  1. That's exactly who I was expecting us to take too. Sucks that he's a great player that then goes down at his pro bowl. As I said, he'll still get picked up early, but even if we pick up Claiborne both him and Smith could give us nightmares with possible injuries with no replacement at proper size. Being a Bama fan I'd love to see Marlon as a Raven but I didn't see this as being a reason as to possibly picking him up.
  2. I like every situation you've brought up here. I just really don't want us to go offense first round unless they're a game breaker.
  3. I'm not sure that we take Jones at all. Teams with better secondaries can spare to have him miss a chunk of games, or maybe his whole rookie season, but I think we're looking for someone that could be an immediate starter if need be. I see us filling another need in the second round (probably where he'll drop to).
  4. Kelly especially won't get drafted by us. We've got more things to address than someone that won't be BPA at the time anyway. Not hating on Kelly, but there's better picks and character concerns are the last thing we need.
  5. True. I didn't mean to phrase it as harping on his route running, but I question physicality.
  6. Great player. He's young, but plagued with injuries. As much as he will improve the secondary, I don't like the chance of re-injuring himself. What do you think this does to the draft situation? One less urgent matter for the draft, but I'm not sure if we look for a game-breaker, address another need, or still go with an early corner with the depth.
  7. What WR do you think we take if we can't get Davis?
  8. I don't like John Ross for us. Wallace and Perriman are speed receivers, but I hope we take someone with more of a possession/route running skill set (I feel like we can wait to take a WR anyway). As for Jabrill Peppers, if we're going BPA it's a viable option (but then it depends on who's left on the board), but the holes at CB, O-line, edge, and WR I feel are more urgent therefore I don't see it. Wouldn't hate to have Peppers though, freak of an athlete that could take over for Weddle once he retires.
  9. He good on the edge? Really don't know anything about him.
  10. From what I see Chidobe's 6'0" and Ford's 6'2". Not sure where numbers come from though.
  11. He's definitely got skills, no doubting that. I guess it really matters whether we go BPA or what we really need, but I look at it as we have O-line (especially after FAs run dry, and talent dwindles in later rounds), WR, edge, and CB to address in the draft. If we do pick him up, I have no doubt he'll be a contributor.
  12. I don't see it happening, but I'm nowhere near an expert. Not to make this entire thread about Humphrey, but as I said I think he could transition to safety when Weddle retires if need be pretty well (which Peppers would just be picked up to have a replacement for Weddle at least for now). That gives us a CB now and a safety in the future if our situation flips then. I like Peppers but I don't think he'll be BPA or a big need for such a valuable pick.
  13. Projected second rounder too from what I see. I like his ability as a pass rusher and dropping back in coverage (something Tim doesn't do), also has confidence and a certain hatefulness on the field, good attitude. And unlike Tim, no character concerns (all be it manageable).
  14. Criminally underrated to say the least. Not sure if I could call Anderson or Williams better than the other, purely off of the fact that I've only watched film of Williams
  15. Yeah, I forgot about O line entirely in this post. Kinda weak in this draft. I like Robinson switching to guard and Lamp is flexible but once you get to the later rounds and it starts to dwindle rapidly. I didn't account for comp pick, I'm pretty sure Claiborne is still available in FA, so that would make CB have a lot less value if we get him. I also don't see WR as more important than O line at this point as well as having many potential late round studs. But I like to talk about defense so I'm biased
  16. OK. If that's the case, I see us going with a WR in the third, edge and CB most likely the bigger points to address.
  17. I haven't really looked into pass rushers past round 1, how far back do you think we can spare to go? As for a first round wr, I feel like we could sacrifice going second or third round to get a pass rusher earlier.
  18. What's the latest you could see Davis taken? Some say skipping the combine could drop his stock.
  19. (I know I stated this before, but I've watched some film since) I also like how he's not afraid of making a tackle, something I saw a lack of in Sidney Jones. Got the size and speed we need at an outside corner but needs to work on fluidity, I've seen him get burnt for not using his hips. I still think safety is an option in the future if need be.
  20. Underrated speed too. Need someone to contrast speed receivers like Wallace and Perriman, and Stewart's a physical guy. I like him, but he might miss Ozzie's radar as well (I kinda doubt it given Bama connection though).
  21. True. I still mostly think of pre-combine draft scenarios that I've looked into, but I'm not sure what players are the most likely to fall to us that were projected earlier given combine results. I don't think that many bpa picks wouldn't fill a hole anyway (many good edge, cb, and wr), given who is expected to be picked around the time we're on the board, but you never know.
  22. Oh ok. The only websites I could find talking about him as a prospect didn't mention where he was projected. Maybe he still goes under the radar, but I'm doubtful.
  23. Man, hate to see that. I don't see us taking him anymore, considering he'll probably fall to second round, which I assume we'll use on a WR, then use our first for another CB that can start immediately.
  24. I think we're definitely going with CB in the first, considering how much we suffer when Jimmy goes down. Still think we get a WR early, but it won't impact the offense as much as the CB will the defense until we fix our o line problem.
