  1. Fans have got to stop using Brady and the Patriots as a comparison. They are the best team in the League and have been for over a decade. It only leads to your own frustration.
  2. So much talk of Ozzie trading down but with a draft this deep there may not be many teams willing to trade up. Unless someone basically gives us their draft for our 1st, I think we stay put. I also don't think a RT is worthy of our 16th. We can find someone suitable for a much lower cost. Pass rush, Foster or WR in the 1st.
  3. I think if we spend some draft capital on the Oline it will make everyone on the offense look better. Marty just has to do his job and scheme to our strengths like run first and play action. Kubiak made Forsette look like a top 5 RB and Joe was on fire in 2014. Line and OC will matter more than using a first rounder on a RB or WR.
  4. I'm curious what makes you think the Bengals will be better next year after losing their starting LT and RG? This is on top of all of the players they lost in 2016 that led to a 6-1-9 record.
  5. Earlier this month, Newsome said the combine incident did not change where Foster ranked on the Ravens' draft board."He went to Alabama, so I think I have the inside [track] on most of that information that comes out of there," Newsome said. This makes me think we are not interested. Why would Ozzie make this statement if he were? Wouldn't it have been better to say that the incident was a disappointment if he were truely interested so other teams would stay away. This comment makes me think Ozzie wants someone to pick him before us so it pushes the players he really wants down the board.
  6. Have to love Webb. That kind of team player is almost non existent in this world. He deserves to retire a Raven.
  7. I don't know what it is, it certainly isn't logic or facts. But I have a feeling one of either Bronson or KC will be a difference maker this season and my money is on Bronson. I think we as a team need KC to fill the void left by Orr but that may be too much to ask of him this season. Hope I am wrong and they both excell.
  8. Don't forget that when Suggs missed the 2015 season Doom was forced to play all 3 downs. He was always too tired by 3rd down to be an effective pass rusher.
  9. No to players that are good at several possitions but master of none.
  10. Good news is they still have time to develop. Didn't Max put up the best numbers for a rookie TE in franchise history? I know it wasn't anything to write home about but the potential is there. He has to work hard and rise to the top. It's still possible. Hopefully Correa takes the next step this year and locks down the spot next to Mosley for many years to come. It's a lot of pressure but he will have the opportunity to succeed. Also excited to see what Bronson will bring to the table this year. Could be another surprise player. Last years draft class has the potential to be historical.
  11. I was thinking 23. It would be the ying to Weddle's 32 yang.
  12. Like any business you need a mix of young and old to make it work. Too many young players may provide speed but they lack the experience to put themselves in the correct position to make a play. While too many vets and players know where to be but just can't always get there in time. If we can add a player or two in the draft we will have a nice balance.
  13. Just take your ball and go home. 😀
  14. Great news about Webby. He will be a very versatile player. Webb is about as true a Raven as we have on this roster. He has always worked with the FO to lower his salary (no small gesture), played through injuries, changes possitions to fit the teams needs, does a ton of charitable work in the community and stays loyal to the team. There are so few players that I would say embody the team philosophy so thoroughly. Suggs, Flacco, Yanda and Webb. They give themselves for our team and I appreciate it very much.
  15. I would feel much more comfortable going into the draft if we resign Webb and Doom. Quality reliable depth is always a good thing.
  16. The FO said they want to get bigger on Oline so they trade 6'-4" 308lb Zuttah. I don't see the value in replacing him with 6'-3" 300lb Urschel or 6'-4" 310lb Jensen. Not only are the about the same size, they are less experienced than Zuttah. They will definitely sign a large FA or draft one. Otherwise the Zuttah trade looks foolish.
  17. Joe is set to receive a salary of 6 million in 2017. Why would he take a pay cut? The rest is all bonus money that can't be negotiated.
  18. I wonder if the fans complaining about us trading up in the third instead of accumulating another 4th round pick are the same ones that complain that Ozzie drafts quantity over quality?
  19. A few spots? We moved up 25 spots. We traded our comp pick which was more of a fourth rounder than a third. Yes it will make that big of a difference. Some of you are way overvaluing Jernigan. He is good, not great. No one was going to give us a third rounder for a rotational player. Not going to happen. So would you have preferred the Eagles 4th round pick instead? They pick at 119 which had a value of "56". Ozzie was smart enough to trade our comp pick that had a value "104" to move up 25 spots for the 74th pick valued at "220". Thats an added value of "116".
  20. Someone please tell me if moving up 25 spots in the third is worth more than getting another 4th? I feel like this is a win
  21. I personally hate all Thursday night and Monday night games because I do not pay for cable or satellite and until the nfl starts streaming games live I don't get to see any of them.
  22. Anything can happen on draft day. There are always trades and picks that no one saw coming. For instance, the Texans could feel compelled to trade up for a QB if they get paranoid and think someone else may grab their guy first.
  23. Tony Romo just retired. That should move a QB up the board allowing us to have more options at 16.
  24. Chester was a second round draft pick. In 2006 we drafted Ngata in the first
