Yep 100% agreed. I love Garçon as a fit here and I think he's the perfect addition and hope he's the one we get. He's reliable and gets YAC and is high profile enough to be effective but also low profile enough to be cheaper than others.  I've warmed up to keeping Wagner because it'll mean we can keep our OL intact and that could be huge for continuity and I'd even suggest keeping Yanda at LG and move Lewis to RG but I'll take whatever I can get. I'd also be fine if we even moved Yanda to center, which may not be likely and I know Zuttah improved but I just don't want to see him anymore.  He still was regularly getting pushed back even late in the year and I'm worried he may be done or close to the end. And yeah, we need to aggressively move up and snipe guys from other teams like they've done us lately. Sitting on our hands and taking Correas, Codys, and others have hurt this team. Who wants Harrison Smith over Upshaw in a re-do? Lol. Moving up in 2013 would've been ideal since there were only so many quality guys anyway.

The more I ponder all this the more I like the though of Garçon and paying bigger money on D I think this offense showed glimpses of what it could do these last game putting up over 21 points and at times had bad drives but overall pretty good I think Marty having a full offseason joe having an offseason with the guys and keeping as many as the same players together as possible will be huge for this team I think Watson is gone and I fully believe Pitta takes a pay cut I think him and joe have too much chemistry to just let him go and I think pitta knows taking a pay cut is best for his career id love to see more Waller and pitta sets with Garçon in the slot with perriman and Wallace stretching the field and KD in the backfield I also love Juice and I think twest is still good for a year don't quote me on that so I think this running game will emerge this year I honestly believe we need one more big name cb on this team and we are contenders jimmy is too fragile I like what I see from tavon so if jimmy goes down we need that insurance policy... doom walks and we draft someone or let judon play there and I think a HEALTHY Suggs stays on the other side I'd love to keep Bwill but for the right price if not pierce had a decent rookie year he's so big I'd feel comfortable there also

Of course - check the percentage during Ray/Ed/JJ/Suggs/Ngata/Rice era and after they left.

Okay and those are big pieces we have made the playoffs without them and 2 sub par and for our fan base bad years and one awful one but I excuse last year just too many injuries no team could come back from that stop trying to blame him he's on of the best in the NFL

Now that I think of it, I remember people were saying that Georgia Tech had a triple option offense so I'm sure that was a prerequisite for WRs and TEs to block. I would've loved to see how Watson and Flacco would mesh, but that's been a moot point.

I kinda soured on Gilmore mainly because of his injuries, but hopefully the injury bug stays away from him. Besides Gilmore seems a little too slow for me, but maybe it's just me. Boyle I like more though for his overall game. Whether if it's Marty or not, I would love nothing more to see Flacco throw fades to Waller in the endzone. It's been awhile since I've seen a successful fade.

And you're on the money with Flacco. I still remain a Flacco fan so I'll give him a pass for this disappointing season. After all, it wasn't AS BAD as 2013. Nonetheless, I was happy he played well down the stretch for the most part. Maybe I sound liking a homer, but he'll definitely bounce back (contingent of what weapons he'll have at his disposal). I honestly wish the offseason started tomorrow because I have no interest in the AFC Playoffs (NFC seems intriguing for the most part). The ending of the Ravens season until the start of free agency is the worst part for me lol.

Yeah the end of this is spot on I wish the season was just over and we could move on but we still have two long months of football which I will still watch I'll still watch the bengals game as much as it will hurt me and I'll still watch the playoffs just because I love football but all this talk of free agents and stuff isn't relevant till someone is hoisting the Lombardi trophy 🙄

QB: Flacco is all we need

RB: West and Dixon with an improved line make a nice 1-2 punch.

WR: Need a big receiver that has great hands if anything. Wallace, Perriman are out only decent weapons left.

Oline; we need an anchor at Center. Zuttah isn't horrific but he has 0 push at the line to move defenders. Resign Wagner as priority #1. Rest of the line will fall into place when Lewis gets more experience.

    100% agree with all this

I'll believe it when I see it for more than a single game

Well the conversation came about after the Bengals game then came the Dolphins game where we kept it going then the eagles game but the Eagles game didn't pay off which is always a possibility and the pats game we never had a chance and even the Pitt game we kept pushing it with a ten point lead but the plays weren't made to go up another score whether it was perriman or Aiken watching the ball soar past him or Waller getting the ball knocked out we didn't capitalize in those situations but we didn't back down that's for sure

Interesting stats, do with it what ya shall:

2012 4 of our 10 wins were won by more than 8 points

2013 2 of our 8 wins were won by more than 8 points.

2014 7 of our 10 wins were won by more than 8 points.

2015 0 of our 5 wins were won by more than 8 points.

2016 2 of our so far 8 wins were won by more than 8 points.

I just want a coaching staff that won't take the foot off the gas on offense and that won't let the team back in it on defense. We are the Cardiac kids.

I think we started to see us keeps if the foot on the gas towards the end of the season the eagles game went bad but the Dolphins game is say was the start I think Joe finally got sick of it and Marty listened

You need a step up guy but you also need to consider what happens if that guy doesn't step up.  Perriman should be given most of the reps this coming Sunday but that remains to be seen.  Otherwise, you have (insert Wallace/other veteran here), Perriman, Moore, and Camp in this scenario.  Aiken is also a FA so we don't really have him either.  It makes no sense to cut Wallace at this juncture.  I think the idea of us dropping that much coin of a FA anyways is unrealistic.  I would fully expect another veteran.  Garcon was mentioned a lot and I actually think he makes a ton of sense.  We'll likely add another via the draft as well.

I think Garçon is the obvious pick by the FO this offseason get Garçon somewhat cheap and sign a Stephen Gilmore but I'd be content with that but I think Alshon could do wonders for this team Garçon is too much of a SSR and Q type of signing which I loved both of them but I want a young big guy who is a flat out PLAYMAKER when he's on the field but I don't think the FO goes for Alshon just because of off the field issues and price tag I'll be willing to bet we sign Garçon and someone like stephon Gilmore

If we keep Pees, we have to find another elite corner to back up Jimmy.....cuz his defense is all about one shutdown corner.....

If you watch the game, we rarely send help over Jimmy's side so LBs and corner can support the run and play one side zone defense.  We are #1 defense when Jimmy on the field cuz LB and CB can play at the line of the scrimmage without worrying on Jimmy's side....

We just need another clone of Jimmy Smith and it's gonna be costly.....

STEPHON GILMORE I've been saying this if we can let Tavon in the slot where he belongs and jimmy and Stephone this defense will be deadly and that Alshon signing 😏

Yep, I think that 4th quarter meltdown was 75% his fault. We tried so hard to prevent the big deep splash play that we were scared to be aggressive and just go after them.  Giving the receivers 7 yard cushions?  guys like AB and Ben will eat that up all day long. One tipped ball or interception on that last drive and we'd be in the driver seat right now talking about who was going to come to the bank as the wildcard. Instead we have to talk about next year and watch the Steelers carry on BC we played to not lose instead of playing to win, a reoccuring theme this year.

I think that's been a theme long enough that I wouldn't mind someone proven like Rex coming but idk still feel like he deserves more time that's a tough one but I do think this offense needs to keep Marty we need to not switch everything again give him a full offseason with his spin on the offense I think Marty deserves to stay put

The players seemed to come around on Dean throughout the year-esp sizzle. They all praised him pretty often. Not sure if they feel the same though after the way the season ended.

I agree and I'm a guy who goes big on player opinions not media and fans and he gets a lot of praise from the players but as much as I think he deserves another year I am sick of the blown leads in the second half because of conservative D that's one thing that seems to be a theme and never was until Pagano was gone

Do we give pees the benefit of the doubt since the defense was great all year minus the last 1/4 of the season and give him another year to keep up the continuity-or Promote Leslie Frazier to DC?  or bring in some new blood all together?

Everyone is calling for Rex around here I like pees but wouldn't be upset with someone new I guess that's probably a conversation John has with sizzle weddle and Mosley about what they want

    This year we lost to:

Oakland (6-1 Road Record)  #2 Seed AFC

@ NY Giants  (7-1 Home Record) #5 Seed NFC

@ Dallas Cowboys (7-1 Home Record)  #1 Seed NFC

@ New England Patriots (6-2 Home Record)  #1 Seed AFC

@ Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2 Home Record) #3 Seed AFC

Simply put we got beat by better teams this year. We could have won many of these games. We just weren't good enough this year and we ran into hot teams.

This is the best post all year that jets game really came back to bite us cause we were competitive in all these games very competitive so I think we could've competed with any team in the playoffs but I honestly think Tom Brady and the pats have the super bowl in the bag I think it'll be a Green Bay pats super bowl

I hear you bro..I haven't done any of my weekly routine watching mike and mike, any other games...any Pressers...this taste in my mouth just won't go away. I feel so bad for juice. He thought he was the hero and then gets let down by the D...such a shame.

I didn't even watch the post game pressers until last night and I normally watch those live

Weapons and systems make quarterbacks look way better than they really are. Which is why I HATED Peyton Manning. People talking about him making receivers look good... No. Marvin Harrison was there before and already a HOF at the time, Reggie Wayne was still good after he left... Had Dallas Clark. Then he went to one of the best team's with a great o-line and has a young Demaryius Thomas, young Eric Decker, and then later they get Wes Welker and they had Julius Thomas. Flacco's receivers can't even catch a ball half the time when it is in their chest.

The only QB I think isn't made better by there system is Tom Brady seriously I think the guy could throw to a rock and make it look good I have so much respect for him

    I never said that.

I understand it still feels like my puppy died I have that emptiness inside me I can't even bring myself to do my weekly routine of watching the pressers it's just too depressing

I think the biggest thing the team needs right now is a receiver. Mike Wallace is great but won't ever be a #1. Whether it is Breshad Perriman taking the next step or signing Garcon or Marshall via free agency.... I also think a big thing will be to upgrade the offensive line.

I also think the switch to a different system would help. I really do believe this season was a complete waste because of the Trestman system put into place. It makes me wonder where the team would've gone with a different coordinator at he helm and a different system. The running backs showed glimpses and it hurt watching Dixon have to break 2 tackles and truck a guy to gain positive yards. This was even when the team was pass heavy from the get go and you would think there would be less players in the box. But no...

And on defense the biggest thing is depth. Pass rushers and cornerbacks are a must. I think the biggest disappointment was the good start to the interior pass rush and then it disappeared after the first 5 games or so. Plus the team always fell apart once Jimmy Smith left. His health cannot be counted on and the team needs to find another big corner to put on the outside. The team's corners are too small and too slow when Jimmy Smith leaves the field.

Yeah that's why I'm saying a WR and a CB in my opinion draft a pass rusher or let judon get some more snaps I really honestly think a healthy Suggs and doom will still be good but I could be wrong

Will Flacco ever have WRs/TEs that don't let him down? The one time they came through Flacco got criticized as being bailed out by them, so tired of our biggest losses being defined by plays not made by a pass catcher, it has really gotten old.

100% agree but Watson and pitta next year should be a nice 1-2 punch Twest and KD should be nice with KD taking over we just need that's WR and I'd be hopeful next year could be a huge year for the offense............. I'll wait for someone to crucify me for optimism

Its been mentioned before, a double standard, but if Flacco throws short of the end zone with 9 seconds left and 0 TOs he is getting crucified by this board, Ben does it and is bailed out by the best WR in the league and he's the hero again. If Flacco throws those two picks Ben made, especially the first one, this board is crucifying him.

@rmcjacket23 The hyprocsy and contradictory desires from some fans with Flacco and defensive scheme, etc. really is something else sometimes, reflection is definitely needed. And sometimes, just sometimes, that opponent comprised of paid professionals just makes a great play and there's nothing that could of been done to stop it aside from a greater play.

I think I said this in an earlier post they don't wanna hear your logic they will ignore it and continue to be delusional

Good D?  You mean that monstrosity that gave up 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter Sunday afternoon and that couldn't get a sack on Big Ben to save their lives? That's a good D?  If that's a good D, I'd hate to see what a horrible one looks like.

P.S. Yes!  I'm still pissed by Sunday's loss that shouldn't have happened...but it did. So my responses may be filled with venom towards our boys at the moment. I should be fine by this weekend! :D

I can't argue with you there I think I shifted my focus to next year last night I had to let it go before it ate me up 😂😂 but yes for the most part dare I say we have the pieces if we beef up some week spots a bit
