  1. imo let BW & RW go keep KJ (JUICE) and put a big contract in front of Dont’a Hightower we have Pierce to take over try to retain LG or pick up a cheap run stuffer or we could draft another and draft at least 2 CB and 1 FS within the first 4 rounds ,and as far as Nick Mangold if we could get him at a cheaper price then JZ I hope they do it he's an upgrade from JZ , just thinking Logan Ryan could also be available an we all know we are going to make cuts soon but just with the addition of Logan Ryan & Dont’a Hightower it would upgrade our defense to almost elite status and with the draft we could be a real contender next year and we could use our first round pick on offense to get a true #1 WR or another RT to replace RW but it all comes back to the coaches and yes its probably never going to happen but a man can dream right?

  2. at this point we all have no real clue who we are going to draft but we should have a good idea after free agency but as long as they can come in and contribute Ill be happy just hope we don't draft any special teamers and by that I mean guys that pretty much can't play a position very well but are good on special teams like what we did with Reynolds last year I want to see us get some hungry guy that want to compete for a starting job

  3. as far as cutting pitta goes I don't see it happening unless he refuses a pay cut joe will not just stand by while his bestie gets caned and we all should know that now when it comes to Tony Jefferson i love what i see from him if we cut webb lewis wright arington we should have the cap space to sign him as far as wagner goes let him walk I like the options we have in the draft ZACH BANNER,ADAM BISNOWATY,ERIK MAGNUSON or GREG PYKE who is a baltimore native all of these guys have potential to become starting lineman in the nfl If we are going to talk about how are WR always suck look no further than are WR coach and he doesn't get all the blame some goes to HC an FO for not firing his sorry a$$ how do they not fire this guy who obviously has no clue what he's doing then it all comes back to the running back he have good backs but thats not enough for us to be dominant again we need a game changer who can block now saying that I do think we have a hidden gem in dixon if he works his butt off this off season he can beat out west for the starting job plus his first step is quick when healthy
    lets go ravens nation

other than what he and andy reid did he has not proved to have a winning playbook an he will most likely be working somewhere else this time next year if he don't find a way to run the ball and win and fyi that was mostly his offense playbook last year not all trestmen after he took over

It was not Marty's playbook; Harbs stated they would not be changing the playbook during the season.  Really need to get your facts straight and stop talking alternate facts

go back an read this article WHAT CHANGES WILL BE MADE UNDER MARTY MORNHINWEG? he ran the west coast offense before he came here its his system and it was his plays he was calling

We have a bunch of options. It'll be interesting to see. Corner, wide receiver, pass rusher, and offensive tackle could all be in play. Honestly, I think pass rusher and offensive tackle may be a better choice for the first round due to the depth at the secondary positions, and receiver isn't as high of a priority.

I would rather have a pro-bowl caliber CB to play with jimmy and tavon remember what has happen to our D everytime jimmy goes down no pass rush because we can't cover anyone

LOL, again, may want to go back and watch the 2014 Ravens again.

don't need to and I'm talking about last year 2016

OK, but it pretty much destroys your whole theory. You're making a gross generalization about what a single team can or can't do based on ONE season.

Especially when a similar team just two seasons earlier showed you, without question, how a quality pass rush can make a bad secondary look viable in this league.

It defiantly does not I've played high school ball and 3 years in collage an I've never heard not one coach say the pass rush makes the secondary better an I played DE for Bowie and morgan state if your secondary can't cover for 3-5 seconds you WILL NOT get any type of pass rush even on average it takes JJ Watt 4-6 seconds to get to the QB an thats 1 on 1

"Have the New England Patriots been so successful over the years because of their continuity? Or have they had continuity because they win so much?"

Continuity is only productive if you have the right guys. We've all seen what "good" insisting on Cam Cameron did to the O back then, and I'm afraid we'll all see what "good" staying with Mornhinweg will do... The Pats were right to stick with their guys because they had the right ones... So, it all starts with identifying the right guy for each position. If that doesn't happen, continuity will, instead of being the seed of continued success, be the root of the downfall of an organization.

I think people are "afraid" because they forget that Marty came in and took over Trestmans offense. People should hold off on the "he sucks" talk until he is given a chance to come in and formulate his own schemes and his brand of offense. Then they can critique him. Just my opinion.

name one winning team he has coached

He's a coordinator. Coordinators aren't and shouldn't be judged based on W/L record, since that's obviously extremely flawed. Just a horrific way to look at a position coach or a coordinator.

Plus, if you wanted to be technical about it, he was a coach on the Eagles from 2003-2012, including roles as Assistant HC and OC. There's four division titles, 6 playoff appearances, 3 conference championship games and 1 SB appearance during that timeframe.

    Would certainly qualify as "winning".

other than what he and andy reid did he has not proved to have a winning playbook an he will most likely be working somewhere else this time next year if he don't find a way to run the ball and win and fyi that was mostly his offense playbook last year not all trestmen after he took over

  10. If Barnett is still on the board when we pick, i would lean towards drafting him over any CB. If we can improve our pass rush, which at times disappeared over the year i think that would help our secondary our substantially. Just look around the league and you can see that most teams that excel in the secondary have a good pass rush. Denver, Oak and Seattle all have good pass rushers and it helps out their secondary tremendously.

I would go for the top rated CB in the second and then a OL in the third. If Ozzie and Co. decide to move down the board like they did last year in the 2nd round i will be pretty upset lol. I want to see some aggressive moves up the board this year.

you have it backwards a good secondary helps the pass rush not the other way around if you can't cover how are you going to have enough time to get to the QB so no we should draft the best CB on the board at 16 for sure

  11. With these coaching changes I don't see any difference from last year. That being said we will have the same problems in 2017 that we did in 2016. Mornhinweg is not a winning coordinator an we will essentially have the same offense we did last year which was ok at best and was very inconsistent from week to week. But the run game was a key missing factor in 2016 an the hiring of Greg Roman is a good first step but will he alone be enough to bring the run game back to baltimore that might be the biggest ? going into the 2017 season, in my opinion I don't think so but anything can happen. As far as the Defense goes its just pitiful to watch Dean play soft zone coverage having the CB 7-12 yards off the line which gave AB all those big plays to knock us out the playoffs and you could say the same when we played the cowboys an they gave Dez 10 yards of space almost everytime he lined up.And as far as the pass rush goes it all ties to the same problem until we have a good secondary that can cover for at least 4-8 seconds we will continue to lack in the pass rushing category. But ultimately nothing will change an we will not hold another Lombardy up until the Harbaugh era is over.

  12. Ravenous_Ravens, I would agree with you except facts tell a different story.
You dont recall 15 total sacks from Sizzle,Dum,and Jernigan all last year. Mostly from Sizzle and Dumervil being injured most year.
The part bout others not getting a chance. Again not true. Judon showed he can be a player, 4 sacks or something. Maybe he can develop into a Kruger,Mcphee 3rd sack guy. But Correa bust obviously didnt do enough to get snaps, Koufusi bust so far(broken leg).

And the old Truism in football great pass rush helps a secondary, remember few years back we had 2, 14 point leads on Pats without Jimmy Smith and a bunch of street F/as why? Because we had Mcphee,Ngata,Sizzle couple yrs younger etc so Great pass rush covers up a lot of holes.

So while I definitely agree they need a CB in the early rounds, Pass rush is equally important

you are wrong a good secondary is what makes rushing the passer possible even if we had the greatest D-Line ever unless the secondary can cover for at least 3-5 seconds you won't get any pressure an if you watched the ravens play this year you should have seen it first hand that a weak secondary makes for a weak pass rush

  13. Pierre Garcon is too valuable for Cousins that they let him go especially after it is believed they'll tag Cousins again. As for Marshall, if we can get him, he'll make Flacco look like a really good QB and make our offense move the chains, but DV stuff? So, I doubt we can get either of these for different reasons.

Harbs and marshall actually have a good relationship an he was open to trading for him in the past but IF is a big word but IF Marshall hits free agency he's 80% likely to come here but ultimately it doesn't matter who we get its how they play on the field look at chris hogan at the beginning of the year no one knew who he was so hopefully we can find some hidden gems somewhere
