you sur you want to trade up for this myles guy?
7 hours ago, JoeyFlex5 said:it would be the best move tbh. unless derek barnett falls to 16 i think trade back should be our top priority. we can move back to the mid 20s to pick up a 2nd, and we can still land one of charles harris, tim williams, haason reddick, tj watt, or a cb like tre white or possibly even sidney jones or quincy wilson, and if were feeling like manly men we can take dan feeney and really bring a boost to our run game. no matter how we look at it, we could trade back to the mid or even late 20s and still get a guy at a position of need that would be going top 20 in most draft classes and pick up another 2nd rounder and maybe even a 3rd if team is desperate.
a trade back could completely turn the franchise around.
trade up, trade back, what evah happened to stand your ground and pic well?
nah, get high nuff to not miss or trade far enough away to try and win with one pic in a slew

Ozzie just Has to start getting us some better talent in rounds 1,2 and 3. I love Stanley. Let me make that clear. But we haven't been getting Near the talent level we should be getting from our higher draft choices. Stop thinking too much, Ozzie, getting an extra fourth rounder by moving down the board so many times. Instead, stay put and draft better players. Those early rounds are supposed to be where you get your best prospects and guys that help your team get better. That has not been happening enough. Not Nearly enough. Honestly, just how many people had even heard of Correa and, even, Kaufusi before we drafted them? I can only hope that Kaufusi's lost season due to injury will get behind him and he will prove to have been a good choice. But when your biggest contributors tend to come from the 4th round, or later, it would seem that you are not drafting very well.
agree completely. we have been overthinkin the draft for yrs now. oz and decoosta play around with 1, 2 and 3 round pics like they are 4th, 5th and 6th round pics. they take their chances early rather than late. it ain't rocket science oz. it football 4 cryin out loud.
its gotten so bad we are yrs past these two correctin their problems. its total rebuild now and we are in a position to do it if those two aren't tryin to save their skins and can admit to their bad years for us

folks think Antonio brown musclin over mosely and weddle cost us the playoffs. th e bangals had all their stars out and spanked us. was never close. we have a uge talant deficient with all the betta nfl teams. gonna take great moves to get us back. sittin on the 16th draft position is not one of t hem great moves.

hes got a cuple problems and doesn't know it. hes talkin cut and his figs are wrong due to being lost some on the trade angles.
we can definitely do this and may have to now sinc darnold may come out in 2018 and we need to be ready. this is not jus about tradin joe. if darnold waits til after his junoir yr to comeout, yah its easier, but it should be done now. eat t he dead money its the best way
theres givins. you know what I'm sayin? joe is not a top flight qb. he just aint and he is 32 yrs old. when ozz paid him they really thought he'd win with any ball catcher. clear as a bell now that is not the case. joe is a role player not a guy you build ya team around. and here are we payin him huge when the overall cap is small like hes that guy. it cant go on. ya can't build ur team around him but ya can rebuild off him. second our team has badly gone south on over all talant. we got almost nada. talk talk talk abound signin Brandon William. well we can't plain and simple. the free agent pierce more than fills the bill. these are the choices we must make to overcome signin joe and tradin him after those signins. the third signin is one that will hurt but a trade lessens the pain in a cuple ways. we must get more talant and better pics. the plan to trade joe and rebuild on those pics and our own lesser record and better draff position will get us back to where we need to be in a cuple years. much betta than playin out a bad hand of joe limit cards.
8-8
5-16
8-8
60td 46 int.
joe has clearly let us know where he at. t heres no confusion on that. we need talant and have a joe problem but we can salve both with a tite plan and bold moves.

not even close. there is no gain without pain. all those that would favor as is see is the pain. the coach is coachin for his life. the gm is workin on his retiremend, the owner is smokin his cigars and hopin on his flacco and they are all as happy as clam beds. they cant eat the dead money cuz eatin it is the pain and the pain would end their cozy numbness. the comfortable numb. they can accept mediogre, but they can't accept disruptin their cozy cuz they built that. but there is a sivler lining. and it is the gain that follows the pain. eat the dead money
matt elam. wow what a lightnin strike burnin down th e house. talk about being out of position. talk about him not bein able to tackle. talk talk talk talk talk. talk about him not being a footballplayer. where was all this talk when we draft'd this munchkin? everyones an expert now that he's a bust then a drug bust but where was everyone when he was drppin the ball at the combined? where were ya then? where was everyone when that one postar calls him cleats elam and clank the sound of the ball off his hand? where was you then? where was everyone when ozz called elam and asks him if hes ready to be the next ed reed? where was you then? who seen the flim of elam body tacklin mississpi A and M 2nd division players? and droppin hte balls thrown to him? but best question is if he was a skillless @ any position, where was ozz and decousta? whos droppin this ball anyways?

He was just a bad football player and there's not much more explanation needed, in my opinion. It had 0 to do with what role he was playing, and everything to do with a lack of ability.

No evidence to suggest he would all of the sudden be a better tackler at his "natural position", which is obviously debatable as to what position that actually is or if it even exists in the NFL.
Regardless, guys that can't tackle and can't cover at any level are highly unlikely to be good defensive football players, regardless of what role it is.

one more time rayrayraven is all about doin your job. a back has to do his job. you go to work you do your job. you go to the store the checker does her job. you pic first in the draft you betta do ur job. give rayrayraven 7 draff pics @ 16 on the clock and i'll draff ya some football players fur sur. wont need to stockpyle comp pics. sheez if a picker drafts well you can't keep 12 rook pics anyways. no need for a pichorda that can't pic!
doan think I can do it? tune into 2017 Draft board on t his site message group called Lets help ozzie

Get used to it and accept it hahahaha.
not sayin joe is worth 2 number 1s. dont believe he s worth two number 3's, but the 1s are what we can get for him. but its now or nevah. joe is jay cutler with a team superbowl. this card has to be played now. is there dead cap to eat yes. is it as bad as folks are layin out .NO. there is pain but dumpin halfthe team is not necessary. dumpin some players is and is part of the plan.most of those players are end of career. many are easy tosses. this is NOT about next year. It is about a rebirth of 2008 in 2019 or 2020. we are not a good team and will not be better without drastic change of direction includin thouse that put us in this position. as they said in nam we are in a world of hurt lets come out of it bettr than we went in

I dont he's a tool to use now. we can rebuild this team without him and it needs rebuilded without or with him. but we kill ourselvs if we wait one more yr. its now o r nevah. the future belongs to the seers
you need to revise those numbrs. to show what his new team pics up in comin yrs. its a good deal to trade him. we will take a hit but not what u yellowed. doan make me write the hole comprehesuv plan!!! just know it involvs 2 number 1's for joe and sam dranold.

Looking at it we can all safely assume that Flacco is going nowhere till at least 2020 regardless if he stinks to high heavens or plays like a super star period. All we can do is give him all the help possible - QB coach, Great coordinator, great O-line, great receivers, great running game, etc. and hope for the best! I think if we provide him all the help he can be a good QB in this league.

well I identify the rayvans with me. ray van is my name and football is my game. use to play it an know all bout it. but avoidin a fun and helpful contest based on a playrs name an fondness of linkin himself to his team by name is not very enlightened. (Spell chec'd that word!) it would be a helpful contest and I'm certain I will win vs ozzie newsom. quite certain. absolutly certain. no doubt bout it. garanteed. that sur thing, but who can defeet me in this contest? who has it better than me in draftin? nobody! garanteed but the real benefitt is to demo good selection ability to help our team next yr after it is proved
I will start next yr...2018...the yr ozz and staff start to llook to this board with sam darnold.
so who wil go the extra m ile to help our team. who wants to help the rayvan ravens? this yr it will be a fun game, next yr it wil get serreous.
I would like this topic to be about two things. it should be about a fun contest between rayvan fans to see who can make th e best draft pics. it works like this. you lay out your draft board with your top 100 players. they are posted here with the timestamp an u can edit them all the way up to the time ozzie makes the pic for that round. if your top guy is gone your pick goes down as the next guy available in your list. Even if the rayvans don't pick him, you get credit for the pick for your rayvan draft. Edit times are posted to so no past postin. then as your pic'd player makes a team, starts and performs you get the glory of pickin him and tis time next year we can see who pic'd best and so can Ozzie. we can have fun with our contest see who knows talent and if someone creams the draft even help ozzie if we can convince him to look here. top 100 only. that's all you get to work with and if the top guy on your list is available when the rayvans pic he's on your team. we can do this and it will be fun

I decided to look back at the last 5 yrs of first 3-4 rounds picks of the Baltimore Ravens to really find out how we actually did and I was shocked. Here's the list starting from 2010 onwards:
Short of very few players like Mosley, Jimmy Smith and B. Williams none of the others have overperformed or if they did, they're all gone. I don't find this magical by any stretch of the imagination. Both Ozzie and Eric DeCosta along with the scouting team are complicit in the remarkably bad drafts. Definitely doesn't lend credence to the hype surrounding Ozzie's magical drafts or am I reading it all wrong? Please tell me we are still amazing because when I look at last year's draft ( the best in at least the past 6 yrs) I find there may be hope. Do we need fresh thinking or is Ozzie and gang still up to the job?
