  1. While I agree about Flacco's progression or lack there of, he earned that contract while playing on his BS rookie contract. The way he is playing now should effect any other contract negotiations he may have from here on out. Unfortunately that's the way it works people like Revis and Owens tried to change that, by negotiating every year but eventually they to learned the truth. That just gets you on a new team.
  2. I liked the call to go for it. He's right if you cant pick up a first down when you're 4 and 1 then thats a freaking problem. A big problem. Us kicking that FG will not declare us winning the game. The game is called how the game flows. I'm quiet sure different calls would've been made and it probably wouldn't have been the same outcome. I almost can guarantee it. You also can force guys back. That stuff takes time. As much as we want those guys back, if the doctors say their not ready, they can't play. The NFL is different now. You're right, flacco can't throw 40+ but what do you expect when we keep getting 3rd and longs and penalties set us back? You have to throw! lmao This penalty thing is just another blatant Harbaugh flaw. It shows nothing less than a lack of discipline. His calls and lack of keeping his teams emotions in check hurt badly. In the past when this happened our beloved Ray Lewis or Ed Reed would give us the speech we needed to settle down. I just don't see Harbs commanding that type of respect, and he get's ride of the voices capable of doing this for fear of another mutiny. Mabey short yardage is a problem but a bigger one is a lack of motivators on this team. Playmakers aren't motivators, they just make plays. Leaders will always know what to say when it all hits the fan, Harbaugh by his own choice is our only motivator. Ask far as I can tell so far he is speaking unto deaf ears. This all points to the result of 27-29 since we had our great purge of the voices. Ray and Ed retired they dropped Boldin and Pollard, then that same offseason we had a slew of players getting arrested. The J. Jones party bus and the next year the Ray Rice saga. I might not be a math major but this paints a pretty clear total. Harbs must go or change his philosophies so we can get some alpha males back in this team instead of goofy Suggs, who nobody takes seriously because he choose to be a clown the whole time Ray and Ed were here. We have talent and playmakers, a motivator is all we are missing.
  3. We took the points and rode M. Stover to a Super Bowl. Why now is it an issue 21 out of our last 22 games have been decided by 8 points or less. If we start taking the points it will be just enough. We have proven we can hang with any team consistently we just need a few more points. I get that the red zone issu s is part of the problem, but let's not compound them by not taking what the defense gives us. If it's a field goal fine, at least we will have something to show for it instead of no point because we always want to be aggressive. You can be aggressive in January, for now we just need to stack wins.
  4. Sigh. It is what it is. Other teams have not faired as well as we have. It really isn't just the Ravens even though it feels that way. The patriots had just as many injuries and a shuffled offensive line last season and they were still in the championship game against Denver.
  5. So we got the field goal anyway huh? Yeah but you just threw away 1 min of game clock minimum. Analytics be dammed he stated last week that he promised when we hired him to be aggressive. I think he needs to actually evaluate each case instead of being aggressive. If your absolutely hell bent on going for it then run behind your best lineman of the game, not a stretch play. Alex Lewis who was playing a different position was actually graded as our best lineman, so if you must run it in go right up his backside. Zuttah or however you spell his name has been blown off the ball consistantly all year. It's hard to say let's punch the goal when your center is collapsed every play. When we did get a close touchdown by the goal T. West jumped right behind A. Lewis go figure. What the real issue is Harbs makes the same decision no matter the situation. I just hope he will consider taking the points in a low scoring affair in the future. I don't think my pacemaker can take to muck more of this.
  6. Again we have a make shift banged up offensive line and just got stuffed 3 plays in a row you take the 3. All things considered we don't have the proper personnel to punch that in and oh yeah we suck in the red zone anyway. This is three weeks in a row a bad choice has cost us points that could have made the games much easier. That said no garente we would have won, but I believe we had a far better chance. By not getting any points their we surrendered any gained momentum.
  7. Just spicing up things here. One of those audibles was when Joe literally changed the play and we ran right into the defensive overload while the left side of the line outnumbered the defenders. Someone just shoot me lol To funny
  8. The offensive genius Brian Billick would have kicked the field goal, knowing the personnel issues combined with our lack of red zone success. We fired him one year after giving him a contract extension, Harbs is 27-29 including the playoffs since Ray Lewis retired. Why do we keep giving him a pass exactly? That being said if we go 8-8 or 7-9 I don't see him losing his job, any worse than that then we might pull the trigger and cut him loose. I used to give him the benefit but, I'm tired of defending him when he doesn't even contribute. He doesn't coach offense, defense or special teams for us. He is a motivator and a game manager whose few influential decisions have put us in peril late in games way to often. He I a gambler who doesn't have the cards so he just keeps bluffing. Gotta change it up once in a while Harbs.
  9. It's not like they didn't call the routes, it's that those routes were covered. Watch the game, you could see that on tv. Smh He has consistently done this since last year, he has fundimental problem going on. Perhaps it could be a mental thing as well. I don't have the answer but I'm not blind he throws short every time because it's one read check down. He hasn't gone through his progressions since the Super Bowl. On a plus I did see him call 3 adjustments and 2 audibles today.
  10. Wallace is a game breaker, but as you said we have Flacco
  11. what happened to the pass rush? i thought giants had the worse OL next to us They did before the game but as usual we turn their weakness into their strength. Don't know why or how we always seem to do this.
  12. I have 20 years of ticket stubs that say your wrong
  13. Isn't that Harbaugh narrowed words, way to throw it back at him. You sir are a genius.
  14. All the play calling in the world can't stop Flacco from throwing behind the line of scrimmage when you need 19 yards. That said Harbaugh needs to stop pulling points from the board. 3-0 with Stanley 0-3 without a rookie seems to be our best player. 8-14 in the last 22, all but one game decided by 8 or fewer, we just aren't very good.
  15. 26-28 since Ray Lewis retired, check your facts before defending a losing coach Oh and it's the flock get it right
  16. 26-28 since Ray Lewis retired, check your facts before defending a losing coach
  17. Oh and BTW 3-0 with Stanley 0-3 without him, I think that says it all when your most important player is a rookie.
  18. To true 8-14 in the past 22
  19. Even with the beat up offensive linemen? yes because brady would have won with this offense. flacco i hate to say is avg. and overpaid Agree about flacco but this line is in shambles
  20. Which obviously explains how bad he is due to, -Bringing Baltimore its second Lombardi trophy. -80 wins to 53 losses. *not counting Playoffs. - 10 wins 5 losses in playoffs since he got here, (Best playoff record from then to now.) -After a tough season we are currently having a winning season so far and as far as I'm concerned if we fix our offense, we could be one of the most dangerous teams. And also Sarah Ellison, keep up the good work. I love reading LFW and will continue to read it. Ditto, Sarah. Love reading your column. It's the one column on this site I never miss. He is 26-28 since losin Ray Lewis and 1-1 in his only playoff appearance as a wild card.
  21. Give me examples that he was making his calls on defense and offense?? All of his OC or DC made all the calls on their owns and history speak for itself. If you are saying John making all the calls, the year when Kubiak was here I guess John did an excellent jobs for making all good play calls and schemes....lol Also, you are saying that you only count his track record after his SB win? /scroll eyes.. You statement is really insult to football fans' intelligence..... Kubiak was hired by the front office. That was not a Harbaugh decision and everyone know that. Camron was a bust, Mattison was a bust, Pees is no genius, Tresman.. well,.. you know. I count the record after the SB win because he let go of all the leaders on the team after the SB and has only had one winning season since, Player that questioned his decision making like Boldin and Reed were let go. Settle for mediocre if you want.. others want better for the team. You mention that the Kubiak hiring was done by the front office. Fair enough. But of course that same front office did the releasing of Boldin, Reed, and all the others we did not retain after the SB, not Harbs. Wrong Harbs made it clear he didn't want any voices in the locker room that could challenge him. The front office simply let him have his way after delivering a super bowl
  22. Your right I like the feel of the play call, we just need to execute more.
  23. Even with the beat up offensive linemen?
  24. It's 4 weeks in a row, we barley squeaked by Cleveland.
  25. They were all injured already. These aren't the guys we all started with, and they keep dropping. We do however need better depth.
