  1. its a good plan but I don't think they'll do it. theres only a few here that want to stay the course, unfortunenately stevie b is one of em. we have had bad dead cap for a ways now. draftin high for 2 years and getting juicy pics for joe would put us back on track. we can wade thru dead cap, done it before can do it again. we couldnot sign Williams, Jernigan and dummervil but that's fine. pitsburg has a heck of a oline now and their linebackers are bout best in the league. there you said it, t he rest was crazy stuf read what big letter little letter said above. the head to heads have little to do with which team has been buildin
  2. if someone was tryin to tell me our bean counters signed a deal and or renegotiatad a deal to put the rayvans in a no way out situaton I'd be callin for a riot. that would be the close to treeson and as bad a job as could evah be done. course that's not what yur sayin right first about pitsburgh our bean counters cant really believe we are as good as them. we were built to battle them and know em well and its almost always a close game regardin how different in talant the teams actualy are. we have a better kicker t han them but all ariound the most loyal rayvan fan cant serioussly say we compare with them. they have had our number for many years now in acquirin talant. about the plan part of it involves fieldin a less stocked team for a couple years so yah we can eat enormos dead cap and make it work. yah da lemon is sour but theres a lemonaid reward at the end. its either that or be mediogre for years to come. it is a comprehensuv plan
  3. kinda the speculation but if we had beaten pitsburg cinncy still would have creamed us. I rooted for joe but joey walnuts must go
  4. timin is everything and we can't wait another year. we can have 5 high slot number one draft picks in three years by tradin flacco this year. teams will give us two number ones for him. clevland a team does have to have two high quality qbs as newsom says but a team also needs a high quality draft man doin his job
  5. 4 number 1 picks in two years is the key. what years is the question. we trade flacco to clevland we can get two 1's . clevland may negotiate some with the overall number 1 this year. but the plan involves getting our own red rifle, sam darnold who is our qb of the future. darnold will declare in 2018 or 2019, so we need to be ready to take him and the dealing joe to clevland puts us in good position both years, part due to a poor team from flaccos enormous dead cap dont foresee being able to get 2 first round pics for joe after 2017 so this is the year its now or nevah the plan does not allow for mis or overdraftin. or tradin bac. its not a plan for those that cant do their job
  6. nuff sayd two number one picks in 2017, two number one picks in 2018 and then our others 2 thru 7 at high draft position. then in 2019 likely another high draft position for 7 rounds. cant be afraid of the boogeyman, unless happy with mediogre.
  7. this is the key concern. joe was effective as a developin qb, never a burner, just a steady playin qb. he got paid and believe it or not he is starting his 5th season on the mega deal. his numbers which aint everything are not good on the new contract. he will be 33 this time next year. in fact today is his birthday. I know a lot about joe and though it will be painful in many ways the timin is perfect to deal him. if we don't deal him and build these next two years we will have missed a great chance to turn the team around. but to understand strikin while the iron is hot an owner would have to understand the team is slidin and he don't understand that. he thinks we are on the verge of a superbowl. he thinks we've drafted like banasheez and he thinks we make good free agent decisions. stevie b is standing pat
  8. and if we are lucky n stevie b gets smart someone like joe flacco there to. there are still teams that will pay large for a former sb winner like joe. two number 1's from someone like the browns. good for both teams doan think it will happen though. we will play 2017 and after 2018 stevie b will act which will make getting back harder because draftin @ 16 in 2019 ain't draftin @ 1, 2 or 3 in 2017 and draftin 1,2 or 3 twice in 2018
  9. we don need to resing Williams or jernangan. there is money for the guys we need becuz we are looking ahead. we are gonna play mallet (or hopefully the practice squad guy) we are gonna lose for a couple years draft large and then we are gonna win huge becuz we will stock what we no longer have
  10. precisely yep it will be a two year hit at minimum. we wont be able to field a full cap roster that's what dead money is all about. stevie b are you listenin? but during the down years two maybe three I think two return to near form in 2019 with our qb of future, we stockpile picks to turn this franshise around. becuz anyone that thinks we are one draft from returnin to the suprbowl hasn't been payin atention, doesn't understand joe flacco, don't understand our current overdrafted roster and don't understand are tolilet bowl spiral down the plumbin that's what we call makin sweet lemonade from a very sour lemon. see my picture of the rayvan? hes hoisting a glass of lemonade but it comes from tradin flacco and using high draft picks to rebuild(actualy hes the sprecher root beer rayvan but hes my rayvan too)
  11. we would have finished with a better record with t.taylor fur sur. still don't want to trade for him. we can get some great draft position by tradin joe though. lemonade from a lemon. jonny many ravyan fans just aren't gonna let go of joe. hopefully our owner gets dollar wise. if we are gonna hit a dry spell and we have, its best to get something out of it. the way we are goin we gonna be stuck in the same place well into the next deccade
  12. when your given lemons you make lemonade. we make the cap hit work for us. trade joe, take the massive hit field less team lose some games draft like banasheez
  13. yah listen I've watched a lot of raven football. a hole lot. we keep watin on joe and waitin on joe and waiten on joe. but guess what? joe ain't nevah comin home again. joe done jumped the shark years back. you know what jumped the shark means right? if you don' t look it up. we signed him to the big bucks and it didn't work out. lots of other bad decicisions are lumped into it but joe aint the joe we thought we was getting. no one can argue against that wthout bein laughed at alot to fix this mess and its a big one we have to prepair for the future down the road. not next year. next year and the year after that are already gone with the wind. just like that ole lanard skinnard song Tuesdays gone. remember it? train roll on on down the line wont you please take me far away hear the wind blow outside my door means we're leavin our joe behind. (I added the joe part but we are leaving him behind) so here is what we must do. we can trade joe and we will sooner or later. its just what must be done and even those that don't wanna face it know it must be done. if it is done later joes value will continue to slid. no one can argue against that his season startin 2017 value is much less than his 2013 season starting trade value. so tradin him sooner increases his value to us and I very firm believe we can still get two number 1's for him and certainly a 1 and a 2. we can get that value for the same reason some hear want to keep joe hopin he'll come back to four games in 2012. it ain't happinin but theres folks out there on other teams that think that wa ytoo. wait another year or two and we'll be lucking to get a pair of 3's now the big business plan part and for this I hope stevie b tunes in because t hey say he's hear readin. we will eat large dead money and won't be able to field as high quallty a team. with our second string qb whether its mallet or someone else we may lose more games. must say I am not even certain of that but losin more games but we should still lose enough games to get a very high draft position for two years. couple our high number 1 draft picks for a couple years with the two top picks for joe and we will have the opportunity to transformate the ravens from middling mediocre to a still young team loaded with picks. armed with pics we will need new coaches. we will need the best I'm all about the draft pics and I think stevie b will be to
  14. not only do I believe it if stevie b will eat the dead money for a couple years we'll be right in the catbirds seat...stevie don't know football but he knows a good business deal stevie b is already callin joe out lets hope he sees the logic.trade joe, eat the dead money. get two number 1's for smokin joe, lose amess of games, draft high and pound the draft for the future. it is golden the usc qb is key I want draft picks for joe but a straight up trade for taylor wont provide the two year cushion of stockpiling high picks. taylor would prolly win more games than joe, what we need is those four high #1 draft picks in 2018 and 2019 to really build
  15. shhhhh don't jinx our trade. we can still get a 1 and 2 for him, texas, nyjets, buffalo perhaps, jags or broncos, skins or eagles?, vikes or bears! rams or niners. da nfl world is our oyster, we might even get two 1's, eat a little dead money and plan for the future. the plan needs to go into effect this offseason though. don't jinx it
  16. stevie b has a problem that has been developin and hes very tardy in fixin it. tardy aint the word, he still aint grappled with it. this wasn't a problem in 2008 or certainly not in 2009 but its been a problem for some time now and he's coastin. we want stevie to get his game on befor it gets further away
  17. morningweg was pass happy. we are standing pat. the lone playoff year in the slump was all kubiak. just no longer inclined to believe flacco is the guy. he'll be 33 january next year. hes closer to the end than the beginning. if you're stevie b you believe we are poised on a return to excellence and joe will lead us back. if you've watched our overall talent erosion one can't accept that. delay is our enemy now. we have a lot of needs now including our qb of the future. give joe a chance with another team that needs a qb now. it could work out for both teams
  18. I would wish that stevie b find a way to be proactive to his problems and not reactive. the best business plans in the world don't always work out and failing to act can be more damaging due to the delays in correction than attempting correction "prematurely" . (3 out of 4 seasons out), all of our problems now lay squarely at stevie b's feet. he is their author and he owns them. he has squarely set us on the "stay the course" program. it is his
  19. johnny its really difficult to understand how some fans really think joe is gonna put the team on his back and carry it. 2016 was his best year in yardage but his td to int rate was mediocre at best and he threw often. I'd like to trade joe this offseason for a one and a two, eat the losses and be in position to grab usc sam darnold if he declares. if darnold plays his junior season we need to be ready to draft him then. joe is a lifetime middling rank qb and his one playoff run is not enough to hope he can repeat that one hit wonder. boldin was our go to guy and has never been replaced, not even SSS was as pivotal. your point that flacco got even less out of him is noted and likely accurate. but flacco had just really developed a relationship with him. oz and company were not close to understanding that relationship and we continue to pay the price as they struggle to undersand joe and the draft in general
  20. I don't know his name, but the guy to replace flacco, especially in consideration of stevie b's clear 2 more years plan is a 2-14 record next year, the number one pick and the USC freshman that beat Penn state in the rose bowl. That man is our future.
  21. Williams gasses out late in games, its because hes too fat. he has to be fat cuz hes small for a NG. sorry but that is how it is. we better not pay to keep him. we got dozed by phil and the dozers the last four games. anyone that tried to run on us lit us up. including burkhead who we made a HOF er yah, point being we quit, weren't good enough, weren't in the game. Cincy played with nothing to play for either, perhaps cept their coach. cincy played missing a boodle of their stars. real stars. we played like the 2nd rate talent we are and our guys would not play for da coach. thought this game was important for pride. we played without any
  22. if I ever get in big big trouble or do something really really stupid, I definitely want you on my side
  23. im ok with one more year of missed playoffs but then they all got to go
  24. the team we saw is the team we are. we are a team whose kicker is clearly the best player. we lack superstars and playmakers. we have a few reliable downside of career former stars. we have some decent players but nothing to say 'we nailed that draft". we lack depth and we lack character and we lack motivators. harball aint a motivator his tee shirts are trite we also have an owner that is not really a football mind
  25. or puppety yes men
