Looks like they just claimed the last slot

I wouldn't mind seeing where we are picking as soon as possible, so I can start planning for how few teams there will be left where I'm picking lol.

Of course whenever it happens it happens. I'm just excited to get started.

By the way, this is a bit of a gentlemen's rule, but it would help for the newcomers to be made aware of it. If there's a situation where a future FA signee, a future draftee, etc. are still hanging in the balance, we don't discuss them until their fates are sealed. I.e., if we're at the FA period, and I believe that Player X is getting overpaid or underpaid, or whether I want to chime in on their worth, I would save it until after they're signed. Same goes for the draft portion as well.

Got it. That makes a lot of sense.

Rule of thumb. Don't discuss any teams you want or may be interested in. Reason is because since we don't know the order, if you express interest in a team someone else may take them if they see someone else have interest.

Much like how we don't discuss player interest during the draft.

So I shouldn't fake interest in a team I have no desire to pick? There goes part of my strategy to get who I wanted :P

I'm with you. I like the interior foundation with Justin Pugh and Weston Richburg, but the OT situation was an absolute mess. Flowers took a significant step back this season. To be honest, I wasn't overly high on him from a technique standpoint when scouting him, so I'm unsure as to whether he'll improve. Your defense is basically set. The NYPD, one of my favorite nicknames, is one of the best secondaries in the league. You have two terrific edge rushers and I've been a fan of Damon Harrison for quite some time, so I was glad to see him earn his keep. The only potential point of need defensively may be at LB, and perhaps a rotational DT. It's about as close to a finished product as you can get.

Completely agreed. Flowers was definitely taken on his beastly physical attributes because they thought they could coach him up, but unless he improves his technique dramatically this season he's doomed to be a bust. I think they'll switch him to RT either way at this point, and I'm hoping they go after Whitworth (and draft depth) since Eli's window is closing and they can't wait for a guy to develop anymore.

You'll learn quickly.  I know it's a lot to digest but we do it all in segments so we'll be doing 1 thing at a time for the most part.  As always, you have the CoCo here to answer any questions you might have.

Thanks. I appreciate the help! I'm sure I'll catch on quickly. You can ask RavensFanMania about how I usually am with my regular fantasy leagues.

    Fair on all accounts.

I'm hoping the Giants can get better on the O-line. As much as the WCO helps alleviate it a bit, it's hard for Eli to do much when Flowers is just letting people by him.

Thankfully I see both the Giants and Ravens needing very little to be very good teams next year, that and health of course always being a factor.

  7. In other news, I believe I may have just hit the aforementioned 15 post mark. This should make things much easier going forward... aside from the learning curve of trying to figure this whole thing out from last year's threads.

If I'm ever unable to make a pick or anything, I will likely leave a pick list with RavensFanMania to keep things moving smoothly.

yeah im coming round to that opinion more and more now - i feel more confident in picking davis at 16 even over a couple of the corners that might be there as well

This is a very deep corner draft. Can probably grab what would have been a 1st round corner in most other drafts in the mid-late 2nd round this year. I'm honestly not sure if Davis will make it down to #16 as I think his draft stock is going to continue to shoot up leading up to the draft, but he may also be worth trading up for if the price isn't too high. I really see his ceiling as a top ten WR in the NFL, and floor of a solid #2. I know there is always some chance that a guy could be a bust, but I just don't see it being a very high chance with Davis.

As a Giants fan, how comfortable are you betting on No.10 and not expecting to be let down? (On a sad note, this is probably the Ravens' first win this season against your favorite team, so I've gotten both sides with a zinger).

Very, as long as I have a decent offensive line in front of me (or it's against the Patriots). Unfortunately Eli hasn't had one of those in a few years.

In all honesty I did not pick #10 because of Eli. It's the # I wore when I played hockey.

I'll move you over to the 2017 version.  If you go back 2-3 pages, you'll see last year's version of the game.  Feel free to give some threads a pass through just to see how it works.

Thanks. I tried to look through a few pages earlier, but I'll give it another go now that the rules are up after I've read them.

  11. While I think Harris or Barnett would be excellent picks, I really think Davis is the way to go as of right now. In my opinion he's going to be a stud for a very long time.  Not to mention the drop-off in talent after those top couple of WRs as compared to other deeper positions in the draft.
