  1. I think you guys are miscalculating a little. Howard could likely go before any of WRs. Like he is top 10 or better. Especially with no top shelf WR that checks all the boxes. Then Barnett is going to be there at 16. He is. I hope not but he is. I know mostly everybody here he heads up your wish lists. So you guys will like how round one unfolds. If Foster is there at 16 I would uncork my 75 yr old brandy before the pick is official!
  2. It could be manageable. If an expensive QB playing poorly is doable. Then so is overcoming the 18mil cap hit cutting him. However there is a catch. To overcome it we would have to find a franchise QB in the mid rounds of the draft or cheap in free agency. Such as a QB a team gave up on to early or flew under the radar. Potentially Mettenberger Aaron Murray. Two QBs I think could excel if surrounded by a dominant line and functional weapons. Or draft a Chad Kelly or Brad Kaya in round4 or later that impresses in short order. As well as a really good draft. Not favorable scenarios but not out of the question. Of course the better idea is to surround our QB with a dominant line and good weapons. And not have to consider. cutting him.
  3. Not a fan of the Carr signing at all. He is an average player entering season 10. Ravens should of signed Claiborne. But have to take the chance on greatness and a true cornerstone player. Have to!!! With Jefferson and Weddle at safety Claiborne has skills to be a top3 cornerback. And give us a real cornerstone player on defense. I know he has quite the injury history but he has hit his stride and his latest injury was kinda flukish. If he plays most of th games and playoffs the ravens easily have the best secondary in the league. im on board with the Jefferson signing. He is a a stud that is getting better by the game. I initially hated the signing because of ignoring the promised dominant offensive line. And his 4.75 40 and box playing style in a throw the ball league. However he clearly has the speed athleticism and instincts to play deep safety. By far he can. He can close as fast a earl thomas. If ravens play him at free safety he could be as good as earl Thomas and have 5 ints if offenses feel like testing him. I don't talk myself into liking signings or picks that I initially dislike only cuz he is a raven. But Jefferson is a phenom! He could be the best free safety in football if that is what ravens do with him. He closes like lightning and strikes like a cobra with top shelf football i.q. and instincts. But I do not like signing Carr over Claiborne. Carr represents a hopefully solid signing to hopefully make secondary stout enough to do its part to make playoffs. Claiborne if healthy would make our secondary a no fly zone that puts the squeeze on offenses air attacks. And give the defense an identity until we find a dominant edge rusher. Carr is an upgrade but Jefferson could be the best safety anybody have any tips for navigating all 22?
  4. I like Davis and Lamp a lot. Lamp is very similar to Yanda. With Lamp the skills ravens young line would be coming together with anchors Stanley Lamp and Lewis. Lamp can play any position on the line including RT and Center. Only knock on lamp is he doesn't have much growing room. Many young lineman are young adults and growing. His frame is maxed at 6'4 310. Many lineman grow a little. Lamp doesn't have a big frame for growing any. But 310/315 is plenty big enough. Because he is already strong and nasty. Ad much as I like Lamp. I would trade that pick for Lael Collins. Longer than Lamp and slightly bigger. He could be an all pro RT. If he didn't play with Tyron he could be a pro bowl LT. He totally dominated many highly touted edge rushers in the SEC. Dude is strong and nasty with athleticism and top shelf technique and understanding of blocking. I know that isn't a ravens move but would favor that move over any draft pick. Because Cam is a real option at 16. And Collins is far better than cam! Collins Stanley and Lewis would give us young anchors for a dominant offensive line that would be as good as any O-line in the league. But I would like Lamp as well
  5. Not my favorite pick. But I would be quite excited about his potential. He has feet to work the slot as a dual threat unlike Perriman and Wallace who aren't shifty enough for that early separation. I would prefer Davis because his size but like Ross to. I like many round2 and 4 WRs as well like JuJu Stewart and Westbrook. I don't like zay jones at all. And not that big on cooper. But I could change my opinion on him eventually.
  6. I totally agree about BK. He is not strong at all for a guy his size. I mean, where is he going to play? He isn't nearly strong enough to play on a 3-4 line. And he failed miserably at rush lb on college scene. For a breakout Dixon and Stanley is pretty obvious. I like Moore and Judon as well. But the real breakout star is Guard Alex Lewis. The guy understands blocking and positioning. He is growing yet Harbaugh said. Harbaugh seems more excited about the 6'6 320lb guard than any young player. He is athletic enough to handle penetrators and nasty enough to handle bull rushers. I picture him a smarter version of Alex Boone. Alex Lewis is breaking out. You can count on.
  7. I like Tim Williams as well. Right now by an eyelash over Lawson. That could eventually change cuz i like Lawson a lot as well. I think Williams ends up a 260lb rush lb once he grows and fills his adult frame out. One that can rush the QB like a rocket as well as cover zones and Running backs and TE's. His explosion is there with Von Miller and Khalil Macks. Would be ideal for him to learn from Terrell Suggs. I think he has far better natural skill than McKinley Harris and Barnett. Once he is coached and polished he will be that edge rusher we need that can get into the QB in a blink.
  8. I think their edge flexibility is comparable. However I would prefer Tim Williams and Carl Lawson over Harris and Barnett. I'm undecided on Who I prefer out of Lawson and Harris. I believe Williams could be a great all around edge rush lb. He could eventually be very good in coverage zone and man up on running backs and TE's. He only needs some coaching and polish on recognizing offenses plays. He has the skills.
  9. Very true. However Elam and Perriman you could make a case were slight reaches. Elam was highly touted. But his stock was not doing so well by draft day. Scouts were beginning to identify what he couldn't do in the NFL. And Perriman's stock heated up after his proday. His stock was already heating up a little for his big plays. But nobody was projecting round one. Nor was anybody guessing 4.3 much less 4.2 based on his game tape. All of his pre draft projections were sub 4.5 maybe. But even 4.45 speed Is very good for a WR of his size with all his downfield playmaking
  10. Max Williams. Matt Judon and Chris Moore. Everybody wants it to be Perriman. But to be honest Chris Moore gives what Harbaugh is looking for. That fast early and intermediate separation maybe
  11. Give us JuJu and Stewart and if the offensive line is elite. And an all purpose Runner like Dixon and our offense is top4. However not to say John Ross isn't a great player. He is very unique in that he could be a high volume WR in the slot. But he can get deep on any given play from the slot position. NFL defenses would be stressed covering a guy that can catch 8-9 per game over the middle. And that same guy could decide on a big play. He could suddenly make a lightning fast cut and go for the big play while the defense is covering the slot. Opposing teams will have to account for him
  12. I like idea of identifying the players you want and moving around to get them. Of course you have to think realistically. Example first 3 rounds say we want JuJu, Lawson, and Eluemunor. Now those players are in our range but we may have to make a little move for JuJu. We know we have 3 players that will make an impact on our team. Lets say a game changer drops to 8/9 like Malik Hooker or Jamal Adams. Let's say Peppers is the No. 1 safety to get drafted and Hooker or Adams slides. Then you have to say ok what will it take to get this guy. And you may give up slightly more than you wanted. But you come away with a player you are excited about. As opposed to a couple players you have moderate hopes for.
  13. If Sheldon is only going for a 4 then we should trade for him and line him up as Jernigans bookend. Jernigan and Richardson could prove a potent rush. And then there is the rush lb's to consider while trying to contain jerney and Sheldon. Is Sheldon in a contract year? Jerney and him playing for a contract would be very potent rush!
  14. Give us JuJu and Stewart and if the offensive line is elite with an all purpose back. And our offense will be top3 maybe best in the NFL. I would take Howard/Njoku at 16 as well. Man among boys especially Njoku. Stewart plays faster than his 4.48. He didn't practice much for the 40. And he plays fast and shifty. Catches without hearing down. Don't sleep on Chris Moore. He can get open and I think he can begin actually pulling in the catch.
  15. It would be very ideal to land a top shelf edge rusher, offensive lineman, top end no.2 borderline no.1 receiver or better and a defensive back. Ravens would be back in Super Bowl picture. Regardless who those players are. I would like Stewart/Westbrook round 2-3. Westbrook could be steal of the draft! I would like Ross in round1 as well. He is a football player that happens to have blazing speed. He can get open intermediate.
  16. I like artavius steward round3
  17. What are some thought about Duane Smoot at pick No.16? Woops that should be comp pick 90's
  18. I like Ross as well. He is going to be able to separate in the NFL at intermediate range. I would be excited about potential
  19. I like taco actually if ravens go back to a predominately 4-3. I actually like Malik McDowell lol. I guess some fans don't put quite as much stock in college production. Umm I dunno I guess sometimes maybe. I thought I would get confronted on trading pick No. 16 for Collins and a draft pick
  20. That could be true. Bosa is far twitchier than he was credited for. As was Watt. I'm not sure about No. 1 but if Barnett were more explosive he would be the best edge rusher in most drafts. This draft Garrett is such a freak. A once every 5 year athlete. We all have our guys we like or root for. I really like Carl Lawson and Taco Charlton at 16. Trading back and picking up Lawson would be really awesome scenario. Lawson 20's
  21. I know this. Not saying he is a bust. Not my favorite edge rusher by far. when tackles get to the NFL their technique gets far better. If Whitworth showed that technique in college he would have went to the jets at No.4 overall. Same could be said of our Wagner. Armstead would of been a top10 pick if he showed half that technique in college. King Dunlap would be a top60 pick. Tackles are not coached well in college. Stanley is a rare example. His technique and form is like natural honey. See Barnett vs Lael Collins. However Collins is rare as well. One of my favorite ever draft participants. I would consider trading pick 16 for him. If not playing with Tyron he could be a fine tackle.
  22. Maybe not favorite pick but I would be quite happy at 16 Reddick! He could be a Von Miller Peter Boulware weapon as a 4-3 olb. And if this guy played ilb the defense would scramble trying to account for his very unique blitzing and cover skills.
  23. I agree with Mike Williams. I do like Ross. He has the skills to be an elite route runner. He can get open and has some ball skills. I wouldn't call him a reach but Derek Barnett is being overhyped here. I know he is refined, plays hard and has pretty good bend. And because of his limitations elsewhere many here are projecting a fall to the ravens. And overlooking his limitations and thinking Terrell Suggs again. Some (here)have compared his flexibility to the greats like Miller and Ware. Even if he were comparable. That is the only category he compares to those guys. Because he isn't in their league. His effort and technique will be easily handled and locked up by most NFL tackles. That is the one defensive player ravens need to steer clear of like an iceberg in round one! I don't like Zay Jones as an NFL WR. His game will not transfer to beating NFL defensive backs. Corey Davis has some things to prove in the NFL as well. Although I do like his game. He may not be the all pro he is touted. Cam Robinson needs to fine tune his game before being a good RT. If he is coached up properly he could be a really good NFL Right Tackle. But he needs coaching on his technique big time. As he sits now even B edge rushers would beat him. But if he is coached how to use his hands. And run and drive his legs as opposed to reaching and lunging. And how to properly maul smaller opposition. He could be a really good Right Tackle. But he could have a learning curve.
  24. So what are you saying?? If you are wrong enough somebody will offer you a job as an NFL gm? Lmao I don't care to be right or wrong. Scouting players doesn't pay me dude. You are not a paid scout yourself. I care about my job that pays me. Being good at that. But some people on here act offended when somebody is not agreeing with them with particular players. To many unemployed football scouts in America. I only take a peak at the team ravens will be fronting. As for Mayock of course he is wrong sometimes. He is scouting every player. Ranking every player. But when he really likes somebody. He is usually correct. You argue every year for players like Correa, Upshaw Elam and Cody as the list continues to grow. I don't like Barnett. Maybe round 3. I'm not typing 5 pages explaining to you why. But I do have specifics.
  25. Don't you ever get tired of being wrong? Every year you try to convince everybody of some liked player
