Has anyone seen Casserly's latest mock? Has the Ravens taking Corey Davis and the Browns end up with Myles Garrett, OJ Howard, and Mitchell Trubitsky. All three of those players the Browns get are the best at each respective position. I would love to see that type of draft haul for the Browns. Also I am a big Corey Davis fan so I would like to see him here.

So...you want to see a team in our division have a great draft. Am I missing something?

Just saw that too. Not sure how this works out. Think we'll probably just draft the best OL available and then line up the best five when the season starts. If the best is a LG, Alex is RT, and if the best is RT, Alex is LG.

Harbs also said Taliaferro and Boyle are options at fullback. I don't mean to brag but I have said in the past that Taliaferro could find a roster spot because of his capability as a fullback. He's a decent receiving back, and he's hefty. He can pass block, too. To me, he matches the description of a new age fullback. Not sure if he'll be a great blocker at fullback but he's got the size and strength to do it imo.

Boyle has gotten fullback snaps but I think he may be too slow and too tall to be a modern fullback. Good option though, and he fills multiple roles. Makes a lot of sense to use him as a fullback. Versatility could be what wins him the job.

I think Tali at FB is an interesting thought. I mean I think the talent is definitely there for him to make the roster either way, but he's a guy who's really been plagued with injuries so it's hard for us to rely on him as a FB.

  3. what would you guys think about picking up someone like Tabor in the 3rd? His stock is dropping a lot because of his slow 40 times but I still think he could be a good day 2 or 3 pick.

After taking Barnett all the other draft picks are blown up, due to the fact that you wouldn't have to draft Tim Williams.

Actually I wouldn't mind keeping it the same. Could you imagine having Judon, Barnett, AND Williams for the next several years at least? That would be amazing.

Derek Whoolery of National Mock Drafts has us taking:

    RD1: Forrest Lamp, G

    RD2: Tim Williams, OLB

    RD3: Taywan Taylor, WR

    RD3 Comp: Cameron Sutton, CB

    RD4: Jaylen Reeves-Maybin, LB

    RD5: Damien Mama, G

    RD6: Elijah Hood, RB

This is one of the more competent media mo me I've seen. I wouldn't mind this if we were to trade back and pick Lamp. Rounds 2 and 3 would be awesome, but I don't know if Reeves-Maybin is the best value in rd 4.

The only TE we have the slightest chance of taking would be Howard as a BPA, and that's also unlikely with all the TEs we have already. Njoku won't be BPA in the second and we'd be wasting such a high pick on such a crowded position with lots of potential.

He's like a top 25 talent in this draft...he would definitely be BPA in the 2nd.

Teams will have hard time passing the extreme athleticism and his versatility.

I see literally every team between 10 and 15 (inclusive) having a long look at him if he doesn't go even earlier (Chargers, maybe even Titans)

There is no way he is picked before Adams or Hooker, so I highly doubt he will even be on the radar for the Chargers or Titans. He's just not that great of a football player to justify being a top 10 pick. He's good at a lot of things, but no team can justify picking him as a safety in the top 10. Supreme athleticism doesn't exactly translate into being an NFL star. Now maybe he gets picked right before we are up, but in no way, shape, or form should Jabrill Peppers be seen as a top 15 lock.

that list is way too long...

    my list would be:

    1) Myles Garrett
    2) Jamal Adams
    3) Malik Hooker
    4) Jonathan Allen
    5) Marshon Lattimore
    6) Leonard Fournette
    7) Reuben Foster

I could feasibly see any of the others you listed making it to us one way or another either because of media mocks being all over the place, off-field issues, potential combine superstars superceding them on boards etc. etc. If I'm honest I could even see Foster falling if teams really hate the combine incident

I agree, this list is more feasible.

So what are you saying?? If you are wrong enough somebody will offer you a job as an NFL gm? Lmao I don't care to be right or wrong. Scouting players doesn't pay me dude. You are not a paid scout yourself. I care about my job that pays me. Being good at that.  But some people on here act offended when somebody is not agreeing with them with particular players. To many unemployed football scouts in America. I only take a peak at the team ravens will be fronting.

As for Mayock of course he is wrong sometimes. He is scouting every player. Ranking every player. But when he really likes somebody. He is usually correct. You argue every year for players like Correa, Upshaw Elam and Cody as the list continues to grow.

I don't like Barnett. Maybe round 3. I'm not typing 5 pages explaining to you why. But I do have specifics.

I mean I can understand if you dont like him, but come on man, "maybe round 3" ???. That makes me question whether you have ever even seen him play.

I realise anything can happen on draft day but I wanted to put together a list of 10 players we will not / should not have a shot at with 16th pick. Any mock with one of these guys going to the Ravens I therefore find unrealistic, no matter what the rationale is.

    1. Myles Garrett
    2. Mike Williams
    3. Reuben Foster
    4. Jonathan Allen
    5. Derek Barnett
    6. Marshon Lattimore
    7. Jamal Adams
    8. Solomon Thomas
    9. OJ Howard
    10. Jabrill Peppers

Who would you add to or remove from this list?

I think Peppers is sort of an outlier here. Who do you think takes him before we are on the clock?

Don't like the lack of WR early, at this rate we'll be going into the season with the a bottom 5 WR core. I think we go with Williams, Davis, or Ross in the 1st.

There are plenty of quality WR to be had in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. If Williams isn't there at 16 I see no reason to go WR in the 1st.

I'm not a Barnett Fan like many people here. Will not get into specifics at this time. But NFL tackles are different. Better hand usage, endurance, technique, stronger and coached up.

Okay....so you don't think Barnett will translate into a good NFL player because the tackles in the NFL are better..? Does this not effect any of the other pass rushers?

  13. This draft is so stacked with talent is was really hard deciding who goes where, I probably left guys out that will undoubtedly go in the 1st, but oh well. Here is my shot at it.

    1.      Cleveland – Myles Garrett – I’m not as high on him as most, but to each his own.

    2.      San Francisco – Jamal Adams

    3.      Chicago – Solomon Thomas

    4.      Jacksonville – Jonathan Allen

    5.      Tennessee – Malik Hooker

    6.      New York – Deshaun Watson

    7.      LA – Marshon Lattimore  - His past injuries scare me, and honestly think there is a pretty good chance he is a bust because of it, which would be a shame, because this kid is amazing.

    8.      Carolina – Mike Williams – Many have Fournette mocked here, and so did I for a while, but I think they go a different route and get another wide out to lineup opposite KB.

    9.      Cincinnati – Haason Reddick – I think his combine and his versatility shot him up the draft boards, however Derek Barnett also seems like a likely option.

    10.   Bills – Corey Davis– Not a huge Corey Davis fan, but the Bills desperately need another WR. Trading back from here could be a possibility though.

    11.    Saints – Reuben Foster

    12.   Browns – Leonard Fournette – No way the Browns could pass on Fournette here. He would take much needed pressure off of the QB, who I think they will take in the 2nd, although Kessler should be the starter this season.

    13.   Cardinals – O.J. Howard – Could’ve gone QB here, but Howard could be a generational talent.

    14.   Eagles – Christian Mccaffery

    15.   Colts – Cam Robinson

    16.   Ravens – Derek Barnett – This might be a little bias, as Barnett is my favorite prospect for us. But I really think this is a scenario that could make him fall to us. Reddick’s combine could push him ahead of Barnett. I think we might go Reddick, Taco, or TWill if Barnett is gone, although I would prefer a trade back.  Image result for derek barnett

    17.   Redskins – Dalvin Cook

    18.   Titans – John Ross

    19.   Buccaneers – Takk Mckinley

    20.   Broncos – Ryan Ramcyzk

    21.   Lions – Taco Charlton

    22.   Dolphins – Marlon Humphrey

    23.   Giants – David Njoku

    24.   Raiders – Jarrad Davis

    25.   Texans – Mitch Trubisky

    26.    Seahawks – Jabrill Peppers

    27.   Chiefs – Tim Williams

    28.   Cowboys – Budda Baker

    29.   Packers – Garret Bolles

    30.   Steelers – Charles Harris

    31.   Falcons – Gareon Conley

    32.   Saints – Tre White

2nd round –  Zay Jones, WR

    Image result for zay jones

Big body, strong hands, extremely productive. I think he would be a great fit here.

3rd round – Cam Sutton, CB

    Image result for cam sutton

Sutton has 1st round potential, but is overshadowed by the ridiculous CB class. I think he will end up being one of the steals of the draft.

3rd round comp - Taylor Moton, OL

    4th round – Kyle Fuller, C

5th – Lorenzo Jerome, FS – One of my favorite prospects, I think he could be a great replacement when Weddle leaves

Don’t feel like taking a shot in the dark for our 6th round pick.

  14. The PI rule should absolutely stay the same. There is no reason to make it a 15 yard penalty instead of calling it at the spot of the foul. That's penalizing the offense for no reason. Also, if you really think we can rely on the refs to determine whether the contact was accidental or not, I honestly don't know what to say to you. Id say their job is hard enough as it is.

All I'm saying is we need playmakers, not stockpiling hopeful edge rushers who we hope they can morf into a Suggs. Won't happen

Suggs has been one of the best at his position for the past decade, I'm not sure if they expect any of the guys to be on his level. But we do need a replacement, and if that means stockpiling until we find one then so be it.
