Why is this article entitled, Ravens retain OC...". Why is it not "Ravens retain DC..."? It was the defense that gave up three full field length drives in the 4th quarter to the Steelers. It was the offensive that drove the length of the field to take the lead with a minute left. Stop that last drive by Ben and Antonio and the whole perspective of the season changes Pees was the DC for the Pats for three years and then he leaves to become the linebacker coach for the Ravens for 'personal reasons". How about because he was not respected nor trusted any longer in Foxboro and was told to get packing or pick up his pink slip. Marty had 10 games to right the offensive ship. Pees has had six years. I am no expert in blocking but the appearance of Juan Castillo has correlated with the disappearance of the Ravens running game regardless of who the OC was. Flacco has accepted the revolving door of OC's without complaint but he spoke up yesterday that consistency has value. And bringing in a recently fired HC or OC to be quarterback coach will have Marty whistling past the graveyard as his replacement is hired. Go Ravens!
