It was one good throw but are you saying that's his only good throw this season? The bad comes with the good with every QB
1 minute ago, reed20 said:Lack of a ground game is why
So the flacco faithful make excuses but he will end up with a pretty good year and is 6th in passing yards this year his stats aren't that bad besides qbr which I believe is at like 85.0 so are you not making an excuse for a pretty good season?
49 minutes ago, OUravensfan said:Do I think Ben is good yea, would I be ok if he was our QB, yea, overrated? Absolutely and 100% immune to criticism, this thread is proof of that, I've seen Ben sail more balls than Flacco has.
I agree if you read the article posted today about the numbers of other top QBs around the league this week and really look at them you'd be amazed Ben is having a below average year but no criticism it just blows my mind
I'm not delusional to Flaccos play since the super bowl but in reality we haven't gotten a huge taste in my opinion 2014 which wasn't a half bad season last year but we know how that went and then this season coming off a ACL/MCL tear in week 12 which normally takes an entire year to come back from and he was out there the season opener I tend to give him a small pass early this season I was expecting it the guy has never had a major injury and I think most players understand what that does to you mentally maybe Steve is sick of being patient and waiting for the Joe he knows to come back I'm just saying to be fair to the flacco bashing we haven't had much of a taste since 2014 I'd say any game before the bye week I give him a pass there is a mental and physical barrier he had to get over he shouldn't have even technically been out on that field
I think some of you are hyping this a little Steve Smith is an emotional guy he knows if they don't win these three he's done no more shot at a super bowl he's probably emotional as Sizzle said Monday was a tough loss the team wanted that one in sure everyone is frustrated but at this time of the year Joe shouldn't be over throwing receivers at practice
His reaction was my reaction at home I was like you got to be kidding me
I agree when he got injured he seemed so frustrated on the field I've seen very few people act like that when injured you know he's gotta hate going down so often he knows this team needs him

If there is one thing I don't have optimism with is our secondary without Jimmy just look at the stats I think we will be fine against the eagles but we need to be full strength against Pitt
8 minutes ago, Deflated Football said:He didn't practice today so he probably won't play on Sunday. Unfortunately I wouldn't be surprised to see him shut down for the season to let him get healthy for the P word. I have enough confidence in Tavon to have him contain Green and Brown
I don't have enough confidence in Tavon in AB that's a tough matchup honestly with the season on the line if we win this Sunday if he can manage to play through it against the steelers I think he will
Marvin Lewis you guys are joking right the man has had so many talented rosters and can't win a playoff game stop it you guys never cease to amaze me here
Alright last one I kid you guys not I just threw a deep ball to Wallace down the middle and Butler picked it off the hands of Wallace is butler the one that picked it last night? ???
This is slightly off topic but it made me laugh in playing madden right now with a season as the Ravens and I'm playing the pats game and I had a huge 40 yard run and it was called back by a holding call I couldn't help but laugh this stuff is too realistic for me ??
I also really enjoyed Steve smiths comments after the game after being asked what's the mindset with a three game season and he said "we gotta play dangerous real dangerous and not not to lose" and he's 100% correct
5 minutes ago, DomMcRaven said:They just need to win the next 3. THEN, we can talk about seeing them again.
I agree completely but he just seemed pissed off which I like
I think this could be our Giants game of 2012 I'm super excited for Sunday I think the team will come out pissed off did anyone catch in the "late for work" article today suggs saying they better hope they don't see us again after being booed off the field I think last night may have pissed some people off... but on the other hand if we lose I think unless a lot goes in our favor the playoffs are a lost hope
Let's hope the bengals can take one from the steelers that would be huge going into Christmas they're playing hard I don't think it's out of the question
8 hours ago, rossihunter2 said:the eagles have the worst receiver corp in the nfl, a regressing rookie qb and an OL that isnt as good as was originally advertised
we should beat them at home - we need to rebuild momentum now because it all got diffused last night
This is enough said besides that this is a three game season then after those three games a 4 game season the focus should be on 3 games not what happened all season these three games are the only thing that make or break this entire seasons and I believe we have the men for the job some warriors who fight every week the veteran leadership and experience we have in this team should make for a focused team
1 minute ago, HoldingCall said:I see it more like this:
1) We lose all three and miss playoffs, 40% or less.
2) We win 1 of three games and miss playoffs (team would finish 8-8), 10% or less.
3) We win 2 out of three but miss playoffs,(9-7), 0%
4)We win 2 out of three and make playoffs, (9-7), 0%
5) We win all all three games , we are in, (10-6), 0%
I think these numbers are spot on he will be the coach of this team next year like it or not
5 minutes ago, Tiznut said:There was a big group of players and fans that wanted Rex. That's Rex "soon to be fired again" Ryan. Let's not forget that pollard did not win under anyone but harbaugh nor was he a raven under any one else. His brand of bs is akin to that of an ex gf/bf after being dumped it's completely irrelevant and full of bitterness
I'll respect pollards opinion when he has a career outside of Baltimore other than that he's just salty you're not a head coach for the same team for nine years and make annual playoff apperences and are a bad coach Imo
4 minutes ago, redrum52 said:Nothing wrong with optimism but when you say "when we beat the Eagles" it sounds like you're saying it's guaranteed. My bad... Guess I need to brush up on my reading comprehension.
In 13 controlled our fate. Blown out by the Bengals. 14 controlled fate and beat down by the Texans, but got lucky and made it. 15 was the season of IR. Now, with our season in our control show up flat. Still 3 games left for the team to disappoint though.
Basically been the go to recently.
I should've worded it differently in the first place that's my bad ? And I get what you're saying but let's be honest let's say we win out and win the division these boards will be a polar opposite even if we just beat the eagles going to the steelers game people will have changed there minds within one game just seems a little ridiculous to me is all it's not all bad and all good there are happy mediums
Pollard is just salty he knows the only way he would've had a career is if he stayed in Baltimore with ED he hasn't lasted for a reason and I'll say it once again we've been in the playoffs every year with him except on and maybe this year no coach is in the hot seat until it's proven things are going downhill imo he's got 2 more years unless next year is real bad
1 minute ago, Militant X 1 said:So this is what it has come to? Always bringing up the Browns misfortunes in order to make Ravens nation feel better about ours? C'mon man!
It's a perspective thing over half the league would trade for a team like ours always contending and always fighting for the playoffs or more except last season which we obviously had a lot of injuries we have been in the playoffs every year since the Joe and Harbaugh era like come on now some of you are just so spoiled rotten I know a lot of eagles, browns, jags, dolphins, jaguars fans and many more who would die to have what we have and all of you are crying after a loss to a team that I believe was 50-1 in prime time games in December at there house like come on man
12 minutes ago, redrum52 said:Haven't beat one team in the NFC East and the Eagles are a guaranteed win? There is no reason to believe ANY game left will result in a win.
lol no one said they're guaranteed do I think we will win yes do I think there will be a different sense of urgency with this team the next three games yes but every week this year it's like we lose the sky is falling we win we are on cloud nine I'm saying when or I should've said if we win everyone will be but yes I believe we beat the eagles we are very good at home not a single NFC east game has been home except the redskins and that was early in the season sorry does my optimism bother you?
If anything I'm helping the mods out

Flacco is apart of the game? It's very much about the thread or do you just not wanna argue with someone who will defeat your logic?
