I've heard various people say that if we trade away one of our TEs then that man should be Crockett Gillmore. To me that is madness.

Why in the world would you trade away a guy in his mid 20s who has flashed potential in order to hold on to a 35yo and a 31yo with a knackered hip? That is just dumb. Real dumb. Ben Watson and Dennis Pitta have no future in the game, Crockett Gillmore does. Why create problems for yourself further down the line(probably as soon as next season) when you don't have to? That's the sort of decision the Browns would make.

If anyone is leaving the TE room it should be Watson or Pitta. Or both. Those guys are the past. Gillmore and Williams should be our future.

Personally thought Gilmore didn't look at all good in the second preseason game.

awareness, catching, running and especially blocking all lacked what I'd expect of a Ravens to be honest

I love Forsett, but he is not the future, 28 and 30 are behind Joe. I am loving what I am seeing in West, and I almost think he purposely got himself out of Cleveland to try and get with us, but I love Dixon too. The issue here, is Buck Allen vs Taliaferro, who becomes the bruiser back?

West and Dixon as our two headed monster actually look like a really good setup, as for Allem and Taliaferro, not overly impressed with what they've shown but we've got three more games yet.

Didn't have anything to eat at the theater as I ate before I went like a smart person.

As for the movie, went about how I expected which was mixed.

The entire first half of the movie is pretty much a giant exposition dump which makes sense with all the new characters but is not done as well as it could have.

The villain is also not good. I mean I don't expect a great villain in a movie where the members of the suicide squad should be the draw(kinda like how Deadpool and Guardians of the Galaxy don't have great villains and are pretty standard plots) but the dancing in front of the "machine" that will kill everyone was a bit off. Pretty forgettable.

Was a bit disappointed in the Joker, just wasn't feeling it in the scenes he was in.

I did like most of the suicide squad when onscreen though. Wasn't as big a fan of Killer Croc but maybe they can make him better. Harley Quinn is great as is Deadshot and the other members were done pretty well too. Well except Slipknot...

I also found the second half of the movie to be better than the first half and the bar scene where we got some character development was good. Was missing a lot of that and overall the movie felt pretty cluttered.

I also liked the struggle to deal with Waller and Flag which was pretty fun. Waller was being a bit careless with that phone at the end with her fingers over a couple of the members which was pretty funny(not in a good way)

As for Batman, well he is hardly in it except to capture Harley Quinn and Deadshot, don't expect much. You would think Batman and Wonder Woman would have noticed that there is a giant "machine" being built in the sky and would have shown up, especially considering it had been there for 3 days before the suicide squad showed up apparently. They had time to do a mass evacuation of the city, I think they could have at least showed up.

Wasn't a huge fan of the soundtrack either as they must have paid half their budget on royalties alone. I mean I like the songs but the first 3 scenes all had some song going for them and it got old fast.

Overall I think there are some big plot holes, the first half is a bit of a mess, the villain is weak, and they tried to put too much in a 2 hour 10 minute movie. With that said I did like the suicide squad itself, especially Deadshot and Harley Quinn, and the action in the second half was pretty good even though I wasn't a fan of the villain. It wasn't a total fail and there are flashes of a good movie in there but they are nothing more than flashes.

I get the feeling.... That you didn't like the villain?

Someone can replace Chekov. Those actors can make good money if its done by HBO. So why not HBO pick up the trek series?

I'd be shocked if Simon Pegg was signed up to a TV show in the US not to mention the guy earns boat loads of money on stuff here in the UK, and he has a lot of commitments this end that he just wouldn't give up.

I'll stand by my opinion. But I really do like Bale. He was the right guy for his universe. Affleck in a series of more realistic movies wouldn't have super villains, cause he'd kill em all easily.  His version of batman wouldn't fare well in this one.

I prefer bale bale as an actor overall fwiw. Affleck is a much better director than actor

See that right there is why it's terribly difficult comparing Batmans.

I watched Suicide Squad last night and Batman convo came up after. Bale did suit the more modern Batman universe in his films and I think that's part of the reason I didn't like Bale in BvS is because I was putting him in Bales films which simply doesn't fit. Last night when Batman came swopping down on Deadshot I must admit I thought that same shot with Bales Bat wouldn't have worked. So a lot is to be said for the environment these Batmen are playing in.

    Watching Killing Joke tonight mind.

In regards to Suicide Squad, truly don't understand the hate. A visual treat and the soundtrack arguably one of the best in years for any film comic or not. Just the right dose of humour, generally a very good movie that certainly doesn't deserve the horrendous ratings it is currently receieving. Are people just writing bad reviews becuase that's the 'cool' thing to do?

Thats on Zack Snyder. He focuses too much on iconography at the cost of establishing scenes and real interactions, thats a common theme with his work.

I love comic book characters, now that's not to be confused with being a Comic book fan, I never really had comics as a kid, strict upbringing bla bla bla... but I've grown into movies and love the comic genre. So I do like the character that Batman is (I have read back storys etc...), I think Snyder poorly portrays him and I'm a little worried about Justice League, Batman should be the imposing figure in that film, and I will only ever watch a single trailer for films (too many desaturate the experience i've found) and from the teaser ive seen, it just seems like Affleck isn't that imposing figure, he could be any other guy.

For all of Christian Bales throat issues (couldn't understand him by the Dark Knight) he was an icon playing an icon, Affleck is just an Average Joe playing an icon and the comic book character is simply overshadowing Affleck . Generally I think you need to strike a balance between actor and character. Ironman, perfect (in Civil War and the 1st Ironman), Captain America perfect in all his films, Black Panther just epic, even Ant Man I loved all be it Rudd if anything overshadows the character slightly.

My point being is that in BvS, Batman is a nobody. The thing that saves that entire film isn't even in the name and that's of course WW.

Though Dameshek is known to be a Steelers fan and has bashed the Ravens before, you cannot argue with this listing.

The Ravens don't have those superstars on offense other teams have, but have a lot of solid situational guys.

If this was based off of the entire offense next season I would highly disagree. I think the Ravens would be around the middle of the pack around 14-16 until proven otherwise.

Based on the triplets I can't understand how people would argue that Amari Cooper & Latavius are a worse duo then our two is insane. Same with AJ Green and Jeremy Hill. I'm a bit surprised the Eagles are ranked so lowly, again sort of understand why, injuries and all that and still the Niners are far too high, if anything i'd have been happier with those two switched and us be above the Niners.

Another idea 2 Preseason games in Europe,Australia and in Japan. And 2 preseason games in the states 1 home 1 road

But Europe has got the International Series Games, because of that attendance at the pre-season games would be low. NFL didn#t really think when sending regular season games across

Why not side with the player?  When teams negotiate their being shrewd but players are selfish?  No it's s business negotiation.

So so why should he let the Chargers be an exception with a clear precedent set in these matters. ?

I get why people are jumping on the Chargers side, and whilst I agree that the players should still negotiate, if a team like the Chargers is doing the same thing with Bose that they have with every first round pick in recent memory (which is what is happening) then Bosa will need to simply accept these same terms, or request a trade if he's not happy with the Chargers offer.

Now don't get me wrong, in my opinion both sides are not handling this situation with much in the way of finesse, and there are points where you can side with San Diego and points where you can side with Bosa. Ultimately the Chargers haven't changed how they offer their contract, a new player, a rookie in many ways should accept this fact when entering an organisation who values you so highly. He will still be signging for a ton of money and he is getting the same deal 1st rounders before him have got. If he is truly not happy with the deal on the table and not happy with how the Chargers run things then he needs to request a trade and find a team willing to give him what he wants as I don't see the Bolts budging to be frank. They ar every much in the mindset "you get what everyone else gets" and can you not see why they are happy in that mindset.

As much as I agree that the player should negotiate, the team should also stick by their morales, all be it financially driven.

Was not happy with Suicide Squad.  Smith and Robbie were great, to me, but the actual movie...  not so much.  Prefer BvS.  Killer Croc... ugh.

Still not sold on BvS. Don't get me wrong didn't deserve the worldwide slating it got, but it was heavily flawed, most notably the ineffectiveness of Batman... seems to have one thing in his arsenal, freaking smoke grenades :/

I actually reviewed this movie in here sometime ago and I brought up that scene as well.  My main take away was that it was a movie produced to film some extremely awesome stunts, but I honestly think I could of come up with a better story line.

Yeah that scene was so misplaced but outside of that I enjoyed it haha

That shot with Dom in the shootout was so incredible.  I think True Detective is the only show to ever make me feel like I was in the situation, but this would be a close second for me, even though it was relatively brief.

Speaking of Dom... Grace Gummer is an incredible addition to this show.  She's so bizarre, but at the same time, I believe everything about here character because Gummer plays her so well.  Definite shades of her mom in her.

Everything is inter weaved so perfectly. The shots are immense, love the cast, love the direction, just love what this show can give us.

We're really feeling the drastic effects of recency bias. People are putting Dalton and Carr over Flacco which is a complete joke

In fairness he's not putting Carr over Flacco, he's putting Murray, Carr and Cooper over Flacco, SSs & Forsett. To be frank SSs and Forsett against Latavius and Amari, I'd take Oakland!?

The list is a mess mind so it's like we are arguing over who should be standing closest to the helm of the Titanic. The Niners are a massive red light and despite my misgivings anyone can see the Ravens have a much better set than San Fransisco...

I mean, I don't think SSS is the starting wide receiver (and one could make an argument for Pitta being in that role instead) and I'd be surprised if Forsett stayed the starter, but hey, the article is what it is.

Yup the triplet won't be that on opening day, even so whichever trio does start I still think will come out pretty weak. Here's to hoping Joe has a career year.

Yea I wasn't comparing it either, I guess I just was so excited for it.  I just thought it was so corny...just the way the story developed and all...

I had no excitement, no hope, nothing, so that helped.

dont get me wrong the plot was weak. There was no plot development, character development was non existent too, I hated the 'Keanu shooting in the air' scene, that should have never made the final edit.

That being said the extreme sports were shot beautifully, a visual treat that despite the films flaws made it watchable and actually enjoyable. The final test of the eight, as he was screaming how beautiful the wave was, I sat there agreeing to be honest haha.

I thought that movie was terrible....so bad to me.

Each to their own, forgetting the original and not comparing the final product to it I walked away happy with the prospect that if asked to watch again it wouldn't be a waste of my night.
