't want to let go of that (also Flacco's favorite/most trusted target). I've heard people talking about what Williams could bring to us in the trade market, which I would only want to exercise that idea if we took Howard as a BPA pick. We could also cut Watson and move Boyle to FB as I've heard people talk about, but I'm not sure about how I feel about this.
  23. True. Guess there's only one way to find out and that's who's roster he ends up on.
  24. He's older than Zuttah and coming off an injury, I think that might allow for a smaller pay hopefully.
  25. We also need to get an offensive identity this year. I'd like to see that become one that involves a powerful run game. I'm still really high on Howard as a big playmaker in the blocking and receiving game.
