  1. If all those players signed last year then that is the current market. Not saying. We should have given him $11.5million or even $10million. But that is the market for an elite Guard. Especially when proven to be able to play left tackle at a high level if needed. It will be interesting to see what kevin Zeitler gets next week.
  2. Of course I would allow Wagner to walk to sign Zeitler for the same money. Wagner is a little above average and struggles at times. I like Mangold but we don't know if he will bounce back or if he actually declined. I think Lewis can handle RT as well as Wagner. He is similar to Mitchell Schwartz. Maybe a touch more athletic. He has a superior understanding of angles and blocking giving hanging up his opponent. Lewis was unfairly grilled by scouts for his fight. After some experience I think Lewis is as good maybe better than Wagner. 7.5 is very disrespectful next to $10million. It is paying somebody 75% of what he is worth. Contracts are not guaranteed in football. Players only hit free agency in their prime once. Then we don't know how much was guaranteed. Teams throw big numbers out there but those total numbers are rarely reached.
  3. What was the offer to Osemele? Anybody know Wagner's offer? If Osemele was offered $7.5million per year I could see that as disrespectful. Logan Mankins got about $10million a year. As did Carl Nicks. Take into consideration salaries escalate. At least $2 million per year less than Logan Mankins got 5 years ago could be taken as a lowball. Especially when he may have been retained as our left tackle. That and I think Osemele was comparing himself to Lane Johnson. An unusually long non LT who is projected to be a really good one when he eventually takes the position. It will be interesting to see what Zeitler gets. His contract will give some indication if anything less than $10million per year is a lowball for an all pro guard. Or if Osemele's perceived low ball offer is based on left tackle/Lane Johnson money. Maybe $10million and over is the new standard for a pro bowl guard. Nonetheless letting Osemele walk turned out to be a good thing. The best tackles in the last 10 drafts were coming out. And ravens got one of them. Speaking of Zeitler if we can get him for about $8million per year that is in upgrade of our line. Osemele is longer than Zeitler but Zeitler is a more aware player of stunts and blitzes along the interior. He is very good for zone or power schemes. And could probably play center if necessary. So with Stanley and Tunsil coming out there was no need to pay Osemele. And I wouldn't discount landing Zeitler. Harbaugh said upgrading the line is priority. Stanley and Zeitler makes for a hell of a left side of the line. Lewis can play RT or RG. Which means if ravens draft a good RT or RG we successfully upgraded the offensive line without breaking the bank for Osemele. Nor overpay for a solid but not elite RT. If Lewis can play RT the offensive line could be really awesome if we draft Feeney or Robinson to play RG. Ravens will have built a great line even after Yanda retires without paying Osemele over $10million or overpay Wagner. I think Yanda can play center if need be. He is a savvy vet. And Center calls for more cerebral capacity and less physical as Yanda gets older.
  4. At Charles' age and recent injuries. I would prefer Ken Dixon get that opportunity. Younger stronger and probably more explosive than Charles at this juncture of his career. Dixon needs to be given oppurtunities.
  5. DJ Jones. Strong ,well balanced, flexible fast interior penetrator that is big and strong enough to play NT if needed. At NFL level he will need to pick a position to be most successful. NT or playmaker. He is a touch heavy for penetrating playmaker at 6'1 322. So he may want to get closer to 300 for that role. But we may need him at NT if we lose Williams. In that case he will be a very athletic and explosive NT. An absolute steal in round 4 if he is available.
  6. I have an RV. Scrap the school bus idea. By time you do work and put money into it to live in you can find an older but modernized RV for not much more. Search over a broad area and give it time for a deal to surface. Be willing to drive several hours for the right deal. If you have to drive 500 miles or so then so be it. You can get loans on them like a house or car. What kind of cars have you built over the years?
  7. Which player would you like to see fall that has a realistic shot of falling to No. 16. As in odds are he doesn't fall to 16 but could?
  8. Forgive me for this. I would favor a DT if there was one deserving of being selected #16 overall. However it would have to be one that puts heat on the QB. Not a space eating NT unless he is a double digit sack artist as well. Pressure up the middle is so underrated. Probably because there are very little sack artists at DT. Not the variety that gets as many sacks as edge rushers usually do
  9. Cap space
  10. Hopefully a player we were going to cut anyways. Maybe it was minor.
  11. Actually you can get deals like Edelman and Sanders. Those guys were deals because teams took leaps of faith and trusted their system and the players skills and potential. Edelman was coming off 100 catches but barely 1000 yards and was thought to be a short limited slot who was a product of Brady. Sanders oddly never connected with Ben. And never got proper opportunity. His contract with the broncos was quite generous for a receiver that never really produced. Even when he was given a franchise QB and an elite WR to take coverage off him. He never really produced. But Elway trusted the scouting of his skills. And trusted his system to coach and integrate him into the system successfully. To be a far more productive player than he ever shown. This is a platinum example of how the ravens should treat Free Agency. Ravens should trust our system because it is one of the best. We have a very disciplined system with a head coach that demands excellence. And very bright and capable position coaches that coaches players up . And commands hard work and discipline from the young players.
  12. Bosa is 6'5 And Charlton is 6'6. Bosa was supposed to have below average bend because he didn't show it(much). But he actually has slightly above average bend when he actually needs it. We are confident Charlton can drop into coverage at 280lbs. That's freakish. Speaking of Takk I like him. I don't remember where but he bent very well on numerous occasions. He recovered very well on numerous occasions and broke free when a mammoth OT got his hands on him and tried to ride him out of the play. He showed impressive flexibility to break free and finish the play. It is early in draft season. Takes time sometimes to get to the right games to find what you are looking for. Takk isn't my favorite at 16 but I would like the pick.
  13. Be careful when judging stiffness. When you see a guy not bending much doesn't mean he can't do it. Joey Bosa was supposed to be a bust because of stiffness. Sometimes a player (like Bosa) subtly shows flexibility and desired traits. As for Plays that Charlton shows it I have to watch it again. Chandler Jones only flashed it himself at Syracuse. It took a while to see it and for his stock to heat up. Watch Charltons Ohio St. and orange bowl game it will eventually show up.
  14. Ohio State game and orange bowl. I'll be first to say he has to clean some things up in his game. But the upside is speechless. He bends and flattens like a much smaller LB when he isn't sloppy. Big time closing burst and even his ordinary tackles leave ball carrier hurting. He looks like a bigger stronger More explosive Chandler Jones.
  15. Maybe he is better in the locker room now. But he is still an opinionated locker room lawyer even if he is not quite as much trouble. Harbaugh doesn't like opinionated locker room guys from everything I read. At his age we would not be getting the Brandon Marshall you know of. I would prefer Jeremy Maclin if he the chiefs cut him. He would be a seam stretcher that can run routes to. Ravens never gave one of those to Joe. He could really help Joe fulfill his potential.
  16. I hope not. He was so talented yet nobody kept him with his psychological problems. Now he is 33 and hasn't matured yet. Which says his problems are not young guy maturity issues but a genuine personality problem. I could deal with him when he was 28-30 and one of the best but at 33 and same issues no thanks. I would prefer Robert Woods or even Michael Floyd. At least his was a DWI that he can get over once he serves time.
  17. I to would like Zeitler. I think Lewis can handle RT. I don't think we can afford Signing Wagner and Zeitler. Lewis is fairly athletic and technically sound. Very similar to Mitchell Schwartz. I don't think we can but if ravens could sign Wagner and Zeitler it would set our offensive line. Ravens line would be top3. With Yanda, Stanley and Zeitler one of the best at their positions respectively. Stanley should be one of the better LT's in the NFL.
  18. If he is good enough at everything there will not be a need for creativity. He will make plays. The question is can he carry the ball 250 times a year? We all know he will be a very good receiver out of the backfield. But is he a good and durable enough Runner to be a real dual threat. I think we have that in Dixon. He is a tough runner and we have not received his immense rewards in the reviving game yet. We have not yet peaked at all his cards. He is tough elusive and competitive. Dixon is working to get faster. He was a little surprised and embarrassed at his 4.58 40(although very good for a RB). He insisted he is a sub 4.5 runner. And wants to play up to it.
  19. I read that he carried round 7 tender. I wouldn't give up an early round pick for him. I would say a round4 pick and beyond would be a bargain for his skills and potential. Maybe even a round 3. I think this guy is waiting to erupt. Not many interior penetrators can make Aaron Donald look slow. When I flicked on the rams game I thought I was watching Aaron Donald. He jumped into the backfield off the snap in a blink every play. I was surprised to see it wasn't Donald. I don't think he will carry a huge price tag with his injury history and quarrel with Bellichick in New England. But his acl is back to full strength. His quarrel with the patriot organization was his own Dr. and rehab Doctor and trainer gave him different protocol from the teams. His rehab doc told him the teams doctor and trainers were wrong. And if he wanted to be 100% and great to not listen to them. Of course that caused problems with Bill. I read it on patriots pulpit when googling why he was released after I saw how disruptive he is. From what I saw he probably did the right thing. Because he looked great. He is very explosive and disruptive. He was pff's #1 ranked interior rusher on a per snap basis on productivity. With more snaps on a more disciplined ravens defense he could be one of the greats in the game. Like I said he looked more explosive and disruptive than Aaron Donald playing next to him. To get a player of Aaron Donald's caliber much less better at what he will cost at this juncture would be a steal. I would sign him to a 2 year deal at about $8/9 million. It would be unpleasant if we signed him to a one year deal and he is named all pro and hit free agency on us.
  20. I like Moreau better than Humphrey. Ravens could go that direction at 16 but I hope not. I wish you would of thought more positive about that.lol I really like Reddick and Moton. Excellent Awesome picks if those guys are there. I do like Rogers but not as much as JuJu as of yet like you and the goofy genius do. JuJu is one of my favorite players in college. But Rogers is a steal in round 5. Reddick would be an incredible steal in round 2. He would actually be an upgrade if we use him at ilb. Moton is a move you off the ball guard with enough functional athleticism to excel at guard and play RT if needed. I like the Jones pick. Solid NFL player there. I don't care much for Carl Davis nor Henry. HOWEVER.... Ogunjobi is my pick for steal of the draft!!! One of my favorite players in this draft. I like him better than Rankins. He plays with Grady Jarrett bend and balance but a little more explosive and long speed than Grady. Kinda like a Geno Atkins but not quite as powerful as Geno. Slightly better balance than Geno however. Wouldn't surprise me if he is a better player than Jonathan Allen. I know that sounds nuts.
  21. Correct. It was a round7 tender before. If he is tendered again that would be a very small price for such a impact potential breakout player. On a per snap basis he was #1 of all interior lineman for rush productivity with a load of pressures. If ravens got him conditioned for larger number of snaps as a primary tackle in our system; Then he could be one of best defensive players in the league. His run game production was very good as well. Putting him in a mix with Mosley, Judon,Jernigan and a couple new Young impact players on defensive side of the ball. The defense could dominate again. Add in a Taco Charlton and Hassan Reddick or a Tim Williams and Cunningham. Actually any combination of those rookies with Easley added to the mix would make ravens defense destructive again.
  22. At this juncture I think you guys are crazy. I really like JuJu. He plays physical on contested catches and separates better than given credit for. Good runner after the catch. He is far better than Treadwell could ever dream. My opinion could change but I really like juju
  23. With all the WR talk I'm throwing out a couple players that could be difference makers from the trenches. Kevin Zeitler is one of the better guards in the game. Harbaugh and Biscotti want an elite offensive line that moves opposition off the ball while having mobility to zone block. Zeitler gets the offense moving in that direction. With Stanley, Yanda and Zeitler the ravens are in the conversation of the best lines in the game. Throw in Lewis taking a step forward as an above average guard or RT. And ravens drafting an above average starter like Lamp,Robinson,Dawkins,Feeney and Moton that pans out in first 2/3 rounds and ravens are in business. Joe Flacco played his best football in 2012 playoffs and 2014 season when his line played like one of the best. He was a pro bowler in 2014 and the best QB in the game through the 2012 playoffs. Joe has the laser arm/accuracy like the top5 QBs in the game like Brady, Rogers, Luck and Bree's. He doesn't scan the WR's as quick triggered as those guys and struggles when rushed. But when allowed to comfortably process the plays he is as good or better than the names mentioned. I apologize if that angers anybody. I know there are fans that would like to see what a new talent can do for us. But I think Joe is the prolific guy fans are wanting if protected. And if he is protected he will give it to those fans that want a high octane offense. And he only needs good competent WR's to get it done. My opinion. The second signing is a player with immense skill that will not cost a lot. Dominique Easley was derailed by injuries and squabble's with Belichick. As did our Adalius Thomas. He is a little mature now and injuries no longer effecting his play. He has his complete athleticism and explosion back. He is so explosive he makes Aaron Donald look like a plodder. Like Donald He is stronger than he looks to at 6'1 285lbs. He will not break the bank and somebody is going to get an all pro caliber steal with him. He is as big a breakout candidate there is. Easley playing to his potential could be that dominant defender of ravens tradition the team needs and fans want to see. Throw in a dominant draft pick or 2 like Taco Charlton/Hassan Reddick or Tim Williams/Baker with Easley on defense. And ravens in a blink could be back to a dominant defense that intimidates the league like before.
  24. Charlton is going to end up being a top10 pick. Especially if he runs and tests well at the combine. He is a freak with magnet like burst when closing in on the ball carrier. Think somewhere between a young Julius Peppers and a stronger more explosive version of Chandler Jones. Closer to Julius Peppers. He can play the line and stand up and drop into coverage. He is a rare freak athlete
  25. Dude, I said a million times I think Judon is going to be really good. So strong and slippery. Just cuz I say we could use a young disruptive rusher to complement him. Doesn't necessarily mean I do not have confidence in him. I'm guessing 12-13 sacks for Judon this year
