  1. I have to worry about what Smith actually said to Marshall. He didn't say that he told them the Ravens were a great organization or that he thought it would be a good career move for Marshal. He said he thought it might be a good fit. S

Smith was really irritated by the checkdown offense the Ravens ran last year, he didn't get the catches and yards he anticipated, I am sure he told Marshall that with Flacco at QB, he is not getting a top flight QB who is going to help Marshall put up another 1000 yard season, that is unless he lines up in the backfield.

He is absolutely right, Flacco is the quarterback everyone thinks he is.

Just to put it into perspective,  the 20 gms of cannabis is less than an ounce,  and legal in a lot of states.

The 3 gms of oxycodone,  however,  are usually prescribed in 5-30 mg tablets, so that's between 100-600 pills. No way he got those legally, that's some serious weight.

he had 126 grams of marijuana. sad to hear about this. always held out a glimmer of hope. felt like we never used him right and he looked good right before the last time he got hurt again. he was making some nice tackles

Who cares about how much the drugs weigh, THEY ARE ILLEGAL.

Yeah, he had 126 grams and I'm guessing the cops weighed the oxycodone and didn't count the mg of the pills to get to 3 gms. But anyway you cut it how stupid can you be. It amazes me how these guys can make millions and still open up themselves to getting busted like this. Just sheer ignorance and stupidity.

    AMEN

  4. Really?! Driving around with 126 grams of Marjuana? That's just dumb man! Why the hell are you driving around with that mutch anyways?!!!

if your stupid enough and rich enough to buy 126 grams of Marjuana then you sure as heck can afford to get it delivered to your destination!

you deserve to spend time just for acting so damn dumb. I'm done defending anything Elam ever does. And whatever it is, I hope he does it away from the Ravens organization.

Put a big S on Elams forehead. Love the analogy.

They should have cut his butt last year and keep Brooks another stupid harbaugh idea

Yea, I actually felt the same way but I am sure there was some type of logical reasoning behind it. We don't usually give up on third rounders that easily.

Yeah he was is in harbaughs dog house because of some mental mistakes in Practice

It's been medically proven, drugs mess up you brain, Doing any kind of drugs is stupid. Maybe that accounts for the mental mistakes.

I think you are stretching things about every position, its a match game when you are facing FA with the talent the Ravens have.
I find it amazing how its said there is so much to need, yet, we value every player we have?
    Lets look at it just a little more in detail instead of generalizing- Jacket is correct;

Tackle or a Guard in the draft - added to Stanley, Lewis, Yanda, Jenson, Urshel, newbies- Nembot, Skura, Pughsley, De Ondre with an option at Ducasse.

QB, TE, strong RB and WR good but could use some strengthening

The D line is solid, just need to decide on Williams.
The LB corp is well above average.
Safeties corp finished well last year, solid for the most part.

CB is the position of big need for the Ravens .

The Ravens are in better shape than many NFL teams, They need to tweek things and maybe be a little more risky in my opinion.

I'm really not trying to be an alarmist but the way I see our roster is this:

    Offense:

    QB - set

RB - I am fine with what we have but so many feel we could use an upgrade

TE - I am fine with what we have but so many feel we could use an upgrade

WR - Need to replace SSS and maybe Aiken

Oline - Need to replace Zuttah and maybe Wagner and add bigger stronger depth

    Defense:

Safety - Webb needs to be upgraded

CB - Need upgrade opposite Jimmy and possibly another quality addition to back up jimmy when he misses games as he does

MLB - need to replace Orr

OLB - need more pass rush

Oline - there will most likely be a drop off in production if Williams goes so we will need to try and help Pierce and maybe Davis if they are not up to the task.

So thats every group but QB, RB and TE. I know we have young draft picks that should be able to fill some of these voids but the FO doesnt speak about them with confidence. I think we will field a respectable team next season but it will be a surprise if they can fill all of those weaknesses. I also have high hopes that Maxx will have a big year after setting rookie TE records last year. And our draft picks from last year may also contribute in a possitive way taking some of the pressure off the FO.

Why are Ravens so hot on Wagner. What has done, nothing to speak of? Can anyone tell me why is so coveted? Same with Ureshal. If they are so good, why aren't they starting?

  7. While I would love for Williams and Wagner to both stay its not worth throwing more and more money their way if they don't want to be a Raven. I look at players like Suggs who want to retire Ravens and worked with the FO to make it work for both himself and the team. Those are the players I want to see on this team.

Agree, Wagner hasn't done much. He has had chances, to solidify his position or talking potential, he hasn't proven his in 4 years.

  8. Banner would be an interesting project if he were available at our 3rd round comp. he apparently is very competitive and isn't lazy like McKinnie was. He comes in between 330-340 and continues to work on his foot work and he could be a tank in the run game, if he's too clunky at RT he could be moves inside to guard if Lewis is the better option--I have 0 faith we will sign Wagner lol.

How many projects had in the past, who didn't pan out. I would not use an early round pick on Banner, 6 or 7th round, maybe. It like the D-lineman from Alabama, who was over 350, he could move or be motivated, plus he was an animal abuser.

If Wagner is so good, why was he mentioned more last season? Why didn't he win the RT job outright? He has not distinguish himself as a starter. We have all these potential player that don't pan out.

I'd put my money on Brandon Williams, we know what he can do.

  10. Flacco needs hard nosed coaching. He's friends with Ron Jaworski, he's seems so knowledgeable on ESPN. Instead of those two looking at golf courses to buy in the off season. Jaworski could help Flacco as a quarterback. Otherwise, bring in a strong QB coach, that will help read defense and whatever Flacco needs to be successful. Maybe Gary Kubiak can be hired to be Flacco's mentor. If not Kubiak, there has to be another quarterback that can help Flacco.

  11. Frazier is a big loss! The secondary played leaps and bounds better this year than last and i am sure he had a lot to do with it. IMO we should have let Pees go or moved him to a lesser role and promoted Frazier to DC but thats just me.

The UFA issue is something that happens every year in Balt. Wagner is good but not worth a big contract you just don't pay those players top dollar. They can move Alex Lewis to RT and look for a Guard in the Draft, interior lineman are easy to find in the mid rounds (KO 2nd, Yanda 3rd, Lewis 5th ect...)

Dennison absolutely needs to be brought in as the the QB coach.

Amen, someone needs to get Flacco, on track.

  12. Could have a very solid coaching staff next season.

I agree, Castillo saw the hand writing on wall. Frazier helped the rookie CB, what about the other CB's , he didn't help any of them improve. I hope whoever comes in is an upgrade. Lets get back to the Ravens way. If Castillo was so good, why didn't Andy Reid take him to KC. Castillo was all finesse, O Linemen need to be bully's, hope we draft big bully's. Lets say good bye to Zuttah.
