  1. This is plenty to look for at this game... what happens on the line will be quite important but what I think will be MOST important are game time adjustments... Marty and Dan have to be ready to adjust approaches... Marty mostly. Sure, if they are giving us the run then go for it but if they are stacking the box then stretch the field and if they are taking away the over the top then slot and tight end to the seam... still, have to make the D-line run and get them winded and then power through the seams... don't go outside on them (WR flair) and Sharzier shuts down screens. Misdirection works against their pursuit. Go Ravens!!!
  2. Glad to see Beyer get back on the field... I believe injury has been dragging Correa down... I think this last draft class will go down as one of the best ever for the Ravens (it will be hard/impossible to beat Ogden/Lewis) ... Orr is getting banged up from playing like a madman... It's going to be a great game... Go Ravens!!!
  3. Good point on the attitude... Every game is its own experience... Straight up tough with no 'I'm greater than tho' attitude. Bend, don't break and when an opportunity arises - take advantage of them. Go Ravens!!!
  4. Just goes to show you how difficult of a position cornerback is... a tough job on an island... Everyone else on D has many visual clues right in front of them i.e. other players... CB man-on-man... you can glance but you can't look. Even glancing can get dangerous for some receivers... Powers has been a godsend... A great new corner. Yes, if one is available at the right price... grab that guy. Go Ravens!!!
  5. I am so happy we got Weddle. He's the closest thing to Ed Reed in the league. I hope we are able to keep him around till he no longer wants to play. Go Ravens!
  6. Love Mosley for the play but hats off to Powers for finishing the play. Playing like a Raven. Go Ravens!
  7. I wish Devon had worked out... nothing but a liability all year.
  8. Yes, Hester has to be history. We have carried him ALL season and nothing but a little bit of misery has come from it. Flacco and Marty ARE a good combination... they just have to get on the same sheet of music AND the game plan is Marty and he needs to do a better job game planning... I did not see us exploit any weaknesses but I did see us play to the Pats strengths... that was very disappointing. If we do make it in the playoffs, there is NOTHING in the game that we to go back too.
  9. How will you say joe is just average.. did he miss some passes yes but on the int Wallace looked like he was trying to catch a chair I mean it looked like joe shot 3 pointer how wide Wallace arms were.. breshad perriman had some nice catches but also missed a pass which was drive killer because he was being lazy wasn't ready for the ball. He's a first round pick he should always expect to get the ball and never look surprised when it's passed to him Receiver's aren't being lazy - it's a product of the play calling - the play was called to go to a specific receiver, which is what happened and 9/10 when they come out of the huddle Joe is locked on 1 receiver. The only time he's not truly looking for 1 receiver is when they run the hurry up. Are you kidding not being lazy on the hot route perriman didn't even raise his arms up to try catch the ball Yes, P-man messed up making a 'rookie' mistake... he should have seen that he was not covered at the line of scrimmage and just should have looked back at Joe ... not wave... not yell... just a quick look and then should have been looking for the ball at the snap... 'rookie' mistake. I WILL say that I was happy Joe saw the breakdown in coverage... small plus
  10. I really thought we had pulled it together... that was a pathetic display of Raven football... It was obvious they were playing the pass but we refused to run... instead we kept getting the ball back in Brady's hands... It was not the oline... it really was not the WRs (one or two drops)... but every other aspect of Raven play was real bad... the game planning against Pats weaknesses? none. I thought we had it together. Sad.
  11. I like and appreciate Foxworth's comments. I was the happiest fan on the planet when we finally got rid of Billick. I had no opinion about Hardball for the first year but have become more of a believer each and every year. Even after last year's most difficult season. He is a solid character and believes in those around him. That's called getting the best out of everyone. That is how your team can be the best. I have to give credit to BestFriendofBaltimore Mr. Steve B for having the intelligence and insight to make such a critical business call. Proud to be a Raven fan. Go Ravens!!!
  12. Cowboys will always be my #1 Disliked Team I don't like that NE has had a relatively easy division all these years that gave the home field advantage... but then again they were good enough to win and the other sucked bad enough to lose... anyway. Yes. No matter what anyone says. This game has the same resonance as a Squeeler and Raider game, There are not too many out of division rivalry games but that has the history. They should be utilizing in-house media to create weekly 'history' films for players to take home and watch... Nothing extensive... 1/2 to 40 min video... work with coach to develop messages... Going to be a great game... Go Ravens!!!
  13. I hope everyone is ready for some great Raven football. Now that Marty and Joe are on the bus with special teams and defense... We got a full tank of gas... This is going to be fun. Go Ravens!!!
  14. When it comes to the O... Look, we could all see it slowly coming together over the last few games but the communication between Joe and Marty just was not there until this prior week. Whatever was said - improved communication. I am convinced these are two quality minds working on making the O a success... This is going to be a fun FUN run of football... I feel it in my bones... Look we all know we needed a bit more out of QB and OC... the trick was getting them on the same page (Kubiak & Joe is proof)... we are there now and we are even better than when Kub was is in town because we got even better WR talent. This is about to be some banging football. As far as running the football goes... yes, we do but what we need is good game planning... good game planning against Miami is NOT running focused game plan. That would have doomed us... I also don't think Joe thinks it is about "Joe'... No, it about being in sync on what competitive is and what it is going to take to get there and what we are capable of doing against their strengths and weaknesses... but it starts with these two connecting... Marty and Joe = Game Planning... I think we got 'game planning' now and the NE game will shine through. Go Ravens!!!
  15. I have been a fan of Webb since I first saw him on the field... I do believe his ceiling at safety is very high. I'm a firm believer that he has a very high football IQ. My only complaint is he is too humble. This is a tremendous person and talent. Yo Webb, let it shine through. You're holding back something but you don't need too. This position fits you like a fine suit. Become what you can be and have always been - Incredible. Like when Ed was on the field... you knew everything was possible... and I know you know what Ed did to be that damn good. Go Ravens!!!
  16. @RyanMink - I like your work but I gotta disagree with you about P-man. He just needs the ball in stride and in space and voila... Very close to a Randy Moss (IMHO - best receiver ever) type of receiver. Joe just needs to lead this man... don't get me wrong... Randy is unique but they both have speed and the ability to go vertical like nobody's business. We just have not pressed the issue (i.e. called the plays) like we did with Torrey. Nothing personal but P-man is better than Torrey. I'm writing this after the Miami game when the whole O came alive - including play calling/planning. We're on a role and I think you are going to see P-man come to prominence... coaches just have to understand what they have and how it can work... Wallace and P-man and so many more weapons... I'm stuttering with anticipation. Go Ravens!!!
  17. Enjoyed the article as always... Complete game from the players but the offensive game plan and calls were also well done/executed. I heard there was a little friction at the QB/OC mtg and you know what? I think we are on a better page. I respect both of these minds but they needed to connect and I think they just did. The key to our O's success goes through Joe. The key to Joe success is play calling / planning... Kubiak is proof of that... I think Marty is the RIGHT answer but w/o a doubt they those two needed to get on the same page... you could kind of see it happening gradually over the last couple of games but this was a breakout game for both. I thinking SB bound baby. SB bound cause our offense just found itself and I trust Marty and Joe here on out. Go Ravens!!!
  18. Tucker is awesome. Worth every penny. Also, I love the fact during the SB celebration after the win, he took the SB trophy to his hotel room in NO to have a personal celebration with himself, wife to be, and the trophy. Rookie steals off with the SB trophy. Being a kicker myself, been a big fan of his from day one. Go Ravens!
  19. I don't like these games and I think they are stupid. I hope if we get stuck with it then it counts as an away game.
  20. I agree with those four points but I would add that our offensive play calling has yet to find the appropriate rhythm. We see flashes of it but it is still just a hair away from being consistent, unpredictable and targeted. So close I can taste the SB... Go Ravens!!!
  21. The Huff block was fresh. Loved it and glad no one got hurt. Go Ravens!
  22. Ryan is right This game is going to be won in the trenches and I LOVE our D trench. Dallas D does not win games... the O does... Our D can and does win games but our O is now beginning to click... Joe's pissed. Go Ravens!
  23. Yes, They were both special and will be HOF... Still, a void filled with 32, 57, 78, 98, and more... we got talent
  24. Excellent article. Watching those highlights ... I will have this smile for hours... I feel good about the outcome of this game. Go Ravens!
  25. Awesome. Enjoy! If you have not been to M&T Bank Stadium... it is bad@butt. Simple in its design and excellent function. Timeless stadium in which they are constantly upgrading. The TWO main boards at each end of the stadium fantastic and the sound system is loud and clear. Could use more Beer choices but otherwise I love this stadium. I'm also a bit of an environmentalist and It was the first LEED Gold Star stadium. That is one thing AT&T stadium can't claim. If you ever make it back, check it out.
