  1. I'm a little afraid of Eric DeCosta becoming the GM. He seems like "a no personality robot".
  2. If that's true it sucks. I always liked watching the after game show. It's because the Ravens are a boring team, John Harbaugh made sure of this. He's boring and likes boring players. I'm really starting to dislike our self righteous "little leader of mighty men".
  3. I'm starting to believe our billionaire owner is losing interest in owning this team. In one of the biggest games (Steelers) of the year for his team, he decides to stay home. I know it was Christmas, but it just seems a little odd. I could never imagine Jerry Jones or Bob Kraft missing a game of that magnitude. And I know Art Modell would never miss a divisional game that could possibly decide the division champs, not to mention a game against your arch rivals. I just don't think Steve B cares as much, as we the fans, think he does. I think this team is run totally by John and the owner has put a lot of trust and faith in him. That is why, I believe, John is not that concerned about his decisions or what the fan base thinks. I believe John's relationship with Steve is closer then anyone elses in the Ravens organization. Even closer then Steve's relationship with Ozzie. If push comes too shove, Ozzie will go before John will. Even if things go south in 2017, I think John will still be the head coach of the Ravens, but the surprise, to a lot of us, will be the firing of the entire front office. John is "a do gooder" and he and Steve have a lot in common. For better or worse they both see life the same way. When watching that joint news conference on Tuesday, watch how uncomfortable Ozzy looks sitting there while John is in a comfort zone knowing that his boss is his "bff". He and Steve are of the same mindset. John will have no problems throwing people under the bus while Ozzie is going to be very calculated with his words. Ozzie totally understands the situation that he is in. Of course this is just all my opinion, and that's all it is, an opinion.
  4. So true. I think that is the reason our OC's have been limited in there play calling for Joe. Kubiak's offense was perfect for Him according to Tony Banks. I've spoken with Mr. Banks a few times (nice guy), and he said what makes Kubiak's offense good for most QB's is that it is straight forward and that the QB only has to make a few key reads. I know it want happen, but it would be great to have Kubiak back.
  5. Harbaugh has decided that he's going ride this ship to the end. He said he is not worried about his job security, which let's me know that the owner is ok with what he sees. We as fans can only hope things go well for this team in the near future I have my doubts and I really think "this thing" is not going to end well. Hope I am wrong.
  6. What would really be embarrassing would be the Ravens going all out to win and lose to a bunch of Bengals backups.
  7. And on top of everything, Harbaugh has made this team very boring. They are flat out boring to watch. There are no players on the team that excites the local fanbase and definitely not other NFL cities. Maybe the kicker, I guess. I live in the DFW area and both times that the Ravens went to the Super Bowl, there were people excited about seeing them play. The first Super bowl, people wanted to see that defense. This last Super bowl people were excited about seeing Ed and Ray. Outside of Baltimore, people aren't so much into the team, but more about certain players on the team. When you have big personalities and great players, it increases your fanbase to include a lot of fans outside of Baltimore.
  8. According too coach, four game loosing streak, due to injuries- not any bad in game decisions by Coach.
  9. I for one agree with you 100% I agre as well. I agree as well. John Harbaugh seems just a little too self righteous.
  10. I for one agree with you 100% I agre as well.
  11. This article is so full it, it's hard to take seriously. I don't think the Ravens have improved much at all from 2015. They still have the same issues they had the prior year: blowing leads, no running game, questionable coaching, very boring to watch, just to name a few.
  12. I told my cousin when we scored leaving 1:18 on the clock that the Ravens scored too soon. I have no faith that the Ravens defense will hold up when the game is on the line under Pees.
  13. The bad: The owner of the Ravens not being at one of the biggest games for his team. Don't know why, but that really bothers me.
  14. Man, I hope this kid pans out. So tired of us missing on our 2nd round draft choices. Heard it through a good source that this was Harbargh's pick.
  15. The good: we won bad: Flacco and the run defense ugly: coaching This coaching staff is starting too scare me. I really thought we had a good staff, not so sure any more. Some of decision making is really mind boggling. I'm pretty sure Marty won't be back, but starting to wonder about John. Will he be back? Haven't heard anything about his contract being extended beyond 2017 and it's hard to believe that he will coach on a one year deal.
  16. Good: defense and special teams. Bad: 0ffense. Juan Castillo will be fired this off season- Oline is horrible. Ugly: the Steelers, lol
  17. I just wish Flacco had a little more fire. Sometimes he looks "out of it".
  18. Is it coaching or talent? Not sure. Maybe a combination of both.
  19. We've had the same issues on defense for the last few years. I'm not sure if it's coaching, players, or whatever. The Ravens just continue giving up big plays in critical situations. We've change players several times, but still have the same results. I think a pass rush would help but currently we don't have one and i'm not sure how they fix it with current players on the roster.
  20. You're totally wrong. First of all, Bernie Kosar only played under him as offensive coordinator in 1989, and that was not his best year. Bud Carson was the head coach in 1989. In 1988, Marty Schottenheimer was the head coach and called the plays. Trestman was QB coach and did not call plays. Kosar's best years were under Lindy Infante, 86 & 87, Marc Trestman was not on the staff during those years. Bud Carson fired Trestman in the off season following the 1989 season and hired Jim Shoffner as the offensive coordinator. Also Bud Carson only coached the Browns to one AFCC and was fired during the 1990 season. Marty coached the Browns in 86 & 87 AFC Championship games. During the entire 1989 season, Trestman was under fire for how poorly the offense was performing. The media and fans were calling for his firing. Go do your research or better yet, call one of the Cleveland sport stations.
  21. Prediction: Trestman will be fired this off season.
  22. The good: defense and special teams. The bad: the O-line. The ugly: Marc Trestman - this guy has never been a good coordinator. I'm sure Ozzie knew that. Believe it or not, Ozzie played under this guy in 1989, as he was the offensive coordinator for the Browns that year. The Browns, somewhat like the Ravens, had a good defense but the offense was pretty bad. He was fired the following off season. 49ers hired him in 1995, and he was so bad that they had to bring Bill Walsh out of retirement to help him coordinate the offense.
  23. I am so tired of the excuses that this guy comes up with. If you all remember in 2012, he started the season standing on the sidelines, but because the defense was having issues with stopping the run he said he needed to go up to the booth. His claim, at the time, was that the defense was having "alignment issues/problems" and from the booth he would be able to better see what was going on. 2015, here we go again. During the ravens broadcast the other night I heard the announcer say that the reason Chuck Pagano was using a simplified defense is because it allows the players to play faster, and that they didn't have to think so much. I assume Dean's defense is probably a little too complicated thus the reasons we see so many mistakes. Also I believe because his defense is so complicated it causes a lot of hesitation.
