The common thread in 5 offensive coordinators and years of poor offense . Flacco does have his good games too,but he still throws off his back foot,he still has many games where he is very inaccurate. He is the ravens q for the next several years,,it is what it is. Instead of being suprised by throws like that,we should just accept that and try to improve the running game ,imho.
Threre is general question of evaluating talent. Not just draft picks ,which is difficult to predict .But players that are on your roster where you ve seen what they can and can't do in preseason, practice and playing. James Hurst especially comest to mind,,we are one injury away from our offensive line being crap. Matt Elam, the other safety whose name i can't remember right now ,who s on IR . On the other side. Chris Moore ,as someone just mentioned, seems like a player to me. I think he would be great in the slot.
Dude scanned and didn t read previous thoughts,,,,my bad.
Pre draft many were clamoring for Noah Spence, and he was available . How is KC doing in comparison to Spence?
Joe Flacco improve? He's in normal "regular season" form. He only plays what his contract value is during the "playoffs". So the running game, defense and Justin Tucker must play well to get us to playoffs then Joe will play elite.
So?
So,after 9 yrs we ought to stop making EXCUSES for what Joe is and accept that he is an avg q and he is also going to be the ravens q for the next few yrs. Let s stop pretending otherwise. Let s not discuss Flacco further,we know all there is to know about him. The fans, coaches and media should focus more on other aspects of team. I would say the offensive line .
Just wondering when we are going to start using our best offensive players in order to score more. Wallace. Perriman and Pitta. These guys do NOT get near
enough targets. We spent money on Wallace and Pitta and Perriman is a first
round draft pick. What did they get on Sunday like seven or eight targets. Why do
we not go to our best players? Mind boggling.
Mind boggling indeed.
1. There isn't a quarterback in this league that would look good with this offensive line. I m not even a huge flacco fan.
2. The cornerstone of pass defense is a pass rush ,at least the semblance of one or the threat of one. I dont blame the corners. They were great at times and bad at times.
3. Harbaugh is the antithesis of a thinking coach like Belichik. He goes with his gut and lacks simple rationality The ravens would have won at least 1 more game this year ,if not all three.
4. Wasn't improving the pass rush the number one goal of the draft? Judon looked great on the very few plays he was in the game. Please let Judon start. Let Kamalei develop as originally intended as an outside LB.
This team is not going to the playoffs. Let the young guys play,,Judon,Kamalei,Moore,Dixon,Pierce,whomever………..
Hello Board
I just signed up but i ve looked at this forum for years. Everyone is just sharing opinions. Without a doubt,Sami 84 has excellent insights. Right far more than wrong and looks at somethings that others don t ie one comment he made recently was about certain starting players are also on special teams and how that might affect their play. I thought the same when I saw Zach Orr ,imho, our best player on defense ,also playing on special teams. Thoughts on that?

If you watched every ravens game this year, you know that they just played their second best game of the year. It was a great game to watch. Unlike many of their victories which are pretty ugly.
The defense did collapse at the end of this game. It s highly doubtful this would have happened if Jimmy Smith played today.
The defense isn't to blame for the season they had. Some say the high ranking for this defense isn't accurate in view of the competition yet the offense played the same competition and was ranked 29th . In this game the defense which did collapse in the end ,gave the offense every opportunity to score many more points.
The defense needs to improve some, specifically pass rushing and one more corner. However, the offense needs to improve dramatically.
