  1. Actually, we hold the tie breaker over the steelers no matter what. The common games come into play only when the head-to-head and the conference record are both a tie. Currently, we have only 2 conference losses, assuming we lose from the Steelers, that's a 3. The Steelers currently have 3 conference losses, if they lose any game (Bills, Bengals, Browns), the go up to 4. There is no scenario in which we end with a tie in the conference record. Even with common games, we still have the tiebreaker. Currently, the Ravens are 6-4 in common games; the Steelers are 5-5. All coming games are common games, if we end up with a tie over the coming 4, we still hold the tie breaker in common games. Long story made short, we win any tiebreaker over the steelers no matter what.
  2. Thank you for the efforts you put into this detailed response. Just at the outset, I am not a Flacco hater. I just expect him to play like the 4th highest paid QB. If the QB cannot perform at that level for whatever reason, be it bad OL or bad shoulder, or even bad luck then it would be insane to put close to 20% of the salary cap there. Such money should go towards a better run game. There are a lot of QBs who are paid in the same category as Flacco but the majority of them are able to carry their team when needed. Most of them are leaders who are able to develop and groom rookie WRs when necessary and make journey WRs look good. Some of the names include Ben Roethlisberger, Tom Bardy, Matt Rayn, Cam Newton, Aaron Rodgers, and Russel Wilson; all are paid less than Flacco btw. To make my point clearer, Ryan Mallett is being paid less than 1 Million this year. Do you really think the level at which Flacco is playing justifies the 24 million in pay differential? Just imagine what you can do with a $24 million to the OL. I know that there is little to do at this point and my venting would not change his contract or the dead money we will have to carry in case he is cut but honestly someone has to put some fire under his seat and remind him why he is being paid what he is being paid.
  3. The OL admittedly did not help much, but I also believe the outcome would have been very different if Joe is doing half what a $25million/yr is expected to do. If he cannot, it would have been better then to settle for any $10milion/yr QB or even a rookie QB and invest the difference in an OL that can make a difference in the run game. Having that said, I do not see the OL going anywhere this year with Zuttah at Center; it's like having 4-men OL with a huge hole in the middle.
  4. That's his first year for God sake; what do you expect from him with a crappy OC, QB, and OL. Are you seriously expecting him to carry the veterans!!
  5. 1. Stay patient and let the game come to you and transfer that mentality to your players. 2. Avoid penalties. 3. Practice more situational football (i.e. red zone offense and defense; goal line situations, 3rd, and short, two minute offense ...etc) ; it seems to me that's where we need to improve the most.
  6. I hate when Flacco start talking by saying "We've go to...." or "We got to...".. it seems so repetitious .. Just count how many times he says that after every single game.. How about that; you have take responsibility about your bad playing and focus on getting everyone on track starting with yourself.. Instead, you are not helping any of your teammates nor helping yourself .. your own mistakes are the same every single game; missing open receivers, over- or under throwing receiver, lack of patience when you have time, and holding the ball too much when you do not have time to.
  7. 4th and 9 Fake FG in the Super Bowl is not careless enough for you? Having Tucker line up as a lefty and throw a pass in swirling winds not characterized as careless? The main reason why you go for the points is because there was a ton of time on the clock and aside from 1 big catch the D was doing a great job and creating turnovers. In the scenario that we would have gone for the FG that would have made the game 16-17. If in the following drive the Giants score a TD and go up 16-24 it is still a 1 possession game. Can you win a game in the 4th Qrt with 14 plus minutes left on the clock? NO! Can you win a game in the 4th Qrt with 0 minutes left on the clock? YES! WTG Harbs! You do realize that after we turned the ball over on downs, the Giants only got to the 20 and punted which we then turned into a FG to make the score - you guessed it - 17-16. Same outcome. True! But you also lost time on the clock, deflated your offense, and gave your opponent's defense unnecessary moral boast at home field.. It is unforgivable in my opinion!! .. The clear message that your team gets, both on offense and defense, from those failed tries is that we are a desperate who consistently resort to desperate actions and consistently fail... This team needs to build confidence and that only comes a little bit at a time and only comes from consistent good playing even if it was little... A FG would have been more than enough to do that..
  8. Again and again; coaching decisions come to haunt us late in the game; 1st and goal from the 3-yard line and you fail to get a TD in the first 3 attempts. What makes you think that you are going to get it on the fourth try. Unbelievable!... Just smh!! had he accepted that FG, he would have needed only another FG on the last drive... I can't stop thinking of how bad game management has gotten by our coaching staff. On another note, what is the heck wrong with Flacco?!! How could he miss so many open receivers every game?!!! Is it just me or everyone sees that?
  9. You don't have to cut Buck to make space for Dixon; Dixon is already on the 53 man roster. You only need to make a space for Waller if he is to be on the roster and in such case, I see Williams being placed on IR.
  10. what about the decision for the 2-point conversion when you did not need to..
  11. Unbelievable calls from Harbaugh, why go for the 2-point conversion when our offense was not going well.. it would've been a tie if he just kicked it. and why accept that stupid penalty when you had the change to hold them to a field goal!!! I am not against being aggressive; but honestly there is no need to be that aggressive when you have a lot of time to come back and there is no real urgency... smh!!!! P.S. Aiken should be benched as well a lot of drops and poor ST play.. cost us a lot today..
  12. This is exactly the same kind of game we used to lose last season. Very happy to see us coming on top this time. It takes a lot of heart to come back from such large deficit. A lot of work is yet to be done though but I am quite optimistic.. GO RAVENS
  13. Why nobody mentions Joe's lack of mobility and slow playing as part of the reason he got sacked, hit, and hurried... In my opinion, if he is 100% and making fast decisions, at least half of those plays, if not all, would have been different. He took most of his snaps in shotgun and he did not move out of pocket or stepped forward when he should have. I am sure this is going to improve with time though.. Go Ravens..
  14. Can't remember last time we finished a game without significant injuries.. That felt good.
