  1. What about Peppers? He is a talented kids, very versatile. He can be a corner, safety, PR/KR specialist.
  2. I think Jamal Adams is a good safety too. Also Peppers is not bad. He is a game changer. I see Pepper like Ramsey. He can play corner or safety/ LB. The kid is talented. I m thinking 3 QBs, 2 RBs, 2 WRs will go ahead of us. Also Garret, J.Allen, D.Bernett, Humphrey, Reuben Foster will be gone in top 15. So that will make one of them available for us. I really hope Hooker falls out top 10 and Ozzie make a move for him. I think we need more of a ball hawk safety than corner. I can't remember who but someone said a QB can avoid a CB but he cannot avoid a safety. Since Ed Reed our secondary has not been good. Hooker with Weddle as safety will be nice. A lot of things will change by April, Combine, Pro days and secrets about the players will come out. Remember Tunsil was best player in draft for a while then he dropped out of top 15 i think. So I hope we get lucky this yeat.
  3. I agree. I don't think so he is worth our 16th pick. We need game changer with that pick. I don't think so he is one. Game changers don't disappear in big games and last night was a big stage.
  4. That will be nice too. Get a corner or safety in rd 1. Then i won t waste our 2nd rd on a developmental pass rusher. We already have Judon, Z Smith and KC if we move him OLB. I would go top center in rd 2.
  5. No Gino was horrible in 13 that is why we trade for Zuttah. Then Zuttah play better in Kubiak offense( who does not play better in his offense). Then that was it. I honestly beliebe our OL issue starting when Matt Birk retired. Man, give protection to Flacco, he will tear down the defense.
  6. I agree. We can get our pass rusher in rd 1 and DBs in rd 3. DBs class is deep this year that we can get a starter at rd 3.
  7. That was Kubiak offense plus Zuttah was playing better then.
  8. He won t be there in 3rd. We need to build our OL. If we don t want to put money there in free agency, then we have to invest in draft. I said a second rd on a center. Did you see how our offense regressed when Matt Birk retired?
  9. I agree with both of you. It will be a hard sale.
  10. What about using some of our TEs for a trade? We won't need all of them. I have been calling for a package Watson& Max Williams in a trade for a while. Titans have two 1st rd picks and need TEs. Maybe use that package in trade with their no5 pick. What do you think?
  11. Not sure about B William and Mallet. But I agree with Devin Cook, if he is on board when we pick and DB M. Hooker and J. Adams are off board then we pick him. Get the top center at rnd 2, then 2 DBs in rd3. Then we restructure Pitta, Wallace and Web contract, cut Doom and resign him cheaper. Sign a top CB in free agent. We won't need a WR if we have Devin Cook and Dixon in our backfield. We will give them the ball 70% of our O snaps, then 30% deep pass to Breshad/Wallace/Moore and middle pass to Pitta/Waller/Max. That is Ravens football. On the defense side with two 3rd rd DBs from the draft and a top CB in free agency added to J Smith and Young, we will be fine at secondary. Resign Doom, both Doom and Suggs healthy will put pressure on QB. Judon, KC, Z Smith will be our young pass rusher. People are calling KC a bust but he has not been used as a pass rusher. He was used as ILB while he played edge in college so that is not fair. Also I think Kaufusi will be the best interior pass rusher we had for a while.
  12. I like Peppers, but I am hearing that Malik Hooker is the best safety, the like of Ed Reed. Also I hear that Jamal Adams is also better than Peppers. But all 3 are very good safety. One of them will be there at pick 16th. Also a top pass rusher and top corner will be there too. Basically when will be on the clock, we will have a pool of top 5 safety, top 5 pass rushers and top 5 conerbacks. So Ozzie will have to make a choice. Hopefully we will get a game changer.
  13. Harbs and his coaching staffs know what are the issues with this team. They have decided on an approach to fix it. Let not complain and call on failure day one. Let wait and see next season, then we will debate the decision. Marty can change his coaching style to adapt to the team strength. He did that this year and the offense was getting better later in the season ( not to count the bengal game). The organization believes this team is close to be great and needs few players to achieve it. We all can agree on that. So let wait and see what Marty will do next season.
  14. A risk is hiring a new OC and don't know how the team will respond to his scheme and coaching. Your definition of crazinbess is keep hiring OCs every year and expect different results. Harbs has a job to do, being a HC to his team. He is doing his job, he has gut, he is a man. So let wait and see in year. I bet a lot of fans will come here and say how good a HC is Harbs next year.
  15. I think that is the question and the topic we should be discussing. If we keep the same coaching staff, what is the plan next year to be better and be in playoffs? I hope the Harb and the FO will give us some information to ease the frustration of the fans. I hope also the writers, Ryan, Garrett, Sarah all give us some information. Harbs should be in the podcast lounge, I hope they push him to us some information on what will change next year. Because we are keeping the same staffs does not mean we are doing the same thing.
  16. gosh my raven fans, we are talking like we know football more than Harbs, Ozzie and co. We only see this team when they play on sundays. We don't know anything else. We don't know what is going on during practices, what is the plan. We cannot call for failure because we are keeping Marty and Pees. The organization has a plan, we don't know yet but we will find out. I have faith to the Ravens organization. We are one of the best organizations in the league. I am not happy about keeping Marty, but I will sit tight and see what will happen next year. Remember Harbs also said that he will hire a creative offensive coach. We don't know the plan, we are just fan, disappointed by the previous season. I hope whatever the organization is doing will work. I m a die hard Raven fan, I will always support this team, whatever the organization does. Go Ravens!!!
  17. Pass rusher and corner is deep this year so many teams will adopt the "we will capitalize on the depth" later approach meaning they will pass on the position in the first to grab other areas of need. Realistically we need to take one of the two unless for some crazy reason mike Williams or Fournette make their way to us. With Garrett and Allen being long gone we hopefully land one of he following pass rushers; Williams from Bama, Harris from Missouri; Barnett from Tennessee; or, CB Sidney Jones from Washington or King from Iowa. I also like Wilson from Florida. I agree, also maybe a top safety too like Mich Peppers or LSU Adams. A young elite safety added to Weddle should help our secondary issue too.
  18. So the guy we drafted in the second round to be the replacement for Dennis Pitta we suddenly don't need anymore? Would I personally trade him straight up for a top pass rusher or a top DB? Sure, in a heartbeat. The problem is that the Ravens won't do it and no team in their right mind would make that deal. Trades don't happen simply because you want them to. Other teams actually have to want what you've got. No, nobody will give you value to trade for Ben Watson. He's old. He's coming off a severe knee injury, and has one year left on his contract that would cost us very little to just cut bait with and some other team could sign him on a less expensive contract if they wanted him...that's saying he's ready to even ready to play at the start of next season. He was Pitta replacement in case Pitta could not play. After this year, Pitta can play another 5 years. He will just get better. Watson is not coming off Knee injury, he has achilles issue. We already know that old player can back from that injury and play ( SSS, Suggs, Dummervil). Also he has 2 more years on his contract. Who would not take the package Max&Watson. A young TE and a proven TE, that is value and security blanket. For us why have Max when we are not going to use him. We are not benching Pitta for him, plus Boyle and Gilmore are better blocking TEs than him.
  19. You never mentioned giving up a 1st round pick in your post. We're not trading Maxx Williams, nobody places that much value on Ben Watson, and a 5th round pick doesn't move the barometer. We don t really need Max. Wouldn't you trade him for a top pass rusher or a top DB which is what the team need. We have Pitta and Waller for our passing TE and Boyle and Gilmore as blocking TE. And yes people will give value to Ben Watson. Did you see him when he was playing for the saints before we get him. I m looking at the Jimmy Graham trade now and if i were Ozzie, i ll be calling Titans, Vikings, Eagles GMs for trade. We need elite game changers not just regular good players
  20. " Then in the draft get an elite pass rusher, shut down CB, a safety, an o-line G/C." Gee, is that all you want out of a draft? How about a true #1 WR and another future star franchise QB in the mix while we're at it? Flacco just renegotiated his contract recently to lower his cap hit. To expect him to do it again so soon is a little silly. Dumervil could be cut to save cap space. Brandon Williams is going to ask for crazy money. We aren't trading Maxx Williams and who in the heck wants an old Ben Watson coming off of a blown out knee? The Ravens are likely to cut him/injury settlement him. Why not? How many Brady restructured his contrat for the team. If you sign Alshon Jeffery you don t need to draft a #1 WR. We can give an extension to Dumervill to lower his cap. We don t need to cut him. All I am saying is feasible and will good for the Ravens. Why not trade Max when you have an healthy Pitta, Waller, Gilmore, Boyle. And if you can trade trade Watson why not? Why cut him?
  21. I didnt want us to lose, especially being Smitty's last game but we deserved to lose that game. #5 knows that he isn't going anywhere no matter how bad he plays and its easy to see. I would love to see us trade up in the draft with our 3rd round comp pick but I can already see us trading down for more middle of the draft picks. Maybe we send like TEs Max and Watson and a 5th/6th rounder to Tennessee for their #5 pick. They have 2 first round picks and need Tight ends. You clearly do not understand the value of picks or I hope you are kidding? You want to trade our 2nd round pick from a couple seasons ago that has had injury problems, and then an OLD Ben Watson who spent all season in the IR with a blown out knee....and a 5th round pick for a 5th pick overall in the draft? You aren't getting a 1st round pick without giving up one first...so you start right there. Then to move up the spot the Ravens want to get to they'd probably need to tack on a 3rd round pick. The Titans would likely ask for a second round pick. I m talking about moving up. They will get our 16th pick, a young TEs, a proven TE and a 5th round. I said that because they need TEs and have 2 first rd pick. Why not
  22. I didnt want us to lose, especially being Smitty's last game but we deserved to lose that game. #5 knows that he isn't going anywhere no matter how bad he plays and its easy to see. 23. I think Leslie Frazier was brought in to take over D Pees. Also we will get a better OC. After, my opinion is to lower the cap hit on Flacco, Dumervill, J Smith contract and then sign Alshon Jeffery ( best WR for Flacco), bring back Juice, B.Williams, Zach Orr. Then in the draft get an elite pass rusher, shut down CB, a safety, an o-line G/C. Also we have do something with our TEs. We won t be able to carry them all in the team next year. Better get a draft pick/trade player for them than losing them. We have Pitta, Gilmore, Watson, Max, Waller, Boyle. We only need 4 really. Maybe trade Watson and Max. We get good value out of them.
  24. For those curious about how high or low we can pick, here are some stats I put together, Sunday games will change it. As of week 16 Week 17 opponent Record: 12. Buffalo Bills: 7-8 SoS .493 Jets (4-11) 13. Indianapolis Colts: 7-8 SoS .510 Jags (3-12) 14. New Orleans Saints: 7-8 SoS .510 Falcons (10-5) 15. Philadelphia Eagles (via MIN): 7-8 SoS .514 Cowboys (13-2) 16. Tennessee Titans: 8-7 SoS .445 Texans (9-6) 17. Baltimore Ravens: 8-7 SoS .510 Bengals (5-9-1) 18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 8-7 SoS .510 Panthers (6-9) 19. Denver Broncos: 8-7 SoS .540 Raiders (12-3) 20. Washington Redskins: 8-6-1 SoS .507 Giants (10-5) Doing the math, no matter the outcome of our game vs Bengals, we will pick between 14-20. Redskins are fighting for a playoff spot so I see them winning, also I see a Tampa Bay and Detroit win. So if the ravens win, we will pick between 17 if Broncos win or 18 if Broncos lose.
  25. Ravens cannot pick at 21, the lowest will be 20. Also we won't be able to pick at 12. If Ravens lose and everyone else win, we will be at 8-8 and some of the 8-8 teams have a less strength of schedule than us. Tie breaker with draft order is opposite to tie breaker for playoffs. I think the best we can have is a pick around 14. I think Garrett Downing was wrong in yesterday Final Drive. Ravens cannot have 21pk nor 12 pk.
