  1. Who are you referring to
  2. Chiefs will likely consider trading Maclin. Chiefs have a lot of young receivers with skill it found in mid rounds.including running back/receiver hybrids. Maclin is only 28 which would make him the youngest vet we ever picked up. He is as fast as Wallace but is a far better route runner on intermediate level. And can break routes off and get that fast separation and turn for yards in a blink.
  3. Have to say it makes sense. Ravens rarely have a young WR that separates himself from the pack.
  4. Time as in .03 seconds!! Correa is one pick I can't talk myself into liking. There were all so much better options. I liked Thomas, Ngakoue and Spence at that pick. As well as Boyd Jones and Cravens.
  5. Your going to be pounding the table for guy already drafted.
  6. Eric Decker always faster than credited for. Better separation and contested catches than credited for sure. Shannon Sharp several yrs ago showed him inside the red zone creating separation at an elite level exploding out of breaks and making tough catches. Amari Cooper is more of a precision intermediate receiver than his rep implies. Davis shows breakaway speed on many occasions. It may be the mac but cornerbacks are running 4.5 range at least. And yet he pulls away. The bar is being raised for WRs to compete. There are several cornerbacks safety's in this class that 10 yrs ago would be WR's. But NFL calls for defensive backs that can compete. The linebackers are faster and better equipped to guard TE's and running backs. Leaving the defensive backs to take out WR's. If our offense was struggling before. It is not getting any easier for the offense. Not to mention the edge rushers coming into the league. Would be cool for ravens to pick up one of an offensive lineman/WR as camp cut/trade. Then have a really good draft. Hit on a standout offensive lineman and WR/TE. Chiefs have a lot of young skill at WR. Maclin could be cut/traded. Only 28 and productive could increase with stronger armed better QB like Joe
  7. Say what?? Davis can win on multiple platforms that include every level. He runs sudden routes for early separation if needed. He can separate intermediate level and make a play on the ball if needed. And he has shown breakaway speed after the catch. He has speed to get deep and make plays on the ball if necessary. At 6'3 1/2 216lbs he runs sharp sudden routes like a 6'0 195lb receiver. He is similar to Amari Cooper in precision. And can be a contested ball winner if necessary. He hasn't the amount of contested catches of mike Williams because he doesn't need to very often. He gets separation with suddenness and precision. He looked like a college boy playing with Highschool kids. He should be the No.2 catcher off the board behind Howard. We better find a legit young receiver/TE. Wallace is 31 and not known for precision to extend his production into his 30's. And last couple drafts has sent bigger faster corn. erbacks and cover safety's. And this could be the best draft ever for the cornerback position. Multiple Top end No.2 and even NO.1 cornerbacks are going to come out of round3 and round4 in this draft. So the bar is being raised for receivers and TE's. Not to mention the NFL is moving toward smaller coverage linebackers and even big safety's being converted to linebackers that can cover Zones that receivers normally don't have to account for. I took some heat for throwing out the idea of trading our round1 pick for a tackle/guard I believe will be a top5 offensive lineman in the league. The most effective way to counter the better coverage is a dominating offensive line. Allowing the receivers backs and TE's to uncover. To spring the run game and make defenses respect it. Which will help the players doing the catching to have space to get open. I'm not saying we should trade that pick for an offensive lineman because of this being a weak draft for that position. But I do think it is important to place priority on the offensive line. And not only serviceable offensive lineman, but dominant offensive lineman that will allow run game,WR's TE's and receiving backs to do their best stuff.
  8. Hey ravens nation. Time for an updated mock Lets get to it shall we Round1. Trading the No.16 pick to the cowboys for Le'el Collins and their round3 pick. I know it is an unorthodox move. But consider this. It is a very weak offensive line class. Nobody checks all the boxes. Cam plays with power but his athleticism is not left tackle quality. There are questions about Right Tackle. Lamp is a good player but not the mauler Collins is. Ramczyk is a good all around Tackle but not impressive in any category. In most drafts he is a round2-3 pick but draft is weak on lineman. Collins can play anywhere on the line at a high level. If he were in this draft he would be the No.1 Offensive lineman off the board. Not even close. He routinely blocks multiple defensive lineman and linebackers. And pancakes them. He is very fluid for a big 6'4 320lbs. Very natural blocker with technique and feel for the position. He not only handled sec edge rushers. He made it look easy and embarrassed them. If you have all22 it is clear he stands out more than anybody on the talented Dallas line. Not even close. He moves well enough to pancake Bobby Wagner and Earl Thomas on the same play. He is eventually going to be recognized as one of the best offensive lineman in the NFL! He is fluid, explosive, powerful and nasty. If not for his injury last year he probably would already be an all pro lineman. Round2 Carl Lawson. If he falls to this spot Tim Williams but he likely won't be available. Round3 JuJu Smith Schuster Round3 Cameron Sutton/Corn Elder/best cornerback available Round3 Jordan Morgan Round4DJ Jones. One of the most underrated players in this draft. At 6'0 320lbs he has very unusual explosion, flexibility and balance. He can play NT and penetrator. Bigger version of Grady Jarrett. Round5 Chad Kelly. Why not take a chance on him. He has the best arm talent in the draft. He makes some throws with the confidence most QBs have on routine shorter throws. many NFL QBs would not attempt much less QBs in this draft class. Mayock Jerimiah and Davis are highly anticipating this dudes proday he postponed for a reason. Analysts and scouts really want to see this dude throw. He has a lot of coaching up and taming to do as many college QBs do. He is a wild stallion gunslinger with elite arm skill. He has several years to learn behind Joe Flacco i know most fans will not give props to a player it thinks will never be a raven. Perriman is a shining example. Nobody liked him as a round1 pick before the draft. Now those same fans get mad when somebody says he was a reach and probably not a No. 1WR. And those people know who you are but will never acknowledge it. But show me a better draft day scenario.
  9. You said it well. Not likely to be traded for. But Collins is my pick to be recognized as a top 5 offensive lineman in the NFL and maybe even best overall. As for Garrett I wouldn't trade 3 round1 picks. But some team may trade their draft. You don't get players that caliber in free agency.until 10 yrs in the league and no longer that caliber athlete. Not sure I would trade every pick of draft for Garrett??
  10. I actually wanted CJ Mosley at that pick. I like 3 down Linebackers that can hit a runner on one play then cover a Zone 20 yards on the next like an extra safety. That skillset is very undervalued. It is as valuable as a good edge rusher. As much as I favor an elite offensive line. Ravens should pick Foster if he is available at pick 16.
  11. I know it's not likely to happen but negs is not changing my mind. Now if there was honesty and credibility on this board I may reconsider. But fans who negged the idea of Upshaw and Elam a bust. One of several bad crazy biased thoughts on this forum. Need I go further and say some different things that were almost unanimous this board yet wrong? I like the idea of building up the offensive line. However I'm not sure there is a player that fits pick16. Lamp is the best lineman. However I don't think he could play Tackle at an all pro level in the NFL. He could be an all pro center. But he isn't the caliber that Collins is. I like Lamp a lot. But he isn't pancaking NFL players very often. Much less 2 all pro defensive players on the same play. He isn't pancaking many NFL lineman on his way to taking out a linebacker on the same play like Collins with regularity. Nor is any offensive lineman Available at pick 16 we can get in this particular draft
  12. Barnett will be there at 16
  13. Barnett is one player I don't want. Suggs was a surprise to only run 4.8. He played far faster than that. Everybody is expecting Barnett to run in the 4.8-4.9 range. I would prefer Corey Davis to Mike Williams.
  14. Know it probably wouldn't happen. But he is my pick to become the best offensive lineman in the league and would like to have him. All I'm saying if we were to trade our NO. 1 for Collins and thrift NO.2 or 3 that his play would definitely justify the move.
  15. And better than Scherf?? Lmao like I said if negs meant squat Upshaw would be an all pro. Round1 picks are traded for Great players says professionals that get paid to do it. Scherf is a total bust at tackle and you would take him before Collins?? Seriously?? If Collins isn't all pro caliber I'm wrong. If he is you will regroup your argument.
  16. So YOU say it is stupid?? Prifrssionals paid to do it say different. So the cowboys played Collins at a position of need at the time. And your conclusion is cowboys aren't fans of his skillset to play RT?? Don't think it was anything to do with Free was playing that position at a comfortable level? And Guard was the need at time? The weakest link on the best line in the league is better than most. You would seriously take Scherf over Collins?? Talk about stupid ideas? Many "Professional" analysts put him at the top of their offensive line board by draft day. Mayock and Jerimiah to name a couple. Their explanation was knew he was a nasty mauler but he is a far better athlete than once thought. And it was a year like 6 offensive lineman went in round 1. Scherf was humiliated by Ngakoue. Go look at all the great sec edge rushers that said Collins was the toughest blocker ever faced on any level. Are you going to be on RSR next year? When Collins is playing lights out it is going to be interesting what you have to say.
  17. I agree. And add an ilb that can play the run physical and run and cover like Foster Zack Brown and Reddick and defense will control the intermediate range.
  18. I'm not angry about trade unless Jerney gets double digit sacks. When defense has to keep him from QB isn't that keeping linebackers clean? If he doesn't play any better then he looks bad.
  19. Leary signed with Broncos. Collins is probably playing RT. Leary while a really good guard is limited to playing guard. I like the idea of elite guards. But I would actually prefer elite Guards and an elite RT that could excel at Left tackle if needed there. lol the goal is to blow the opponents off the line on every snap and control the line so Joe comfortablly looks over his receivers sets and throws. His receivers have time to work any route strategy. And the runner has holes to work through. We control the line, the clock and the game. 😉 Methodically sustain drives. Best way to beat Tom Brady is keep out of game.
  20. I would prefer an elite guard/RT to chandler Jones. Collins will eventually play RT in Dallas and get recognized as one of the best lineman in the game. Edge rushers are great to have. But I'm going to prioritize the offensive line without question. Collins dominated all the elite sec edge rushers. He was Mayock's top offensive lineman in a draft where 6 I believe went in round1. Your Ron Leary idea isn't bad. We should of signed him. He has a powerful anchor. Ask jj watt. He isn't as mobile as Collins and can't play tackle like Collins. and isn't quite the drive blocker because he can't run his feet quite like Collins. But he gets to next level well enough and his anchor is as good as it gets. If we would of signed Leary the question is could Lewis play RT? Harbaugh is very adamant about the guard thing but I think he could play RT very well if given opportunity. If we could have signed Leary then Lewis would have to play Tackle. Unless we drafted Cam or Lamp to play Tackle. Harbaugh said Lewis at center was an option. But I think Lamp would be better for Center. Any of those scenarios would of put our offensive line complete and dominant to add Leary then Draft One of Lamp/Cam. Lewis I do think is going to be good
  21. The dude that traded a round1 for Trent should of been taken to a crazy house. lol. This runner that is taken down easy, is not elusive and runs scared. Trade for him and turn him loose behind your mud pile of an offensive line and think he is breaking out? Who made him a GM? He signed a well over his prime running back and WR as well.
  22. I agree with most of this except great players with rare skills shatters the rules of cheap players. If Lael Collins isn't recognized as the best lineman in the league next year I have no problem acknowledging this is a bad idea. I'm usually the one saying trade a round1 pick for multiple round2 and 3 picks. And trading players over 30 for draft picks. But once in a while a players potential curbstomps that strategy. I wanted to trade Dumevil for a round 3 after our 1-4 record. But I think this happens to be a rare opportunity to get a rare talent along the offensive line. Somebody said you don't forget different positions for the offensive line. Position'(s) how many are we addressing with one pick? What if we were to take Lamp and he is a bust? And Collins is recognized as the best offensive lineman in the game. So it's a game of leverage and your takeaway is height is a bad thing? Comparing Lael Collins to Harewood based on height? Show me one clip of a harewood pancake. Osemele is nearly 6'6 and is the best guard in the league. Lewis is 6'6 and Harbaugh believes he is a future pro bowler.
  23. I agree with most of this except great players with rare skills shatters the rules of cheap players. I don't disagree it's on the unorthodox side. But it's my personal evaluation of.
  24. Seriously?? He was one of my favorite players in college. And through the process
  25. I'm having fun watching all the peeps that don't realize he is going to be the best lineman in the game. Not often a 6'5 320lb mauler moves that fast and fluid. He routinely pancakes 2 players on one play. Some on here say Dallas wouldn't part with him. You think he is expendable for a round3 pick. Lmao
