  1. How about the perfect pass that Evans dropped in the end zone against Patriots? Give Joe some credit. He always plays well in post season. Regular season is another matter.
  2. If we had lost that SB, there would have been riots in the streets thanks to that shambolic power outage. Some pundits claimed it didn't have a massive impact as momentum was starting to turn, but the game was night and day pre and post power cut.
  3. Agree, Patriots don't have a great pass rush but their secondary makes them look like they got pass rush That's because all of their guys have been playing together for years. Only two players have been on different team (Eagles) for a short time and they have a secondary General: Devin McCourty. (7 years). Which brings up again two questions. 1). Do Ravens suck that bad a player selection? 2). Or are the coaches doing a bad job? We've not drafted CBs with high pick in the last decade, save for Jimmy Smith, and despite multiple efforts to find a value pick in later rounds, only Webb and Young come to mind as successes. We have been slightly better with veteran FAs - guys like Graham, Williams, and Stewart have done well enough here to price themselves out of our willingness to pay to retain them. Perhaps the reason we haven't taken the secondary more seriously is that we had stability with Ed for so long, and we've usually managed to generate a pass rush. Weddle is finally a stabilizing force at the back end, but our pass rush has really fallen off. our secondary covering for 3-4 seconds at the most is not enough for a pass rush until we have a good secondary there will be not pass rush mark my words We have to plan as if Jimmy Smith is permanently injured and when he's available, that's a bonus.
  4. So the Colts aren't satisfied with stealing our team back in the 80's, Pagano and several of our players? Stop trying to be the mid-west Ravens already and find your own personnel!
  5. Those bottom dweller teams with cap can surprise anyone. A LG--KO--was paid $60 million. I'd love to know how all these teams have so much cap room to steal our best players and overpay them every year. It's like we're the farm team for so many other franchises.
  6. Kubiak showed us how to execute the zone blocking scheme to perfection. Then he leaves and it's as if all that knowledge left with him. Harbaugh needed to be the one to insist we build on that great season, but we've had two forgettable ones since.
  7. Besides commercials, the amount of flags being thrown is driving me nuts. Every big play now I wait to react, given there's a 50/50 chance it'll be called back. Way too many rules. And replay reviews should be done centrally and take 30 seconds. Rugby has that figured out and they let you hear the discussion between ref and review booth which gives great insight into why calls are made.
  8. Agreed. That and RedZone Channel make it tolerable. Who has 3 1/2 hours of time to watch a 60 minute game (with 22 minutes of real action)?
  9. Ravens are the farm team for the rest of the NFL. We find rough diamonds in middle of draft, polish 'em up for three or four years and then allow other teams to poach them.
  10. It would help to get a burner like Tyreek Hill to complement the two starters. Hopefully one that doesn't punch his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach though.
  11. Concerned that as a #2 pick KC could only make Special Teams appearances. Hope we don't have another Arthur Brown on our hands. If Myles Jack turns into the star people think he can be, that R2 pick will sting even more. Early days though so hopefully he comes through for us.
  12. Can we hire the Steelers front office as consultants to help us draft a WR? Looks like they found another one with that Ayers kid.
  13. We'll have some tough choices at TE next season. Who do you cut from this group; Pitta, Gilmore, Williams, Watson, Boyle, Waller? Maybe we can get some value in a trade.
  14. Flacco needs help, The O-Line has been a band aid all year,...and now you see why we should RUN the ball! Geez..they better pay the kid Dixon, hes a warrior. if we can find a better balance of run/pass. Get a solid OG/OT we are gonna be ok..The D should upgrade secondary Too...needed I miss the days when we could just pound it down a defenses' throat. Need to get O-Line upgraded in the off-season. Pass rush is also a big need. And while I'm at it, the secondary needs some Jimmy Smith insurance.
  15. Pass rush, secondary and O-line need some help for sure. And persuading SSS to come back for one more year wouldn't hurt. Sadly he was our best receiver again.
  16. That was a tough lesson for the rookie, but we found a good one for the future. And in the 4th round no less, where we seem to do our best drafting.
  17. I've been wondering the same. He's been a ghost all season. If he's a bust and Myles Jack turns into a star, I'll be super pissed.
  18. The guy is essentially a rookie so we should cut him some slack as long as he's improving. I like how he's focused on the 'drop' rather than the TD.
  19. One of my all time favorite memories of the 2000 season is Goose absolutely pancaking Rich Gannon in the AFC Championship game.
