You're right in that our biggest needs are at CB and pass rusher, but Ozzie subscribes to the BPA philosophy, so if Cook were available at pick 16, I do think it's something he might entertain. He's taken backs when we've had a crowded backfield before, albeit not in the 1st round, but guys like Cook and Fournette don't come around very often. Also, idk if any of the backs on the roster now are as explosive or as athletic as Cook are. Maybe I'm wrong but just my 2 cents

I don't think Cook is BPA at 16 honestly.

lol win. All it takes is film to want the guy, he's an absolute monster

He was literally a one man wrecking ball. It's one thing to be a guy like Jonathan Allen and be surrounded by an NFL caliber front 7 and have a great year, but it's another to be one of the only guys on your team that's consistently disruptive and still be great.

We lost Jernigan and Wagner and Juice

    We gained Jefferson and Carr

I know there hasnt been one season in ravens history where certain members can't see reality but i really don't see how we have improved this offseason.

Harbs in denial about his team in the draft press conference. He bullishly says ''We have playmakers'' and lists a bunch of mediocrity.

My comment was directed more so to Carr being Wright 2.0

Huh? He better learn the Canadian national anthem. Like flex said by year3 Terrance Cody could blanket him. He would be a shutdown cornerback covering Sir Dareus!! He may be able to get open against Tom Brady

You obviously have never watched him play. He would absolutely be better than JuJu if he was faster, he has some of the best hands I have seen. How about in the USC vs Colorado game this past year when he made Ahkello Witherspoon look like a rag doll on an underthrown pass. But yeah Tom Brady could cover him. Quit talking out of your ***.

We are having a discussion about your busts. How can anybody watch tape and say Rogers is better than JuJu? Do you like Chad Kelly? Would you change your icon and boardname if he takes ravens starting QB job and knocks joe Flacco to the bench? Or would you keep it

Rogers does look really freakin good.

It's a pity I'll never get that "I told you so" moment with Ross if he stays healthy with the boards closing. I'll miss those!

I don't think you told anyone anything they don't already know. Many on here, myself included, believe that Ross wouldn't be a good fit here, and that there are some concerns about him. But I haven't seen anyone say Ross doesn't have the potential to be an explosive playmaker in the NFL.

I seriously doubt we pick Mike Williams if it is BPA we're going after. You don't pass up on Jonathan Allen who is of the Haloti Ngata breed to pick Williams imho. If Johnathan Allen is there, we surely pick him over anybody else.

It won't matter as there is no chance Allen falls that far.

CBS just did a mock. They had one receiver going before the Ravens, Corey Davis, so the Ravens selected Mike Williams. Here's the link so you can see how they came that conclusion: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2017-nfl-mock-draft-run-on-pass-rushers-in-first-round-fournette-goes-in-top-five/

Looks fairly realistic, and Williams falls to us even with Jonathan Allen falling to 17. If all 3 running backs and at least 1 qb is taken before us we are going to get someone we really want at 16, and it's exciting to think about.

Loud minority I guess, lol. I just remembered the night club incident. This idiot litterally threatened to get his AK-47 and shoot the club up.

This guy doesn't belong in the PUBLIC, what makes people think he belongs on a football team?

Hahaha "he doesn't belong in public". The desire for him stems from him being Jim Kelly's nephew, as well as the kid also having obvious talent that can be had in such a late round. But you are right, he's nothing close to a stand up guy and unless he completely turns his life around there's no room for him in the NFL.

Young was amazing especially for an undersized rookie. But to be fair Ramsey is asked to do things that would never be asked of young. You will find Ramsey man up on Julio Jones,AJ Green and Beckham. That will never be asked of Young. And I'm very biased for undersized cornerbacks. Whether it be zone cornerbacks and especially shutdown man up cornerbacks. Butler is my favorite cornerback in the NFL. And I really like Tavon Young to. A very good player. If Young were even 5'10 190 he would be a pro bowler and maybe even borderline allpro

    Man that whole 1 inch.

  12. McCaffery is now apparently being slated as a top 10 pick. I think it's rather interesting how rapidly his stock is rising. I just don't really see it.

Peter Schrager on Twitter says "Here's one for Wednesday night. Heard from multiple front office execs over last few days. Feeling is now Christian McCaffery goes Top 10."

Funny, the one I thought about wasn't mentionned once. I will put Brent Urban as my Breakout guy. He was very precious everytime his number was called and now looks to get a huge boost in playing time with TJ and Guy leaving. His presence against the pass is the best in the DL until we see more of Kaufusi (and I still have high hopes for Henry btw).

Expectations: 6 sacks and 6 batted passes and nobody remembers Timmy Jernigan by the end of the season.

If he stays healthy, I think he could have a huge impact.

This isn't wrong in theory, I guess, but in pass rushing situations, you only "eat blocks" if you actually pose a threat as a pass rusher. Jernigan, contrary to popular belief, was doubled a lot in passing scenarios. Pierce, however, was not. Eating blocks does not happen in passing situations unless you require a double team.

As far as the pass rush goes, gap shooters are far more impactful than "block eaters." The "block eater" types are just fat guys that rarely sniff the QB. You can usually find them stood up by the center at the LOS as the QB is entering his fifth second without pressure. See: Cody, Terrence; Ngata, Haloti; Williams, Brandon..

TL;DR? Gap shooters get pressure. Block eaters don't. Pressure requires athleticism. If you don't get pressure, you won't get doubled, and if you aren't eating blocks, are you even actually a block eater?

The whole concept of sending fat guys out there for the sole purpose of clogging space is so damn outdated and obsolete.

So you are trying to say the Brandon Williams is just a "fat guy". That's kind of disrespectful.

I'm glad more people are coming on board. Injury history in college has come to mean nothing. Guys like Mosley who were habitually banged up in college come into the pros and have almost no durability issues and there are other who have ironman streaks in college like Stanley, but happen to have injuries occur. It's a gamble either way.

Ross is more of a total package than most will give him credit for. Him and Perriman only have speed in common and I think Ross is far more elusive and quick with solid hands.

It really depends on the type of injuries really. Like Lattimore's past hamstring injuries, which tend to linger, are more concerning then some other random injuries.

I'm getting really high on Akhello Witherspoon.

Both he and Awuzie could be darn good in the NFL... but Witherspoon's length, mirror/match ability.... man he just sticks on the hip and then swats at the last second.

I wont be surprised if he winds up being one of the best CB's in this draft.

If you are high on him at least spell his name right :P

Realistically, I would switch JuJu for Walker because I don't think he will escape the second. Other than that, I like the mock a lot. It's hard to gauge second to mid round guys projectios though, Elflein could very well go early second and Witherspoon could as well. But that would just push some other borderline top 50 player to us in the third so I'm cool with it.

Yeah I definitely agree that with all the talent in this draft its kind of hard to differentiate whether players will go between like mid second and late third/early fourth.
