  1. The Ravens say they need to get younger. The Raider and Texans each have 2 former Ravens, all under 30, with 3 to 5 years experience starting for those teams. Who are the genius coaches who told Harbaugh they should cut. It again boils down to coaching, these guys don't know what they are doing, they should be in the ones in the unemployment line. John Simon was really talked up about being a good player, they were right, he's now starting for the Texans.
  2. Smith hasn't healthy since he was drafted. Is he fragile or can't play through injuries? If he can't stay on the field, he should be let go. Potential can only go so far.
  3. That's why we need a slot receiver. Someone quick that can get open immediately and is a threat to take it to the house on any touch. You would be amazed how one player can help to open up an entire offense. Our line with Stanley, Lewis, Wagner, and Yanda is quite formidable. We definitely need a Center, but that position can be had in the 3rd or 4th round, with a comp pick. Tyreek Hill is a prime example. How did we miss on Hill, he had a character issue in HS, so what.
  4. Excuse me, Zuttah makes over 4M, sorry.
  5. I don't recall hearing Arrington and Kendrick Lewis' name being called in games this year. Yet, the Ravens a paying each of them, making over 2m a year, for what? If you watch the games, most of the pressure on Flacco comes up the middle, Zuttah's center position. We could have cut him, saved over 7M a year, and used part of the money to sign Osemele. He's in the playoff, where are the Ravens. He made the Ravens look like chumps when they played the Raiders.
  6. Why can't the Ravens develop their own players, instead of taking other team's castoffs.
  7. If Wright is a big drop off from Jimmy Smith, why is he playing? Give one of the rookies a chance, can't do any worse. The Ravens may find another "hidden gem" we won't know unless they are given a chance. I'm beginning to question Leslie Frazier's capabilities to develop talent.
  8. Get moving NOW, before new head coaches start filling their coaching staffs. I still say Mornigweg and Pees should be let go, start fresh. I understand the need for continuity, it doesn't make sense not to keep those two, the problems start with them. Flacco didn't get better with Mornigweg as quarterback coach.
  9. Castillo should be next. Whoever calls plays, Morninweg?. We need tough guys on the line, finesse is not working, get bulldozers.
  10. Our late game defensive strategy has to change. We had leads late in the game. Teams make adjustments to what the Ravens are doing. We don't take any counter measures. If we don't generate much of pass rush with four linemen. What makes you think, we can do it with three, simple math, DAH. Stop playing to lose, yet we give away the game. Too much old school.
  11. How can the Ravens look so good against Miami, the season looked promising, then el-floppo. Did the Ravens get too cocky?
  12. Get some nasty road graders in here, get back to smash mouth football. Maybe Zues would be interesting, finesse isn't working, no more Mister nice guy. Get back to the Mantra, "we'll eat your lunch"'
  13. I'd make the same case about Bobby Engram. The only talent we have from the WR's is the talent we import, not the talent we draft or develop. None of our outside receivers seem to be capable of getting open at all against zone coverage or press coverage. It is almost as if our guys run their pattern and if they're not open because the defense is playing zone, they just stop. "I'm not open so I guess the play is over. I'm not going to try to work back to my QB or anything." So again what is the issue here? Are the plays the issue? Is the coaching the issue? Are the players the issue? All I know is this is the same problem I've seen with our receivers for years now and nothing changes at the WR coaching position. Too many old school coaches on the staff, it's a new era, get some young coaching talent in here.

All I know is this is the same problem I've seen with our receivers for years now and nothing changes at the WR coaching position. Good point that the receiver don't work hard enough to get open. Look at other running backs in the league, when there's initial contact they stop. They don't keep their legs moving, they just collapse. The journeymen receivers don't seem motivated. Other receivers lay out to make catches, if the ball doesn't hit them in the hands, it's like oh well. Even when the ball hits them in the hands they don't catch the ball. We need a coach that can teach the receivers to work free. Watch the Steelers and Patriots, receivers who can get open. How does Julian Edelman get open so often, he's a tough guy.
  15. Finally, Harbaugh is looking to upgrade the offensive coaching staff. Looking into college coaches is a real very good idea. Please stay away from the Good Old Boy Network, your friends who haven't done good jobs elsewhere. A strong Quarterback coach is a necessity.
  16. How many times have we seen it? I mean if its 3rd and 6 our CB's are playing off at least 8-10 yards We have to jam their receivers. It's better than giving them a 5 to 10 yard head start. Our receivers can't off the line because they are jammed.
  17. He can't move, no pocket presence. Flacco does not have a lot upstairs. If it's a design play he will roll out. Otherwise, he going to just gets sacked, hit, or harassed.
  18. How many times have we seen it? I mean if its 3rd and 6 our CB's are playing off at least 8-10 yards Zone coverage calls for CB to be 8-10 yards off the line - Cover 2, Cover 3, Cover 4, Cover 6. It's standard with every team in the NFL and college. Unless you're playing press coverage, that's exactly where they should be. And we don't have the corners to play press. That's like saying why does the RB line up behind the QB, 5 yards from the LOS on 3rd & 1. Line up under center would be way better that way, he only has to gain 2 yards instead of 6. Then we need to change coverage or draft or sign shut down corners. Oh, there's the salary cap thing. Get rid of the dead wood who can't earn there keep. Why are the Ravens so enamored with Shareese Wright, I believe the Rams cut him, need I say more.
  19. Lets get real here, we need some big nasty, offensive linemen, it has to start with both lines. That's the key to winning teams. Ozzie has missed terribly on early round draft choices too many time. Flacco, needs to go, trade him for a first and or second draft. It could work, if Ozzie rights his own ship. Sign Tony Romo, if healthy, he may be serviceable for two or three year, he can't do any worse than Flacco. What has Flacco done since we won the Super Bowl, we keep wallowing in mediocrity with him. I think Harbaugh is burned out and needs to go else where. Being a player's coach is not working, we need someone to kick butt. Adopt the Patriot way, If you can't do the job, you're out of here, it works. The Ravens need to stop looking at players the Matt Elams, to get better, there are many more, who are always hurt or just mistakes we've made drafting them. Like the old saying, fish or cut bait. Look around the league. How many former Ravens have made it with other teams, not many. We just don't draft serviceable players in the early rounds of the draft.
  20. It's totally impossible to make any sensible predictions for next season now. We won't even know their rosters in more than half a year... I've seen enough to make an educated prediction about next season. Me to another 8-8 or 9-7 at best I don't know why steve B would give it another year clearly harbaugh likes his buddies but at the expense of paying fans and another year This is the way in the coaching profession, Quid Quo Pro. I'll take care of you now, you take care of me later. I bet that Bisciotti doesn't work this way in his other businesses.
  21. Thank you, another like mind. The ravens are not a charitable organization. I thought only politicians gave jobs to their friends and cronies. Harbaugh wants to show he's a nice guy, by hiring his friends.
  22. Gary Kubiak, was the only coach who control Flaccko. Too bad he's sick and giving up coaching.
  23. Harbaugh relies too much on the OLD BOY NETWORK. How long was Morningweg and Pees, out of league. Both were mediocre in their last jobs. As a manger, you need to infuse new blood in organization. I'd even take Lane Kiffin at this point. Did I really say that, Yikes.
  24. Can't wait Harbs, just put his job on the line with this call. We've had 5 OC's in the last 5 years. Isn't it the head coach, who select the best coaches for the job. I will keep saying the same, Harbaugh keeps dipping into the old boy network for coaches. Bring in some young coaches, remember, they did that with YOU. The Ravens need to get younger with players and coaches.
