I think if we can get atleast one more "playmaker" on both sides of the ball this team could be dangerous
Mosley is our leader for the future and dare I say minus the Rah-Rah he's our replacement for Ray Lewis he will get paid when it's time also but I think Suggs still had the veteran aspect of this team to get them ready for games

28th in the league with about 21mill before cuts

I'll go a step further and say trumaine Johnson 😎

Id say thats not awful from what I've seen from him
1 minute ago, Deflated Football said:Alshon should come relatively cheap but his injuries scare me. But still, I'd double dip and be greedy and sign both him and Garçon. Those two plus BP, Wallace and camp would be ridiculous. We need to surround Joe with as many playmakers as possible. If the defense keeps letting the other team score 30+, that just means that we have to outscore everyone. Imagine if we got Payton in here too.
If we could pull off both I'd be amazed but Garçon is getting old he shouldn't be all that expensive but he will still take some but I'd like to try and get Mo Claiborne also Mo and Jeffery and I'd be a happy camper
5 minutes ago, PurpleCity5 said:That's absolutely true and that's the problem, who are you going to replace him with? If a player like Brandon Marshall comes along who is a great WR but seems to bounce around is there then sure but if not then I guess you're going to stick with him. FWIW, I think Alshon Jeffery is a better player and at the same price I'm taking Alshon all the way. That's literally the only guy I could think of right now and even he has his question marks.
I know we're not getting a #1 WR but I don't think signing one is a horrible idea, It's not like we're developing one and then keeping one is going to be cheap either. If Ozzie could grab Julio Jones, Odell Beckham or Antonio Brown for $70M he would do it, but he knows for a fact that he won't win that bidding war.
The missing element to this offense has always been a play-maker. That's a proven fact and right now, with the way the offense has preformed this year, you could argue that play-maker might be up there with OLB, and CB. It holds this offense back year after year honestly.
Couldn't have said it better myself

Please read what I wrote again. No where did I say he didn't know the defender was there. What I said was he couldn't SEE him as he was behind him, as in he had no idea he would attack the ball from underneath or over the top. He did have both hands on the ball, squeezing it. The defender came underneath and popped the ball loose from his hands, he DID NOT "take his right hand off of the ball" as you said.
It's pretty ironic that you include a link to the Perriman highlights to support saying that he should leave his arms extended. In every single one of the catches in the highlights Perriman does exactly what any receiver is taught to do, catch the ball away from your body squeezing it in both hands and then pull it in securing it under the arm. Saying it was "the problem" that he was pulling it in is contradicting the fundamentals of catching a pass. What I tried to point out to you was that had he been facing the play seeing the position of the defender(like in the back shoulder fade in the Bennett example you first included) he could have possibly known to keep the ball extended to prevent the defender from coming underneath to pop it loose. It seems you may be confusing catching the ball securing with two hands, away from your body rather than allowing the ball to come into your body, with "keeping his arms extended" which is completely opposite of what any receiver is taught to do in a normal catch.
Just to add a quick edit here's a link to the Evans play. Notice he allows the ball to come into his body rather than catching it with his hands way from his body and securing it by tucking it under his arm. Obviously in no way comparable to what happened in the Waller play.
I just watched that the billy field goal I get PTSD every time
Lol all I gotta say is you're delusional if 1 you think John is gone this season and 2 if you think he should be let's put this in perspective 1 losing season 3 missed playoff apprrences 6 playoff apperences 3 AFC championship games and 1 super bowl he isn't the issue

After that season I swore to not let football take over my life like it had, I fed into the whole media Ravens/Indy playoff game with McNair and it was just not healthy and the team lost to then SB Champion. I did my admin/publishing duties on another site, no NFLN no ESPN the only thing that brought me back was being tapped to be a moderator on this site.
For me the loss to the Steelers 2009/2010AFCCG annoyed me and made me a true Steeler hater because of the way the fans/stadium personnel played "Renegade" as McGahee laid immobile on the field and boarded but again the team lost to the eventual SB champs.
I will never forget the 2010/2011 playoffs going in as a 12/4 wildcard, knocked off KC then there was the Steeler game on Jan. 15 --it sorta went down like yesterday ahead 21-7 at the half scoring off 2 turnovers Mendenhall turned it over then that bizarre Suggs hitting Bens arm as it was going forward ball on the turf and Corey Redding heads up picked up the ball and walked into the end zone. Ravens had a nightmare third quarter a TD called back from a pick six, penalties and dropped passes. I will never forget this game because it my moms funeral/memorial service we had the wake until 1530 then the crock pots came out and Ravens jerseys replaced formal clothes and we suffered through the game. I became an avid Packers fan for the SB, thankfully the Steelers lost.
2011/2012 going in as a number two seed lost again to the AFC Champ the Pats and they lost to the Giants.
2012/2013 some AFC team name the Ravens won it ALL!
2013/2014 Ravens DNC
2014/2015 Ravens went in as a 6 and lost to the Deflategate Pats in the Divisional round and the NEP beat Indy in the deflate gate game and went to beat Seattle. It should also be noted it was the first time the Ravens beat the Steelers in the playoffs.a
Now the dark ages begin no playoffs for two years, we could be Bills fans 17 yrs, Browns 14 yrs Rams 12 yrs yes it sucks, really sucks to miss the playoffs it could be a lot worse.
THIS some fans/teams would die to be us 1 non competitive year that's all and we had so many injuries even this year I feel I got a small playoff fix with that last game it had an obvious playoff feel I can't be mad we are one of the top organizations in the NFL and will continue to be

I guess I was more so ranting about everyone's crap towards flacco in general like oh we could draft someone better stop look how drafting qbs work for most teams Joe is our best option he is a top 10 QB he is our Eli Manning and I accept that stop crying about it he isn't going anywhere cause our front office isn't as delusional as half the fan base
3 minutes ago, Ravenseconbeast said:Watched plenty of Giants game. Cruz is done. He is a drop machine and he has absolutely no speed. He had plenty of opportunity with Eli this season as #3 WR.
All he did for Giants is tip the balls and make it into INTs.
If Garcon is available I'd go after him than Cruz.
I guess the few games I watched were different but yeah Garçon is second on my list behind Alshon
Do you watch the games flacco has been mobile plenty and bought time lol I'm not a flacco homer but this is ridiculous maybe at the begaining of the season I could see what you're saying but that's due to his injury he's past that lol some of you expect tom Brady play but fail to realize tom is the greatest of all time once in a generation you don't get that... had we won gen wouldn't be praised either he had a bad game or atleast what most of you would be calling for flaccos head bad game even though it wasn't awful so much delusion on this board

Id also think that Allen Hurns could be gotten in a trade for pretty cheap, but that's not a great contract to pick up. Hopefully that position is moreso addressed in the draft. Wallace, Perriman, Moore and Campanaro definitely isn't an ideal receiving corps, but I dont think any of the free agents are worth as much as theyll get paid.
Would love to see Cruz I think he's been swept under the rug by OBJ he could fit in here great
Please spend some money on Alshon and Claiborne that would do so much for this team now and in the furthe Claiborne and jimmy on the outside Tavon in the slot... Alshon Wallace and perriman with Watson and Dennis inside unfortunately we won't have the money to sign both of them

I love Alshon the most here and he is only 26.....Jackson is 33 and has had some injuries (dude is a monster when healthy) but how many times are we going to bring in those guys to be our #1? Garcon is 30 and probably a better fit for Flacco.
I personally love Alshon also I would like him the most then Garçon but bringing in Garçon seems like our FO move someone old and decently cheap... eye roll

3 minutes ago, allblackraven said:It's hardly Sizzle's fault that he has to play with one arm and after rehab for torn achilles at 34 yo. Still managed to be our best OLB this season.
But I tend to agree more with what he's saying above he has one arm at 34yo give him a break he still had a halfway decent season I think a healthy Suggs will be good for this team doom scares me but I still believe in both of them HEALTHY that's why I don't see pass rush a huge area of improvement not saying we couldn't add to that area for some help but we don't need an overhaul
11 minutes ago, balfan23 said:Well, I don't know ... the problem with that approach is that you can guarantee that a young gun comes in here and turns this unit around, he'll be gone in a year to be the HC somewhere else. There are a lot of success stories around the league with former HCs, who go back to being a coordinator and settle into that role permanently. Kubiak could have been a long term solution had his dream job not come open. He was turning down other offers for HC elsewhere. Todd Haley, Wade Phillips ... before that Dick LeBeau.
If Joe is starting slow and ending the season strong, is it possible that it is this crazy lack of consistency that is causing the problem? If we can say he's finished strong this season, then would it make sense to keep the guy who only was here for a part of the season? I don't know ... I just feel like the lack of consistency is a major problem and bringing in some wunderkind to use our OC position as a stepping stone is not what we need.
I think this was joes best season I'll say it once and I'll say it again I liked what I saw from him those first 6-8 games I give the man a pass he was coming off an MCL/ACL tear he should've been out for a year but thanks to today's doctors and technology we got him out there early you have to understand that does a lot to a players head especially his first major injury I'd say second half of the season Joe is here to stay and I'm okay with that
I really think Garçon, or Vincent Jackson or Alshon Jeffery will be here next season who would you guys want the most of the three?
2 minutes ago, rmw10 said:It's expensive, but I don't think you have much choice but to try to extend him or keep him at that number if you really have to. You can't go into the season with Perriman as your #1, and we'd have only Campanaro and Moore behind him.
I think Wallace is here to stay no way he is gone unless we have something big at the WR position coming... no way we go into next season with our #1 wideout being perriman I just don't see it
18 minutes ago, PurpleCity5 said:I think people are under rating the need of a WR severly. With Steve Smith likely gone, we're going to lack a playmaker. I know people are shouting Mike Wallace at me but he's had a pretty significant drop in production lately and it might make the team think twice about extending him.
Wallace is becoming a question mark to me, since week 10 he hasn't crossed 100 yards or recorded a TD. He's definitely going to be an asset, but not someone you want leading your receiving core. After that you have Perriman who isn't a safe bet but someone you know you will have to develop.
I think you at the least need someone who can make plays, too many times this team made Justin Tucker look good.
I 100% agree I don't see how people don't see this
For all you who say Suggs is done and he seems like he plans to be here next year how do you bench him he is the emotional leader of this team I'd just like to know if you really find it realistic he isn't starting next year
I don't think Garçon would be all that expensive he shouldn't be atleast he will pull some money but not a ton

I don't see how SSR gone and all we have is two speed guys and one isn't even fully devolved we need a good route runner

Fair but I think we have a good D our offense has some potential with maybe a KD breakout coming I think adding one could do wonders for us
