  1. Sorry Mom Gene, my post was about the most important "Premium" rounds Again its notable most great players represent those rounds. (On Any Team) By the way - A once in a lifetime 6th rnd great QB is few & far between.. and.. Those that draft well, do well, This isn't about those teams, its about the Ravens.... I don't agree that its a crap shoot either.. They are well scouted, so much that we know what toothpaste they use...Its the mistakes that have been made: Maybe their bad was pulling the wrong guy, or passing a potential A-Pro linebacker for a weaker WR.... the wrong position, bad timing, oh, we should have took "so-n-so", thought he would be there in the next.... There has been some bad mistakes made, And Moseley and Williams are the exception..Stanley, Lewis, Dixon, I dont believe have made the pro-bowl yet right..
  2. When it comes to drafts, someone must be responsible for the call... Now who made the call in 2013 to draft Arthur Brown 2nd rnd, move up 6 spots to get him and toss in a 5th & 6th for love...There must have been some back scratching, cheek kissin, whatever...Someone listened to too much bull next door and got set up, Ha, Ha, Ha... Whom ever the joke was on, they need fired for that one.
  3. I read alot but years since comments. My rights as a BLT fan is special to me, after all, like Modell, I also was a Cleveland Brown... I loved Oz as a player but have much doubt as a GM... My greatest 2 letdowns were 1.) When Sipe threw the int against Oak, instead of kicking the FG in the ice game. 2.) The Byner fumble at the goal against Den. If those don't break your heart then nothing will.
  4. What exactly does it mean to be a "Blue Collar" team? Talent in the 1st 3 rnds are not invided?, help me out here.
  5. I agree as long as Joe is the QB this team needs to be a run first offense. That's not a knock on Joe that is just the kind of QB I think he is. They also need a draft guys with checkered past every now and then if they are that good. Prime example is Marcus Peters. Would the Ravens have taken him at 26 if he would have fell? I hope that Joe finds another home. The great players have either left Blt or retired... He makes alot of idiot mistakes even for a QB that makes his living on dump offs. There is no great Defense to bail him out & He is no longer surrounded by great players. I agree as long as Joe is the QB this team needs to be a run first offense. Would the Ravens have taken him at 26 if he would have fell? Focus on the drafts from 2012 to present, and the 1st 3 rnds of each.. Only 1 of all those deserved the pro-bowl (#2 Osemele). With attrition you must have premium talent in those rnds to continue. Without it, Joe Flacco is an overpaid QB. Sorta reminds me of a Bradshaw without Swann & Harris.
  6. With Mr. Newsomes' history of drafts & recruits I'd be alarmed... 2012: No #1, @ #2 was C. Upshaw (no impact), #3 B. Pierce (cost a 5th to move up for this guy). 2013: #1: Elam, #2 A. Brown @ 56...for 6 spots @ 62 it cost a 5th & 6th rnd picks to Seatl.//// 2014: #2 T. Brooks 2015: Perriman, M. Williams, C. Davis... They don't exactly scare anyone out of the pro-bowl... 2016: #2 Correa & #3 Koufuse, one of them is half his prime... These are the rnds that make teams better not worse. There are no more Ray Lewis's, T. Suggs to save the Oz... 5 years and 1 great player (Osemele). This is shameful...
  7. Why would someone want him? His salary is horrible, He's not a top 10 QB.. These 1st & 2nd yr QB's are making him ooooooold...Hes still in Waltz mode in the pocket, the other 21 players on the field are dancing to a much faster tune... Mollat was an impressive young man in Houston, just learning, still eager, and he got caught behind Joe Cool... I'd rather seen the season end with Mol behind center... Thank you...
  8. I agree, add the O-line coach in particular. Our line is terrible, they get pushed around. We need some of those Midwestern farm boys, they throw bales of hay like paper. Im not sure what team you have been watching. The o line had a rough start with all of the injuries but once everyone got healthy they have been doing pretty well. During the second half of the season, when the line started to solidify the our O lineman have been consistently graded as the top 5 Offensive players on our team. In fact there hasnt been a game where at least two O linman made this list. And there were two games where four players were in the top five. We have to stop making injury excuses. How many sacks have the Ravens given up. We let a good guard go because we couldn't or wouldn't pay him. He's on a good, young playoff team, the Ravens, wait till next year. Then why do the Ravens lead the league in sack given up, first or second half of the season. I very seldom see a pocket the quarterback can throw from. Lead the league in sacks????? why would you make that up. Where do you get your stats from. We are nineteenth in the league. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=2&offensiveStatisticCategory=OFFENSIVE_LINE&role=TM&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=PASSING_SACKS_ALLOWED "He's on a good, young playoff team, the Ravens, wait till next year" Is that statement implying that if we had KO we would have made it to the playoffs, Cmon man thats just ridiculous. And we didn't resign KO because you cant spend all of your cap space on two interior lineman it just doesnt make sense. We made the right move Either way you cut it...Regardless of the O-Line, the OC in charge of play calling, or whom was at RB... Flacco was like a panicked puppy in a street with cars swishing around him..How sad... "In the critical vertical game when needed, he never saw the receivers until the coverage collapsed on them or he panicked"...He's never been a top tier QB and he is now paid too, too, much money thanks to some people that need to have an evaluation...Gee, Art Model would roll over ...
  9. In my opinion its time for a coaching change, top to bottom...thats been evident for the last 4 years... Oz has seen the last of the days of living on 4th & 5th rnd draft picks(If he can't make the first 3 work, then trade them for quality players or quit)..I honestly think most people are shocked at the premium picks that have been wasted in the last several years (I'm being kind with several).

I'm not convinced, sorry...different inj's happened at different times causing unconventional alignments...A list is just a list and no better than the author...The weakest on the line was center. AND, lost the best left guard in football.
  11. The entire coaching staff starting with Harbs should be shamed, they should hope they have a job..This year, we start with a rb that should have stayed on the cut list...a QB that for some reason was very very slow to make a decision down field. is it likely his completion/yds were among the worst. wow: lose leads, lose to inferior teams, play calling, (SAD, when the head coach/OC are so afraid to attack in a vertical game with the WR's & TE's we had) Somebodys at fault. Think back to the NE game... 3/4 passes were to the sidelines..Remember the buck started with JH, & Ozzie..
  12. Very interesting, changes need to be made. Ozzie needs to tighten his ship. thats partially attrition & downhill... these guys don't have the body stamina to hold up to 15 or so years of beating...
  13. I'm sorry but yes you can blame JH as well as Ozzie, both in conjunction have the input & power to address, stock & build. But when you have so many 1st thru 3rd rnd picks that have become so unimportant the last few years and you rely on FA's & 4 thru 6 rounders to your not going to compete as witnessed the last 4 years.
  14. If this guy could stay healthy.... who knows what the 1st pick should be! This soft offense is so disappointing at times...but when your team is made of 4th 5th & FA's, what to expect... Elam should go, Brooks went, Webb? Then I could include a couple 1st rnders on the offense side too... just an opinion.
