  1. Let's revisit this at the end of the year shall we? They've just played a tougher schedule thus far and still have a better record. I've seen most of their games in their entirety and they are a much better team than us. They still have the best WR and RB in football and a borderline elite QB. I hate the Steelers as much as anyone but they have clearly surpassed us. They're a team with enough talent to make some noise in the playoffs. So what happens if we beat them? Maybe we aren't as bad as we seem.
  2. That is great insight. Now what iff the defense held the in 3 of the 4 losses. We would be talking about Joe's game winning drives in those games. Chill out.
  3. "Bring back Ray Lewis" What does this mean? As a coach?
  4. with the way the front office has drafted these past 6 years i would not put a rebuild in ozzies hands I feel Ozzie is over rate, the Ravens have very little home grown. He has never drafted a quality wide receiver, look how other teams have late round excellent receivers. Why is it that we either cut a player or won pay some other. Then they go on to other teams and have good careers. Does Jeff Saturday ring a bell. There so many others. I feel the front office and scouts need to be replace. "Then they go on to other teams and have good careers." Check again dude. Not really.
  5. Tell me what you want him to say? Seriously, what should he have said other than what he did? "If no one is going to take responsibility" What does this mean? He's taking responsibility. We need to look at ourselves, because we, as a team, are not getting the job done. That's taking responsibility, no? Or do you want Harbs to start blaming people, publicly, for each issue. That's how you sew locker room dissent. I seriously don't get what you want of him.
  6. Shouldn't have mattered. Orr took an awful angle.
  7. Because real fans try to figure out WHY Joe is struggling, why the team is struggling, instead of just blaming. Nobody is denying that Joe is playing poorly. Nobody. He needs to play better Dude won us a Superbowl, and don't tell me that was all Ray. It wasn't. Ray had nothing to do with the offense. Harbaugh barely did, and Caldwell barely did. You know who ran that offense? Joe did. If you odn't see that, then idk what you're watching. So if he's playing badly now, WHY? It can't be "just because" out of nowhere.
  8. Roger that, Palm Bay.....Its time for a Raven Revolution. Lets all round up the stale, old purple kool-aid and go dump it in the inner harbor. We are tired of it. Picket signs ?...... This past Sunday was the best time to sit Joe, given his recent shoulder issue. With this week off it would have been a great time to rest Joe before Pittsburgh. With the Jets being a supposed bad team, why was Mallett not considered ? I believe that the brass is more concerned about a qb controversy than actually having a chance to win the game. Because Mallet sucks.....watch the Hard Knocks season - that's the guy you want as your QB? lol. There is a reason he's been dumped by 2 teams already. Which doesn't say much then if he's our back-up - another well thought out succession plan by the FO, huh? It's not a succession plan. Mallett isn't the "heir apparent" to Flacco. We don't need one of those for another 2-3 years when Flacco's contract dies down. He's a backup. Someone who can win when called upon, talented, but isn't dependable enough to be the starter for more than a year.
  9. Agree 100%. All these Flacco apologists. This guy was always bad. He was carried purely by a great play making defense from day 1 when he became a starter. He played great in the 2012 playoffs. That's the rare time that he was good. Can the Oline be better? Surely Ozzie blew it once again. In the FO thinking, you can't have 2 great oline men because it would cost too much, so they signed Yanda and let KO walk but gave a below average QB a record deal. But they expect a great performance from the line. This FO is not what it's cracked up to be. I think they pat each other on the back when they meet. Ugh! He played Great in the 2014 Playoffs and scored 28 points against your vaunted Patriots, so get your facts straight or find aanother team to root for. When he is benched I hope you find another team to root for. Here's his stat since 2012 65 TDs 52 Ints; when you remove the so called 2014 season he has 38 TDs 40 Ints In the meantime he has had 2 $120M + contracts Some people don't like facts they just like talking out the side of their necks! Actually you have not provided any facts other than that Flacco scored 28 points in the 2014 AFC championship gave against the Patriots. The other fact you don't have is that he threw a costly int on the final minute of that game. You and I who is going by facts or emotions? You Forgot to say that the defense sucked and couldn't hold a 21 point lead, and 2 14 point leads. I'll agree on Joe not coming back late in games if you agree that the Defense didn't hold leads in 2014 and 2016? How can you say Joe doesn't come back late in games? Ravens vs, Raiders 5 minutes left in 4th Quarter, Joe leads team to Touchdown to take lead. Defense blows it by letting Crabtree score. Joe drives team down to set up winning FG - throws a perfect pass that hits Aiken in the numbers that he drops. He catches - we win the game. 2 game winning drives in 4th quarter. Ravens vs. Redskins 2:33 left in 4th quarter, Joe leads team from own 17 down the field for game winning touchdown to Perriman. Perriman doesn't get feet down. Wallace drops 1st down ball to keep the drive alive. Ravens vs. Giants 5 minutes left in 4th quarter, Joe leads team to Touchdown to take the lead with 2 minutes left. Defense gives up score to Odell. Joe then drives team down to Giants 24 but comes up short. The way I see it, Joe won 2 of those games, the defense gave away both of those. Thank you! People just look at the end, but you're right. Joe WON those games. And don't forget Harbaugh's gaffe not taking the penalty. Not just the defense's fault.
  10. "If I can see it from home then he has to see but he never audibles and goes with the play that's called..i don't understand it." You have a MUCH different perspective than him. You can see stuff that he can't just because you have a top view. "If I can see it then he can see it" is wrong. I agree he needs to do better pre-snap. Whether that is the fault of coaching, gameplan, or Joe straight not seeing it is another question.
  11. Kick rocks the Ravens are known for their drafting around the league! Because Joe can't finish drives do not go after Ozzie and Co! Nope Nope Nope! I'll give Stanley the benefit of the doubt and project him to be an impact player(hopefully) CJ Mosley, Yanda, Brandon Williams(maybe) and KO who took the Raiders money(as all players should.) I may be missing a player or two but give me the REAL IMPACT Players we've drafted since 2009, NOT the ROSTER FILLERS as we have far to many of them. Your turn. Every time we do get some body impactful after their rookie contract is up they go else where? and then how productive are they after they get paid? How many comp picks have turn into players? Look beyond the present.
  12. Look at the salary of say the top 15 QB's and then look at the drop off in talent after that. Tell me who you think we should have as a Qb with what you would be willing to pay them. Because if Flacco didn't get that contract from the Ravens he would have gotten it from another team then we would have one of those bottom tier QB's. Is he playing to his potential, hell no but he's got no offensive line whatsoever, he's either getting hit or pressured on almost every pass, he's coming off an ACL surgery (see point 1 again about not having any protection), receivers are not getting separation and when Joe finally does make a good throw these guys can't catch!! Two deep balls hit Perriman in the hands and (1) he drops and the other doesn't get his foot down. At this point he's a disappointment - 1 catch against the Jets and then disappears. http://overthecap.com/position/quarterback/2016/ I could not agree more that Perriman is a bust. He has no strength where is the speed db push him around block him out no football extra skills just run is all he does? He's essentially a rookie. There's still a lot to learn, and a lot to coach. But, you can't teach speed.
  13. Or you could actually run the ball and use play action. Imagine that.
  14. They shouldn't have kept Hurst and they should have gotten a backup center. But did well to draft Stanley AND Lewis. FO acknowledged that they were unhappy with last few drafts, and then hit on several picks in this draft. Not time to move on just yet.
  15. "they could design a few roll outs or half roll outs" like we used to do with playaction....have to run the ball to do that. 12 attempts won't cut it. "and oh yeah, bring back JOSH JOHNSON,if only to run the ball a bit." That's a waste of a roster spot. You're going to take away a special teams player/depth LB or CB for a 3rd qb and some gimmick plays? No.
  16. "Would have been nice to have Jalen Ramsey back there because we got nothing out of our first and third round picks, which would have gotten us Ramsey. " Just stop with the Ramsey comments already. Just stop.
  17. Then that's a problem with the QB. Idk how long people will give Flacco excuses. A good QB makes plays even when the odds are against him. I honestly don't know any other way to explain it besides saying Flacco has been consistently getting worse. He has no fire, no leadership, we are in a bad spot. If I was an advisor to Ozzie Newsome we would not be in this position we are in now. This isn;t something that happened overnight, this is the result of years of poor tweaking and decision making by Harbaugh. "He has no fire, no leadership, we are in a bad spot." That has nothing to do with it. When Flacco gets pressured up the middle he gets happy feet and throws poorly (not making excuses, pointing out the fact). It has nothing to do with his leadership or "fire" and everything to do with his tendencies and shortcomings, Zuttah generally sucking, and Flacco/the offense's inability to make reads and adjustments pre-snap.
  18. ok, leave. If you're that easy to leave your team then leave. We don't want you. I've never seen a fan base blow up over 3-3 like this before. Freaking chill out.
  19. You just said "Mike Preston" and "credibility" in the same sentence...wow.
  20. Mostly right, but how do we know we need to trade up if we don't know our draft position yet? Quite possibly could stay put and get that player without giving up picks. Too early to tell. I generally agree that we don't need to trade back.
  21. They only need to be ashamed for keeping Hurst because he is truly awful. If they had kept almost any other backup T they would have been fine to deal with some injuries for a few days.
  22. "We could have had Ramsey which would have shored up our secondary and since Stanley has missed half his games and Kaufusi hasn't even played in one, we should have known. " How should we have known? No seriously, HOW? How did you know Stanley would hurt his foot and Kaufusi would break his ankle? Injuries are just an unfortunate part of the game. And for young guys with little to know medical history, there is know way they should have or could have known. Stop it with the Ramsey comments. He's a sassy punk anyway. I agree on Wright and Webb to an extent. Not great so far. I agree with our second round picks needing to produce, to an extent. They weren't expecting Orr to play as well as he has at ILB. That's why they were training Correa at that spot. So he could start, as you said. now we don't have to. So he has to develop as a pass rusher, which may take time (Look at Shane Ray in Denver as an example). He has motor but not hand technique, which was noted when he was drafted. That part is going to take time. So for now he is our ultimate backup for ILB, OLB, RUSH, and Special teams, which is an important position to have, because of all injuries and having veteran players.
  23. Stop it. Please. You're exposing yourself. You're afraid the Ravens will play better and smoother! Joe is our Tony Romo I'm sorry to say it but look at them cowboys now! You are afraid the Ravens will bounce back the same way! It's not even the same situation. You're so off base. Tony Romo can't stay healthy for 16 games. He can't do it, no matter how good a leader he is or how well he throws. They NEED to move on from Romo because he can't get you through 16, let alone 19-20 games into the playoffs. If your goal is to win a Superbowl, that is unacceptable. Flacco, although he's coming off an ACL and an MCL, generally speaking stays healthy. Dak is really freaking good (or at least he is now until they have a year of tape on him), and I'm a fan of him and Zeke. He's mobile, accurate, and has the same kind of ability to escape the pocket as Romo. But the reason he is in the position he is is that he is healthy and young enough to stay healthy. Mallett has started in this league before. He isn't amazing, but good. Definitely a really good backup to have. Remember when he had a shot to be the Texans QB and blew it? (No, you were too busy Flacco bashing probably). He was SO immature through that whole ordeal and didn't play great even though the job was sitting there on a silver platter for him. Who'd he lose that job to? BRIAN HOYER. I think he's grown up some but I don't think he's starter material. And by the way, do you forget THIS PRESEASON when people were clamoring for us to keep Josh Johnson instead of Mallett. Really? That's who you want to replace your Super Bowl MVP QB? You realize that if the defense held for 1 drive last week, the week before, Flacco would have been credited with driving the team down the field for a game winning drive. We've been in position to win, and the defense has blown it. So now we're asking Flacco to engineer 2 game winning drives per game. Percentages are gonna catch up to you. And the truth is, if Harbaugh would have taken the points we probably wouldn't even be talking about ANY of this because the ravens would be at least 5-1, with Flacco leading 2 game winning drives capped off by field goals.
  24. "since it would take HOF players at each position on the line to effectively pass protect this scheme." I think you're exaggerating. Let's start with getting our original two starting tackles and reevaluate...
  25. I hope he's practicing on the kind of block he missed last week down at the goal line. Run up field not 5yds sideways! The #1 rule Ray Lewis taught Ray Rice! You're right except that it was a toss sweep. It's supposed to go sideways.
