Talk about instant coffee on offense.
If the Ravens weren't smart*
I just really, really want Barnett on the Ravens.

OK, im not trying to be cruel here, but is there any possible way you can try to make more sense. We are all here to talk football and regardless of opinions its fun to discuss, even when some people's opinion seem outlandish. That being said, i cant for the life of me interpret what the hell you are trying to say and while im glad you can make paragraphs have you ever thought about using spell check, it would make it easier for us to actually have a discussion.
Hahaha

CBS's Dane Bruger has us taking Cook in the first, and uses this as his explanation.
"The Ravens have a stable of average backs on the roster, which is one of the reasons they ranked near last in the NFL in rushing in 2016. Cook would help change that and open up the offense."
This honestly really pissed me off. If you are that ignorant please don't post a mock draft.
To make things worse, players still available included Corey Davis, Derek Barnett, and Sidney Jones.

Am I the only one that's kind of getting worried that Cleveland will soon be competitive with the rest of the division? With 2 first round picks this year, a ton of cap space, and already a decent roster, the fact that the Browns could soon be a semi competitive team has me worried. The AFC North is tough enough already. But hey maybe we can get lucky and the Bengals will collapse or something.

You stated Elam NEVER switched positions, I simply said he did. Never said that's why he didn't work.

i said nothing about that being the reason he did not work out.
i merely highlighted that he did had to switch and you even admit he had to.
nice try though
Exactly

Elam was forced to play FS actually, so yes he was.

Quite a bit, actually. You saying these things makes me think you didn't really watch him. He had his missed tackles, similar to his time with the Ravens, but he was well known for his big hits and great instincts inside the box. I don't know how you can say you know he wasn't gonna make it. He wasn't projected as a late 1st, early 2nd round pick for no reason? The Ravens used him wrong as he was forced into the FS spot instead of SS where everyone else knew he belonged. He was eventually switched back to SS but it hurt his development nonetheless. I'm not saying Elam ever played well for the Ravens by any means, as his numerous missed tackles were painful to watch, but he did have potential.

Funny looking back. He was all of those things in college but just lost it in the NFL. Still not sure why
He was never a sure tackler in college, actually. That was always one of his biggest problems, he'd be too busy going for the big hit instead of a sure tackle. Although I do believe he could have succeeded if the Ravens didn't handle the situation so poorly. He was made to be a SS and play in the box, but they put him at FS and we all know the rest.
Part of me was holding onto hope that maybe Elam could become what he was in college, and before that injury last year i kinda got my hopes up. Oh well.

I keep thinking the same thing. With Dixon on the team, I have pretty much zero interest in picking Cook with #16.

i still cant get behind the humphrey pick - but i also think that this is the lowest possible number of qbs going off the board before our pick which could shunt others back... i really hope 3qbs, both rbs and OJ go ahead of us because it would possibly drop someone like derek barnett to us which i'm slowly convincing myself could happen (when in reality he might go much higher)
If Barnett somehow falls to us we will be extremely lucky and I will be extremely happy. He is a beast.
