  1. The money given to Hester has very little effect on our cap space. 1.1 dead money THIS year. None next year. That money would have gone to another returner if not Devin, so it wouldn't even have been carried over. So we didn't waste any cap. Watson only has 1mil dead cap next year. Neither of those players have anything to do with cap money deeded for Williams.
  2. maybe cuz he's plays at SD state. Comparing this guy to SSS. LOL. 4.4 speed for the NFL, big deal. didn't even look that fast on film either vs bad competition. That would suck if we spent a third on him "4.4 speed for the NFL, big deal." Elliot ran a 4.47. just saying. Dixon ran a 4.58 for comparison. Yea but Elliot weighs 55 pounds more than Pumphrey and Dixon weighs 45 pound more than he does. They have him listed at 170 now and that of course isn't official. Im not sure if players get measured in the Senior Bowl or not but that would certainly be a more accurate number. THIS is a good reason why not to draft him. 170 pounds is pretty slight. But 4.4 speed for a back is good, that shouldn't be questioned, nor should we ever look at a running back and say "Man, he only runs a 4.4. Not worth it."

  4. Very likely. Apparently they've been meeting with him a lot. If the pieces fall that way, it very well may happen.
  5. "Ko,Yanda,Flacco,Grubbs" More than that. Brandon Williams, Juice, Wagner, mcPhee, Oher, Grubbs, Leron McClain, Jarret Johnson, all the young players including Tavon Young. And a bunch of other players who, while perhaps were not stars, played roles on our teams. I wouldn't call them busts....
  6. I think he's getting mocked to the second round in most mock drafts.
  7. When is the last time we drafted 11 players and "end up cutting 7 of them."? Answer: NEVER During the last 4-5 years, all or nearly all of the draft picks have made the 53 man roster. This guy just likes to bash Ozzie and is blinded by hate. Our team is made up of low round picks that have made it. 5th-7th round picks sometimes don't make it, but they were risks anyway. We've had some high pick misses, but those guys still make the team for like 3 years. So I don't know where this guy gets his numbers from, but it's obviously because he's just pissed off about nothing.
  8. "Because we so valued Bronson Kaufusi we couldn't get Ramsey" Wrong. Because we valued the 3rd round pick, which could have been anyone. He didn't know they would get Kaufusi, specifically. Your logical steps are backwards. Ozzie didn't want to pay a premium (and extra pick) because Jerry Jones thought we were taking their guy, when we weren't. If you wanted to complain that maybe we didn't take Javon Hargrave or Fuller in the 3rd that might be a more acceptable complaint. But what you're doing is analyzing with your 20/20 hindsight glasses on instead of looking at it "in the moment" "similar situation with Clinton-Dix" Wrong, we picked Mosley in that draft. Stud pick for a need position. Ha-Ha went 4 picks later. Ha-Ha has been good, but not amazing. I suppose you mean we didn't take him because we "already had Elam". Hard to tell, but Mosley was obviously ranked higher on the board since we picked him and not Dix, especially since we were obviously still looking for a safety and took Brooks at 3. "If we got off of two picks that amounted to nothing in the last two drafts" Wrong. Mosley didn't amount to nothing. Stanley didn't amount to nothing. Kaufusi, again, is nothing as long he is injured, but that's not nothing completely, nor is it nothing forever. You can't predict injuries with no injury history.
  9. "ultimately he didn't give any indication where he can play and be effective." It seemed like they were liking him at ilb, but Orr was just better. Team wasn't expecting it. Wanted to get Correa on the field so started working him outside. High learning curve for Correa, learning 2 spots as a rookie, when his really not a "smarts" player but an instinct/motor guy. Should do better this year.
  10. We've got the WR 1&2, we also have the OLB and RT as of right now. Quit being so pessimistic. We've gpot WR 1&2? Who do you consider starting caliber WR beside Wallace? Because I don't think at all that Perriman has proven himself last sesaon... The way things looked at the end of the season, I'd much rather go with Aiken than Perriman - but Kamar's all but gone. "Because I don't think at all that Perriman has proven himself last sesaon" We need to play our picks if we want out of veteran free agent cycle. If we want true impact FAs then we can't let journeyman guys take reps from our draft picks and money from our cap.
  11. Did you forget 2014? Yup, quick L, easy to forget. It was like playing musical chairs and being the first one to get eliminated because you lack real talent and a GM that can notice it. because you lack healthy corners* fixed that for ya....
  12. Food and Merch prices are high across the league, it's not specific to MTB. And yea, they are raising ticket prices after not raising ticket prices for 3, while doing renovations. There seems to be a 3 year trend. They last raised prices in 13, and before that in 10. Tickets have to go up sometime.
  13. Not in key positions, One must remember they wouldn't have made it to the SB without that fluke pass to Blodin. They also got some players from that squad still playing and are 4 years older. Added to that is the draft busts of recent years and it's adding up to a long playoff drought w looking none too promising for the future. "One must remember they wouldn't have made it to the SB without that fluke pass to Blodin." I don't remember. Can you tell me which pass was a fluke? "They also got some players from that squad still playing and are 4 years older." The only players remaining from that squad are Flacco, Yanda, Jimmy Smith, and Albert McClellan (and Tucker, Cox and Koch) " none too promising for the future." We were 1 play, 1 yard from beating the Steelers, who are looking hot right now. Open your eyes.
  14. "That comes from good coaching." No, that comes from Hall of Fame coaching, from honestly the greatest football coach ever to live. Pats are the exception, not the rule. Sure, you want to emulate what they do, try to learn. But to say our coaching is an issue because we aren't achieving what they are achieving is always going to lead to frustration.
  15. Are you kidding? Thats cuz Shareece Wright was on the team...for some reason?? And we don't want to get a shut down corner for some reason. At least Frazier finally helped create turnovers "And we don't want to get a shut down corner for some reason." "Not wanting" and "not being able to get" are two different things. To suggest we don't want one is silly. If we wanted one we would spend a 1rst or 2nd on one, or pay up in free agency You forget we tried to get Ramsey this past season. Who would we have gotten in free agency? Josh Norman? We aren't spending that cash. The only corner worth getting in the 2nd was maybe Mackensie Alexander who only played 3 games for the Vikings. The year before that we went after 2 offensive needs. And before that Webb was still considered a good CB2 and we were going after safeties instead. This is supposed to be the best CB class in a decade. If we don't go after one in this draft then you'll have a point. But to say coaches don't WANT better players, again, makes absolutely no sense. Just because they didn't get the players doesn't mean they don't want them.
  16. They'll not let Reed go. He'll be promoted to the Secondary's coach in Buffalo. Watch..... Reed was there because of Rex. The decision is up to Frazier. If he's smart he'll keep Ed.

  18. He also played well in his first 4 weeks with Lewis next to him. And played poorly after not practicing because of injury.
  19. Its his Rookie season. Give the guy a break. And how can you say hes not an Ogden at this stage of his career when Ogden didn't even play LT till his 2nd year. ogden also didn't give up a sack until his second year an that was 1 all of his second season but only gave up 26 for his hole career What point are you trying to make? This doesn't help your original point at all. Yes, we know Ogden was amazing.
  20. you weren't watching.
  21. It's not the bitter end until Harbaugh's balding. This year was growing pains. The fact no one called these last few seasons a rebuild mode doesn't erase the fact there are growing pains to be expected. Compared to last season, this season was much better overall. Yes there is room for improvement, but overall there is more to be content with that dissatisfied. 1. Address the CB need this offseason, no excuses. 2.Address the offense and get it locked before training camp opens, or it will be a repeat of last season going into a season just guessing what will happen. If this was a "rebuilding mode" year, then why didn't John use some of the lesser players to give them some play time on Sunday? The only thing this team is building is a sinking ship. You play to win the game
  22. "He was a winner in SF" (you're thinking of Jim Harbaugh) "and made Buffalo respectable on offense with Tyrod Taylor" They fired him this year, and then Tyrod played better.
  23. "but the status quo wasn't CLOSE to being good enough this year, so lets keep the same" Did we forget that Marty wasn't the OC at the beginning of the year? News Flash, he's not. We made an in season change. That is "not accepting the status quo" that is making a change. And how can you really judge Marty's performance as an OC if he isn't running HIS offense? He made do, and we almost won the division. and no, Joe doesn't want the stats. They wanted to put the game out of reach. The quote you are referring to, Joe was RIGHT. Marty WAS "giving him one" Joe just made the wrong read. WALLER WAS WIDE OPEN for a TD. Marty read the defense and called a perfect play to score right then. I think we should run more, and should have run there, but your logic behind that throw is just wrong.
  24. For a lot of games, the offensive line was a mess so Joe was trying to get rid of the ball quickly. This was part of the original trestman strategy. Other games, defenses were taking away the mid and deep routes. You should be mad we weren't running the ball more, not that Joe was throwing to the person who was open.
