How many would join if I create a message board/forum for us to migrate to?

Wow. Not happy. Will not be engaging on FB or any other platforms because it doesnt allow for actual discussion. Just one or two lines of unsubstantiated, emotional garbage or "hot takes." Plus, i dont want to be bombarded with advertising while discussing the Ravens... But, i guess you cant really advertise on here and capitalize on the "engagement" so why bother. Im being unreasonable, but i dont care.

Wow. As a fan who left Baltimore in 2003 and found this community I can't say enough about how upsetting this is. Facebook has some of the worst 'Raven' fans.

Go see the freakout on FB about the Jernigan trade and you'll realize how much more stupid shutting down this message board is. This is about as close as engaging in the ways they want us to as they will get. By closing the boards, your shutting down THE major social community you have. Then the draft will come and it will be worse because instead of engaging in football talk about the draft picks, it will be random comments one after the other without any football talk at all. While having all the social media is great, shutting down one form of a community(message board) and having one less way to communicate with fans is terrible. You should be looking at ADDING more ways to communicate and interact with fans, not removing ways.

And with their 6th round pick in the NFL draft, the Baltimore Ravens select... Keeping their forums open.

Then we're done anyway. Same goes for most teams if the QB goes down. Least now we have a defense and potentially an oline that can help us compete.

I just want to say well done and thank you to everyone who has contributed on this part of the forum over the last few months. I know this is the best I've ever felt in terms of preparedness going into a draft and I suspect it was similar for many of you guys too. So I just thought I'd say well done for some of the rumours that we quashed, some of the players that we got behind, and that while we played favourites a lot, we've seen enough prospects and enough film as a group that we've been able to understand what the front office has done even though it disappointed some. This process is always a lot more fun when everyone's informed and when there are real intelligent debates over things seen on tape. So now that the draft is in the books I'm going to feel a little down despite being pretty happy with the overall formation of our class. Thanks guys, I'll miss this.

I'm a member there as well, but it doesnt have the same feel as this community. I like this group.

Hey guys, I know coming from someone with nearly no posts this seems strange, but I have been a daily reader of these forums dating back to 2011 and I've had a few different accounts here and there. I am currently a studying graphic designer, and me and my friend are currently producing a new forums page and I would appreciate it if you guys could check it out at launch, I know you will love it. I am working hard to duplicate it as close to these forums as possible, but adding a small point of my personal touch. I would hate to see this community fall apart, ranging from Biolizzard, to sami, and even wizards doomsday posts, I've learned to love this community just as much as my ravens. I don't want to deal with clueless Facebook fans, and you guys sure know your stuff. The launch date of the new forum will be May 5th. Apologies for the time, but as a student I'm extremely busy with finals this week. If you have any feedback or suggestions please just email me: forums@purpleflock.com ; this will be a well run and developed community. I only share this now to spread the word before the boards close. This community doesn't have to die. It will take some time to get to full potential, but I can ensure you a safe and efficient board with lots of room to grow. I didn't read all 19 pages so this has probably already been talked about, but unlike this forum it's impossible to have a civil discussion on the other social media sites. I'm not sure how it's possible to talk to other Ravens fans through Snapchat. You're allowed only 140 characters on Twitter and there are so many toxic fans on FB, it's not even worth it. It's not like it's dying either, I see the newest member spot gets updated all the time. I get times are changing, but some people like things to stay the traditional way.

I probably needed a push to get off of here anyways, but it couldn't at least go through draft season? Ouch.

Tim Williams is the new menace of this league. On THIS defense of all defenses, he is gonna be the most efficient 3rd down specialist. Remember when McPhee had the top pass rush efficiency with us? T will is gonna crush that rating every year on this squad, and he will actually get home, look for 10 sacks rather than 6. Might take him a year, but it's happening. I wanna order his damn jersey already but don't know if he's keeping 56!

As a foreigner looking in I can appreciate the Steelers - perhaps because they're similar in many ways. Tough, hardnosed, cold-weather football team in the same division as us. Don't get me wrong I get the whole division rivalry thing, but I can still respect them in a sense unlike the suspect cheaters from New England. An incredibly succesful team no doubt, but I've got NO love or respect for them. Just a descipable bunch of ... from the owner to the QB.

Definitely needed some more ST players. People don't realize the Ravens lost a lot of their best ST players- Juice, Huff and Elam (believe it or not) were two of the best ST players on the roster last year and they're gone. Clark has good field vision/tackling ability and seems like a perfect ST coverage guy. With Levine, Waller, Onwuasor, McClellan, Canady and now Clark- there's a solid group of ST players on the roster to aid with the last season's departures.

I just hope this guy realize the reason he fell in the draft. As Stephen a smith would say "stay off the weeeeeeed."

Not sure I see twill starting at strong side while bowser starts at ilb. Bowser strikes me as much more the starting OLB who moves in a lot, rather than starting ilb who moves out. But I'm splitting hairs here. This should be the best defense in the league, there is no reason not to think so and no excuses for us being any less than top 3, no excuses for blown leads either. This should be a championship defense, we need to just hope we work out some stuff with free agents and camp cuts for offense. Im very excited about this Team. This defense should look a lot like denvers SB defense
