  1. We gave up over 130 rush yards, good defense, ha.
  2. This play was yet another example of a lack of discipline. I'm glad that these moments keep proving the lack of situational coaching.
  3. Translation: we just ran that ball down their throats and walked all over that #1 rushing defense then took the worst secondary in the league and grabbed 2 interceptions off of your "Elite" quarterback while taking the raining interception king of the NFL and put up a 115 passer rating oh yeah just take ravens. I mean why is our team so pathetic right now, injuries can't be blamed forever, what's this 4 years now of brutal injuries and bad fill in decisions. I don't have a solution to this mess, but if I'm a player on this ravens team, I'm taking a long hard look at myself this bye week and asking myself as a man is this the best I can really do? Teamwork makes that dream work, but personal accountability drives all the working parts towards greatness. We need every player from starter to last on the depth charts to stand up and look in that mirror to ask themselves how can I make this team better. I might not believe in our coaching or our lack of evaluations in recent drafts, but I do believe you are all in the NFL for a reason. It's time to stop making excuses or trying to hard thinking about not getting penalties, and trust your instincts that got you this far. I would perfer everyone studied more film individually like a Ray Lewis or an Ed Reed, but I understand not everyone is the same. That said do whatever it is that you do best to prepare for the game of your life every single week. We are still only one game behind the steelers and undefeated in our own division, keep this up and push through this mess that is taking hold of your season. Don't let a 4 game loosing streak define your season, instead use it to propel this team back to the top of this division. It's all still there, but the likelihood of that occurrence is slim to little. As a fan I am irrational and insensitive sometimes, but doesn't fan stand short for fanatic? I can hope against hope and believe in the most dismal of times, you continually test my faithfulness every week. Sometimes I feel as though the NFL just doesn't even matter anymore, yet you consistently keep pulling me back in. I might cringe, curse and cover my eyes; yet I'll tune in everytime. This division is bad right now, so there's still a chance. After this season, we still need to reflect on what exactly went wrong here no matter the outcome.
  4. Are we talking legit competition, if so that will never happen. They just have to much pride to let go of a great mistake, that's why players stick around way to long here. We all want that true competition but you and I know that will never happen as long as Ozzie is in charge.
  5. I believe it goes even deeper to the drafts and personnel moves, 2nd oldest team in the NFL says a lot. But yeah spot on with the coaching, we just suck, evident by our lack of discipline and the multitude of penalties in all phases of the game.
  6. BTW the ravens have the 2nd oldest team in the NFL this season. #Truth
  7. How did Harbaugh "rid" the team of its leaders? Did he make Lewis and Reed retire? Did he Hurts Suggs arm or SSS's ankle? Just about every one we draft was a captain of their team or a leader on their team in college. We have MANY leaders on our team. He didn't necessarily "rid this team of leaders", but he is definitely doing a terrible job of coaching this team. When it comes to execution, player developing, determining a players worth, making the right calls on 3rd & 4th down, etc. He has this team PASS HAPPY and failing. Let alone beating around the bush and lying to the fans. A guy like Matt Elam can hang around for years, clearly can't play, but Daniel Brown who did nothing but make plays as WR when the opportunities arose could not even get a fair shot at starting. I'm sick of this harbaugh run circus and I know a lot of other fans are too. What coach in their right mind would sit back and let this team throw pass after pass after pass. I bet we own the record for the fastest offense to go 3 & out. And I didn't just start saying these things about Harbaugh this season. I've said it for years!! We gotta find a way to get Ray Lewis back in the building as our HC!! You had me until the Ray Lewis head coach statement, everything else makes sense. It's not leaders he got rid of but the alpha males, the same ones supposedly responsible for the "mutiny" in 2012. It's obvious he didn't ever want to be challenged again. Suggs chose the role of class clown along time ago, then sudden he wants attention, that wouldn't work at all. We need change, but leave Ray and his already cemented history as it is.
  8. T. West only gets what you block for, that play only worked because of the hold. Just sayin, go look again.
  9. All of this is just a lack of discipline and respect towards the coaches. The Jernigan blunder, the Mosley befuddle, the Tucker lined up wrong fake, the constant penalties and lack of tackling when put in perfect position. Don't forget all the people not playing on this salary cap we are paying 74 players plus an injury settlement with Campinaro, and it's only a 53 man roster with 8 practice squad members. 46 required active each week to play legally. This means we pay to many player not contributing, cut their salary and pay durable players, that should fall on Ozzie. As for Joe he won't ever change, he is what he is, which is consistently inconsistent with a really strong arm but little to no accuracy on softer throws. He can't or won't audible, still can't figure out why, I was at the Super Bowl he did it in that game but never again. He blames not going deep on his coaches but, he just needs to buck up and call it himself. Those interceptions looked obvious that his shoulder was in pain and what happened at the end, his shoulder locked up on him. Joe shouldn't have been playing this week for his own health, regardless if Mallet would have done better or not. The lack of blitzes on third down is what Pees has always done here, but these guys in the secondary are straight slow, when receivers run past them as if they are on training wheels that's bad. We have a lot of issues but Flacco is right near the top.
  10. He is gone and retired but we do need to draft those nasties again. The alpha male that steps up and commands not just the huddle but inspires the whole team, keep them in check when they need it, give an individual the pep talk that sends him towards greatness. That we can all agree.
  11. That says it all right there.
  12. We sucked last year but swept the Steelers as for the Bengals they just own us lately.
  13. Even if we get healthy and start winning it would just hide the same deficiencies that we are all complaining about now. We need more than band-aids we need legitimate solutions, not stop gaps but real long term solutions. And the Bengals are also a hot mess, this is a losing division so far this year, mean while the AFC west looks to be the hot division now. Don't forget Buffalo is one game behind the Patriots as well. Yeah before this game we were in a golden spot sitting in the 7th seed and one game out in our division now it will be division or bust.
  14. The lack of discipline on this team also speaks volumes, they were often in the perfect position and mad a bad choice to blow the play on defense, then our star player "penalty" is the only thing we do constantly. This says Harbs sucks, the injuries and failing lineups says Ozzie. Perhaps the overhaul is in need this offseason, or we can remain in denial and stay the course. Ravens are supposed to be yearly contenders like the Patriots, at least that's what Our lovely owner tries to spoon feed us all the time through his cheap used car salesman smile.
  15. In Ozzie we trust? I don't and haven't for some time now. Scouts make the roster not the GM, and all of our good scouts have moved on. Ozzie tries to cover his bad drafts with late moves on cheap veterans to keep the fans on his side . I am totally sick of the imbedded beat reporters, in the Ravens organization spoon feeding us the company lines instead of any real journalism. Were are the hard hitting questions every week, instead of these questions that are so ill formed that Harbs just makes fun of them and changes the subject. We need th hold the entire front office responsible for this mess we call a football team. That Jets team belongs in the #1pick sweepstakes, and we made them look like allstars. I know you can try and blame this all on injuries, but the bad drafting on offseason moves explain all the injuries. Then we invest in vets that are over the hill, why else are they always getting hurt. Remeber Sergio Kindle, we didn't even know he was narcoleptic when we took him first in that draft. That says it all right there. Terrance Brooks, Matt Elam, Sergio Kindle, Aurthor Brown, Denard Darling and to be determined Breshad Permian and Roney Stanley, all really questionable draft choices. If Stanley has a Liz Frank, which I suspect he does, then the poor kid won't ever get to really launch his career.
  16. Yes but we keep drafting lineman in the forth or even later rounds. This is why they are the best we can do. BTW we are paying 74 players this season, isn't it only a 53 man roster. That is why we have no money not because we spent it all on Flacco. That said he was clearly hurt, his accuracy was consistently off and that pass to Wallace was bad awareness by the DB. Yes Zuttah is the worst center in the league and Jensen wouldn't make any other rosters, but when you draft bad and fill in hole with to many veterans it happens. Let's face it Weddle wouldn't even be here if we drafted better safeties than Matt Elam or That other chump from Florida St Brown. Last year Yanda played through a tough sholder injury, so we sign him long term and let a younger Osemele go. Remeber the center before Zuttah, OMG he was the worst ever Grankowski or something. Before that we had the guard from Indy playing center. Right tackle hasn't been the same since Michael Orr. Our personnel moves suck, our best WR is Smith Sr, cause we can't draft a WR either. That's why we brought in Wallace to cover up our bad mistakes. It was the same plan for Watson before he got injured. Ozzie is struggling to grasp at straws to build something great like he was always credited for, even knowing it was our great scouts not the GM.
  17. If this isn't the proof we needed, you play an injured quarterback and jeopardize our chances. Great game time decision there Harbs, and don't tell me it wasn't an issue. He had two good passes all game the rest were rough at best. Then it's third and eleven and we run three routes and only one receiver goes beyond the sticks so Joe forces it into the double coverage in a vain attempt to get the first down. Even his ball to Wallace deep was a bad throw with a great adjustment by the WR and terrible awareness by the DB, I mean it went right through his hands. These injuries are a product of bad drafting and relying on elders to fill in the voids. Since 1996, twenty of our scouts have moved on to bigger and better things, this is putting it all on Ozzie and well you see what is happening. I mean is there any other team in NFL history to suffer this many injuries in a three year span? And now this is 22-23 games decided by eight points or less. Wow, I mean wow, this is a serious problem. We play up and down to our competition every week. This is the first time since the first half of the first game that Jimmy Smith followed a receiver, that is not our philosophy. Why would you change our whole system against a 1-5 team, and we were a top 5 defense so we should shake things up right. Why does Stanley practice all week long and get scratched, we obviously can't win without him. If this is a Liz Frank injury then he is done before his career even begins. Just be honest about an injury for once and tell us the truth, every year we pick one player to BS the fans about all year long. My only hope is we go 5-11 or worse so we can get rid of Harbs.
  18. The biggest concern is when pro bowler Marshall Yanda said, it's very confusing to zone block sometimes than pull and power on others. This means he didn't like that they switch from zone to power blocking constantly throughout the game. Yanda said it's hard to get in rhythm that way.
  19. Joe is a good quarterback, mabey not top 8 but solid. If his arm strength isn't there we should start Mallet. We get a bye after this and the Jets are the perfect team to rest him on. I don't think a controversy is what you want, we will wind up with the same circus that we are calling an election, ugh. Enough about that hot mess, I think if he is feeling sore why not give it a 2 week break.
  20. But when he does throw those dime and there have been quite a few already, our receivers need to actually catch it. More drops than I've seen in years. The rust on this offense is deeper than just Flacco being consistently inconsistent. You know exactly what that nonsense means. Week 10 or so we will be clicking on all cylinders based on the coordinator change and bye week. I'm still excited about our chances.
  21. If you can somehow fix the mistakes we are 3-1 in the conference 2 of our losses were to NFC teams and we are also 1-0 in our own division. It doesn't look good now but these numbers are more promising than say the 3-3 Titans. They are 2-2 in conference and 0-2 in the division. Plus all things considered, we sit in the seventh seed currently. Not a terrible position, add in the injuries and it explains the close losses. When one or two plays makes the difference, more healthy playmakers on the field can tip that balance into wins. That being said if we want to put teams away and keep our feet on their throats, we need more motivation. Harbs that your que, since you don't coach any phase of the game. We do all this and we can win enough to see what happens in the postseason. As we learned in Denver in 2012 once you get there anything can happen. That was a good Denver team we beat that year, they scared me a lot more that the Pats did.
  22. Other than the patriots no team practices those situations more than us already. It seems to me like it's more of a lack of respect thing towards Harbs. Why else wouldn't this become second nature as you suggest. I agree on paper your right, but when you inquire to who practices these situations more, the ravens are right at the top just below the pats.
  23. In 2012 we lead the league in penalties, the next year Seattle lead the league in penalties and they to won a Super Bowl. Penalties can be overcome by just going out there and making a play to rectify your previous mistake. That's what we don't do so well yet, that being said I liked the rhythm and flow of week one for our new OC. I think in the coming week we will be scoring a lot more points, but we still need to balance out our ratio. Honestly that penalty they called on NYG at the end of our last drive was complete BS, but they overcame that.
  24. We have proven over the last 22 games that it will be close no matter who we play. Even in 2014 we were awful on defense and almost out scored a patriots team who went on to win the Super Bowl, and we hadn't put up that many points all year. Trust me points are points with this team, as you can see we don't really like to score until it seams hopeless. Then mabey we'll punch one in there.
