  1. Yes he was. Anywhere from mid first to early round 2. The question I have is can he be a high volume slot receiver that catches 10 a game between the hash? If he is then he would be an excellent rare weapon. Could imagine Julian Edelman Kendall Wright short to intermediate separation and high volume yet with his speed to take the top off the defense? It would be like Edelman with 4.2 speed and athleticism to get deep and climb the ladder deep So if Foster is there should we take him even with the incident? He has a legit chance to fall to 16. So it is something management has to consider.
  2. He is being a little biased because Cooper Kupp plays like his mentor. And who can blame him. SS credits him for the player and person he became. He gave SS confidence because he instantly pulled him aside to help him and tell him how great he could become. Because he saw special traits in SS. He is like a big brother to SS.
  3. I don't get the love of drafting a RB. I agree Dixon is a rare talent. He will trample a DB and that is if he doesn't shake him out of his shoes first. Dixon is an incredible talent. I like him as much as Cook or Zeke. He ran a 4.58 which is good long speed for a back if he has good burst and elusiveness. But Dixon was surprised and disappointed at it and feels he is capable of playing at sub 4.5 breakaway speed. He pretty much promised he is going to be faster than that. Priest Holmes went from 4.58 speed to 4.38 after working on it. He is a good sized back and as strong as Ezekiel Elliott. He squats between 600 and 700lbs. Which is more than most LBs and explains all his broken tackles. With his size speed elusiveness and power he is one of the best young backs today. And it gets better. He is a great route runner with really good hands and ball skills. What more do fans want in a young back? I don't get it. Why do we need to draft a back early?
  4. I agree that Easley is very talented at what he does. And he could be signed much cheaper than Williams. But Easley can not play NT. While he could have a very significant role on our defense. He can not replace Williams. And Williams definitely will not like signing a DT. Even if he is cheaper. It would then be unrealistic to ask him to give us a hometown discount after paying money to an outside DT
  5. I agree Rodgers is going to be a better NFL player. Juju is hyped but Rogers is more impressive and has better traits
  6. The chargers didn't deserve Weddle. He should have been a Raven from rookie campaign.
  7. Davis and wise are strong edge setters but I ilike Smoot better as a stand up rush rush lb. Davis and Wise could be good base ends in a 4-3. But the power to play End in the 3-4 is a different league literally. I agree that there are quality lineman in later rounds. But best shot at aa franchise tackle or guard or center comes in the first round. Ozzie and Harbaugh could very well double dip along the offensive line. Harbaugh and Biscotti really sounded like building Joe's elite line is a top priority for our team. And who could blame them? When our line dominated and helped Joe feel comfortable scanning through his targets. He was the nfl's best QB in the 2012 playoff run. So I tend to agree with Harbaugh and Biscotti. Joe has the skills to be the nfl's best QB. But if we went defense who could argue with a Tim Williams, Derek Barnett, or Jamal Adams?
  8. I'm changing the Round 1pick to Dan Feeney after a trade back to late round 1. More I watch the more I like him. Future pro bowl caliber guard. I'm considering changing Walker. But I'm not sure who yet. Way to early in draft season.
  9. Clarify, this is my post, purple showed me this website but there was some problems posting. While troubleshooting my account I used purples phone to post but forgot to sign him out. Sorry for any confusion. We agree on most things however. Like Walker behind one of most underrated players in this draft. While purple likes Judson, I think he is going to be a top 10 rusher this year. We really struck gold with Judon. I'm more right player right price fan. After winning the fantasy league for first time. Ready for draft season football now.lol
  10. Hello all brothers and sisters of ravens nation. I read this board's news often enough. So I will introduce myself with a mock. I read mocks on here and I am always very impressed. Tough decision if this draft should be offense or defense themed. Defense is as much ravens tradition as turkey on thanksgiving. But we can not forget about our franchise QB. I will update my mock after the combine. Round1 Cam Robinson- After a trade back into the mid/late 20's. He should be a standout RT. If he is not he can at least play guard at a high level. And we can pick up an additional Round 2 pick in the process. Which makes him a very safe pick. Round2 DL Demarcus walker- Similar to Michael Bennett but more athletic. Can play the defensive line or OLB in our system. Very productive and underrated burst and athleticism. Subtle and effective moves as a rusher Round2 Tradavious White- The Cornerback the defense needs to round out a strong group of starters. Round3 Duwuane Smoot- A fast athletic edge rusher that is athletic enough to drop into coverage Round3 WR Taywan Taylor- A quick and shifty wideout to move the chains while having the speed and skills to challenge for big plays Round4 LB Anthony Walker- He bulked up and wasn't as flexible. If he gets back to his ideal size he could be a steal Next couple rounds I have not really got this far but I will throw some names out there to complete draft. So bear with me Round5 QB Nathan Peterman- Has skills to be a very effective backup. He may not be available at this juncture. If not then Chad Kelly is an interesting prospect as well. Round6 CB Brendan Langley- With some work could be a good center fielder. Played WR and has the ball skills to find the rock. Round7 OG Collin Buchanan- Has size and athletic traits to work with as backup
