I saw it, was wondering the same thing. Who knows? We probably will never know.

Without getting too much into specifics, it feels like there has been a seismic shift in philosophy. Before training camp Harbaugh talked about a wide open competition and the guys who step up will make it, regardless of past history. I forget the exact words, but I like the concept. Butler's release doesn't really jive with that philosophy, but its not exactly like he was a potential pro bowl WR either. I think they're shooting for identifying real explosive game changers, cause last year didn't cut it obviously.

Just something that I noticed with Breshad - he's physical! I was impressed with what I saw of his hand fighting ability. I think Q said Steve Smith was coaching him up on some finer points, which of course I would expect.

He (Waller) looked pretty great last night, although I admit I didn't watch him every snap or anything like that. He is big and fast - looks like a muscular NBAer. I haven't seen many of these "projects" turn out well in the past, but Waller may just be a major exception. I think he can be become a very very good TE, potentially explosive. I am really curious what is up with Maxx though.

Are there any Judon highlights of this preseason anywhere? I can't find any on BR.com, and missed every time he made a play. Excited for that young man.

Basically missed the whole game :(. Did Mike Wallace play at all?

What exactly is the deal with Chris Moore? Is it a "soft tissue" thing or what? I am excited about having him here, along with Tavon Young.

Really just another sad situation with a very high draft pick, ala Sergio Kindle. Totally different circumstance, but same net result. Chris Moore just became a lot more important to our equation at WR. Thankful for that pick this year.
