Brutal. Wasn't sure if I was watching Derek Carr or Tom Brady out there today.
i think the report was "jogged a series of 100 yard intervals". Well, that's better than nothing. ![]()
If nothing else we've got a proven pass rusher for the PIT game coming up.
Thrilled that Daniel Brown #83 WR has been added to the Practice Squad. All of us at Isle of Wight Academy are so proud of Daniel, especially Director of Athletics and Coach, Dale Chapman. So glad that the Ravens made the very wise choice!!!
Thrilled for him as well - he earned it!
Happy about Ross signing - now we just need to get Breshad back on the field.
Carl Davis, Breshad Perriman, Zadarious Smith, Nick Boyle, Max Williams, Buck Allen and Darren Waller, all from the last draft and all of them on the 53 man roster. I'd say that's pretty darn good.
Excellent point my friend. It says a lot for the guys we've drafted (this year and prior) that other teams are scooping them up.
Looks like a lot of guys are getting a shot with another team. Really hate to have wasted a 5th on Myers, but hindsight is 20/20.
So our KR is?
Oh no Harbs gave a timetable! Seriously though this is some much needed movement in a positive direction for Breshad.
Can Daniel Brown handle returns also? ![]()
Myers tried to pull up and just tripped on that penalty. He hit the guy basically on his knees. He'll learn, but hopefully he stays safely on the PS.
Brooks and Carl Davis are balling. Davis started a little slow tonight but he's thrashing people now.
Davis is an absolute BEAST. This may be his last career 4th preseason game.
LOL - nice halftime interview coach ![]()
Boyle and Reuland will take all the snaps tonight. All of the starters including Gilmore will not suit up tonight. No worries for Gilmore
Ah got it. For whatever reason I was thinking Reuland was the guy who broke a leg or something.
Hey aren't we a little thin at TE right now? With Max banged up I'm concerned about the idea of Crockett being put out there with a bunch of guys trying to make a name for themselves in a last ditch effort to make a team.
I used to love the phantom injuries landing guys on IR but I never once saw a player succeed from that process.
So true.
It's times like these when more developmental types like Waller experience mystery injuries and end up on IR. Not that I'm advocating that - he has shown what I think is enough to be able to contribute this season. Although I haven't seen any end zone jump balls involving him yet.
Sure hoping Carter goes to the PS, I think he just needs more exposure to NFL game speed.
Javier Arenas just got cut. Much better returner than anyone on the roster AND probably could be the 4th or 5th best corner on the current roster.
Sounds like Javier Arenas > Asa Jackson, so could be a conceivable move.
Not perfect news by any stretch, but I'll take it considering how ugly it looked.
On Timmy Jernigan, while he escaped a significant knee injury, he'll still have some work to do to be ready for Denver. That's in question
Ditto. It's a long season and we'll need him in November/December.
If Camp and Webb were really being held out as more of a precaution then that's a big relief. It's smart. Somebody in the office mentioned that AP hasn't played a preseason game in years. I think for Webb at least, that would be a wise move. Camp is only going into his 2nd year, so not sure there, but he really needs to be 100% (or as close to it as possible) to be effective.
Well we probably beat this horse to death (where is that icon, lol). It's over, I expect the next game for it to be better. I'm a big fan of Harbaugh and frankly the guy deserved Coach of The Year a few times, so maybe that's why I'm so disappointed. Obviously John could give a rip what I think but felt the need to say it here. I am a huge fan of this team and if I'm being critical it is through that lens I am looking. Appreciate the back and forth, points made on both sides.
I can only suspect that Jay Gruden said something nasty to Harbs to the effect of telling him to control his players to which I think John went off! I can't think of anything else that would incite him that way. Jay Gruden is a weasel. He looked scared when John went on the offensive!
That I could agree with. Not having any previous knowledge of Gruden, he seemed like a guy with no control of his team. The Aiken "tackle" was so over the top dirty he should have pulled that player on the spot.

I'm glad you got a good laugh out of that. Of course I meant we made him look like Brady. I am definitely not laughing.
