I'm an Army JAG Officer and a total Football nut. I played tackle football with my brothers growing up and would have tried out for our High School team if field hockey wasn't the same season! (I did end up playing guys lacrosse during HS because we didn't have a girls team! but that's a different story...) I was serving overseas when we won the Superbowl in 2000 and I remember taking the whole next day off when we won! No one expected me in anyway - I talked so much trash that week, lol. I get excited for the little things like the combine, OTAs and mini-camps - because it means the season is right around the corner! The Ravens are the best organization in football and they treat their fans right! The Military Appreciation day they've done the past few years has been fabulous - Thanks!!
UPDATE: I was deployed to Afghanistan from June 12-June 13. I had to submit my dates for R&R in Aug 12. I couldn't believe I was going to miss the whole season and couldn't decide which game to attend for R&R, so I picked the Super bowl. Everyone laughed at me... but I had the last laugh. I came home just in time and my husband and I had the time of our lives watching the Ravens win Super Bowl 47! It was amazing- best R&R ever! WBAL TV came to our house to interview me and then I was interviewed again after the game. it was a great time.
