For people (like me) who struggle to maintain a grip on the tie-breaking procedures, here is a little breakout of the top six, and where we stand right now.

TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION
If, at the end of the regular season, two or more teams in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.

    Two teams
    1. Head-to-head (right now we own this over Pitt., but if they beat us 12/25, this goes away). :D
    2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division (Ravens own right now, 4-0 to Pitt's 2-1). :D
    3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games (right now we're even 5-4 each).
    4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference (right now we own, 7-2 vs. 5-3).:D
    5. Strength of victory (right now, Pitt owns by 5 pts.).
    6. Strength of schedule (right now, Ravens tied for 19, Pitt tied for 23). :D

Of course, these are in hierarchical order, and you only move down to the next one if the current one is a tie.  But our having beaten Pittsburgh once, and being perfect so far in the Division are huge.

So basically we have to win at home against the Eagles and at Bengals for sure, then we can afford to lose one of the game against Pats or Squelers ( if they drop one game). I think we will win Monday against  the Pats and the Pitts will drop one of the game against Bills or Bengals. My prediction for week 14 to 17: Ravens W vs Pats, W vs Eagles, L vs Squelers, W vs Bengals and Pitts L vs Bills, L vs Bengals, W vs Ravens and W vs Brown. Ravens win the division 10-6

  2. I ve been reading comments and need to jump in. This is my first comment here( btw any fans around St Louis area). Seriously we need to relax a bit. I know it s very hard to lose but we can't get ride of Ozzie and Harbs. If we do we'll be like the Browns. Sometime we need to be lucky with drafts, games etc... Our past drafts was not a disaster. We have CJ, B.Williams, Jernigan. I think with time Judon, Correi, Dixon and Periman will be good players. We have been drafting ok ( i don t expect us to get all impact players with our picks). Salary cap is hurting us to keep our young players. Looks at the past years how many good players we lost that could have made this team great.

Regarding Harbaugh. He is not Billicheat but he is a good coach, man coach. Remember when he got at least a post season win for his first years and a SB win. He took the team through diversities. Yes he made mistakes who doesn't.

I think let wait till the end of the season and see what we are as a team. Right now we are a bad football team. i think we ll go back to winning team. The problem right now is we are soft. We need to be more physical, play with heart, give time to Flacco to go deep, run the ball better and stop giving up big plays on D side. We need to be physical and nasty like the old days. The future is bright, we have young talents that will step up soon.

    Be patient!
