Wow. As a fan who left Baltimore in 2003 and found this community I can't say enough about how upsetting this is. Facebook has some of the worst 'Raven' fans.

And PLEASE, I'm begging you, don't spoil the announcements. No matter what you see on Twitter, etc., don't post spoilers before the pick is formally announced on TV. PLEASE!

I didn't read all 19 pages so this has probably already been talked about, but unlike this forum it's impossible to have a civil discussion on the other social media sites. I'm not sure how it's possible to talk to other Ravens fans through Snapchat. You're allowed only 140 characters on Twitter and there are so many toxic fans on FB, it's not even worth it. It's not like it's dying either, I see the newest member spot gets updated all the time. I get times are changing, but some people like things to stay the traditional way.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank my fellow members for their insight and comradery over the years. I have truly learned a lot from many people here and have made a friend or two along the way. There have also been many, many characters on the boards through my time here and even though we didn't always agree, we always found a way to laugh and cry together. I'd also like to extend my appreciation to the Mods & Admins for putting up with jerks like me. It is a thankless job you all perform but, a much needed one to uphold the family atmosphere portrayed here. In closing, I just want to wish everyone a happy life filled with success and good health. Go RAVENS

ThinK this is absolute bollocks to be frank. How can a company making millions not afford a message board? Couldn't save that much money. I'd estimate 75 percent of hits on the br.com site are people that only use the forum. I haven't been on the homepage in about 3 years. I visit entirely for the converse with other members. I can't get that on Facebook snapchat or twitter. I give the br.com website 2 years before they realise it's not viable without the boards.

Carolina Panthers from New England Patriots- Carl Lawson, Edge So let’s get into the skinny Round One: Forrest Lamp, OG Yes. I have the Titans trading up a few spots. They think that we are going to take their target(John Ross) and we call them on their bluff, and get their second third rounder in the back-end of the third round. Leaving us with three third rounders. A good trade, because we end up with our guy anyway. You all know my thoughts on Lamp. He’s an Ozzie Newsome pick. Blue collar, works hard, smart. He could even step in at center, which could potentially give us an elite interior as soon as this year. Lamp is a guy I love. Other picks we could make. Derek Barnett- My favorite prospect for us. But I have a feeling that we are going offensive line. Corey Davis- if he falls here he might be BPA by default. Mike Williams- see above Cam Robinson-.... OZZIE I SWEAR TO GOD. Round Two: Takkarist Mckinley, Edge Takk is a freak athlete, who might fall because he’s a bit of a one year wonder. Remember how we all hated the Correa pick because a majority of his sacks were effort sacks? Yeah, Mckinley’s work ethic on the field might surpass that entirely. And has significantly better pass rush ability, with a multitude of moves to work with. He gives us a guy who puts in a ton of effort, and with that work ethic, combined with good hand usage, I think that he could become a damn good edge rusher for us at the pro level.... But wait. There’s more. Other options Sydney Jones- Would love him here Either Bama edge rusher- Ozzie... I’d be okay with these two. Fabian Moreau- Damn good cover corner with room to grow Jake Butt- A round earlier than he’s projected to go? Why not? Speaking of.... Round Three: Jake Butt, TE Are you surprised? If you were congrats. You must be the dumbest person alive.... Or Winchester. “Jake Butt doesn’t have that fast twitch muscle. Fat Butt(LOL, could you imagine?) and Fat Maxx!" I love Maxx going forward as the #1. I don’t trust Pitta as much, Boyle is moving to FB, and Crockett Gillmore got hurt as I was typing this. Anyway, Kim Kardashian(get it?) here is a classic catch and turn TE who’s got very reliable hands, is a good blocker, and a good route runner. I like Jake Butt and I cannot lie. You other posters can’t deny... Round Three: Shaquille Griffin, CB, Sorry rmw. I’m taking a page from your book and I wrote this on April 5th. Why did you hack my google doc? Smh Anyway. Griffin does a lot of things well, and is a jack of all trades, master of none. He’s not gonna be a star, but he’d be great depth.. and yes, that is a picture of Jake Butt beating him. I couldn't resist Round Three: Isaiah Ford, WR Ford gets a bad rap. The damn combine utterly ruined him and he doesn’t deserve it. He seems like he could be a much better version of Chris Moore. Which is a useful commodity as Moore isn’t a bad route runner. Just be happy that people put too much stock in the combine and the 40. I think he could be a day one contributer on the offense. Thank you Titans Round Four: Chase Roullier, C SCREW YOU RMW... You had to bring light to a player I’ve had under the radar. I made this mock weeks ago and frankly, you have to come and ruin my fun! Let’s talk about a mauler. Remember how I said Lamp could play center? Yeah.. About that. I think what we do is sign Mangold anyway, and then put Lamp at G. Which is the right move. Roullier is an absolute mauler, and it would do us some good to give a guy like him a year to develop. He won’t contribute immediately, but I think he could be a franchise center going forward. This would also force the coaching staff to kick Lewis out to RT, which I think he’d fare nicely anyway. Round Five: Tedric Thompson, S “But Lost, we’ve invested a lot at the safety position already. Why are we drafting one”. Because screw you, that’s why. That’s why. And this is a total homer pick. But I really like Thompson’s game. With Webb and Weddle as his teachers he could become a very valuable rotational piece going forward, or he could become the guy who succeeds them in a few years. He has good instincts in coverage, and frankly this would be a best player available pick. Round Six: Jahad Thomas, RB/WR “But Lost, We have pressing needs at DT, and ILB.” Screw that. Past 2 seasons we’ve draft Carl Davis, Bronson Kaufausi, Willie Henry, and have picked up Michael Pierce in UDFA. We’re fine there. And we always seem to find a good #2 ILB whether it’d be Jameel McClain, or Darnell Ellerbe, or finding Daryl Smith in FA. And I like Correa at ILB. Meet, Jahad Thomas. The homeless man’s version of Christian McCaffery. He has a rare cutting ability and can make video game moves. He can also fill in kick returns, play slot WR, and be a good third down back for when Danny Woodhead gets injured. He’s a guy I think could have a use on the offense, and frankly we could use that. Oh, and s/o to @-Truth- for pointing me in the direction of Thomas And that my friends(and @rmw10 I did not copy you I swear) is my final mock before the draft. Coming a little ahead of schedule? Oh hell yes. I’m busy. Hope y’all liked it. If not, either way screw you.

When all you have on the roster is Wallace, perriman, and unknowns, I tend to believe drafting a WR is a must. Well there's always the 2nd round

I understand that. We shouldn't have to agree with everything. I will use the term in situations like tonight, because, in the end all I'm saying is if they pick someone different than I wanted them to pick, it is silly for me to act like they made a tragic error given they've got a little more insight and experience in this than I do.

Takes more than time to get your hands on and lock barnett out. Hes incredibly proficient with his hands, knocking others away and hes really good at decreasing the strike zone by getting a step, turning his shoulders and dipping way down low. Plus speed/explosion does really help, but if you need a much wider arc to get to the QB; someone slower can get there sooner with more efficient steps. and thats what barnett does best -- bends, turns the corner and closes with force in just 3-4 steps. Even if his steps themselves are slower, he can still be much quicker than other bc they have to take 6 steps or more to get home and they have to cover more distance. And its hard to push Barnett beyond the pocket bc hes so economical with his footwork and turns that corner so tight. He makes it hard for QBs to even step up. I will take the L if Barnett doesnt pan out. But im 100% sold that he has an ELITE skill set and sufficient athletic traits. Plus hes very young so its no foregone conclusion he doesnt get bigger, stronger, faster and more explosive. Hes still got some baby fat on him. Hes barely 20. Very decent chance his athleticism becomes more than just sufficient and actually an asset. But the reality is there have been TONS of athletic freak rushers that fail, and tons of technique guys without the athleticism that thrive. Besides i dont see the lack of athleticism that everyone else sees. 40's are pointless for edge rushers. I think the 3 cone and short shuttle are more telling. Barnett: 6.85s 3 cone drill; 4.44s Short Shuttle (a Top Performer in the 3 cone, which shows great short area quickness/acceleration) Charles Harris: 7.47s 3 cone; 4.42 Short Shuttle; 4.82s 40 (barely better than Barnett; and Barnett was sick during combine) Tim Williams (whose athleticism is raved about ): 7.36s 3 cone; 4.57 Short Shuttle (both significantly slower than Barnett) Pernell McPhee: 7.13s Short Shuttle; 4.59 Short Shuttle; 4.93 40; 28.5in Vert; 107in Long (all worse than Barnett; plenty of athleticism to disrupt in the NFL) -- I mean - think about it - the 3 cone drill essentially measures how fast you can get to a QB. After tiring you out a little, it tests you quickly bending around an edge, then fully bending in a 180 around another before chasing the QB. Its NO surprise that Barnett was a top performer at the motion that most closely reflects rushing off the edge. Plenty of athleticism.

DRAFT DAY BABY!!!!! Man im excited. All the rumors and predictions will be exposed tonight as true or false. This is the most excited I've ever been for a draft and the deepest I've ever studied prospects. I cannot wait. Gonna be the longest work day ever. And heading down into the city at 5 to experience my first draft ever live in person. Bold prediction -- i get booed a lot for wearing my Ravens jersey. Maybe if i wear my Torrey jersey they given me a pass.

    1. If we're focused just on 2016, Pitta was just as much of a "hands guy" as Wallace, since their drop rates were the same and both were ahead of Steve Smith's. And I would also point out that he and Wallace were targeted almost the exact same amount, so there really wasn't much favoritism between the two. 2. The main reason why Joe targeted him on those throws is because Pitta was the open man. One main reason he's the open man is because he's sitting down in the zone BEFORE the line of gain. Defenses will gladly allow a guy to get open 5 yards from the LOS when he needs 8 for a first down... they'll give up that reception all day long. So while Dennis caught that pass, its still 4th down, which means we didn't accomplish that much. You could argue that its beneficial to complete that pass so maybe we're in a better FG position or punt position, but that's not exactly what they pay Dennis to do. Its not a coincidence that the complaints about throwing short of the line of gain revolve around "check downs" to the TEs and the RBs. You didn't see a lot of instances where we were completing passes to Steve or Wallace short of the line of gain, because they were running routes beyond that line and simply weren't getting open and/or Joe didn't aggressively push it down field to them enough, among other reasons. 3. I would also point out that, in terms of the percentage of receptions that lead to first downs, Pitta's was far and away the lowest number out of our top three guys (Steve and Wallace). Like a TON lower. So it tells us that he's catching passes, which is great and cute and all, but he's not moving the chains and his YPC numbers are abysmal, which means we're not getting much out of him catching those passes.

I disagree I think Ross was a 2nd round talent until he posted a 4.22. I think I would rather have Zay Jones and Cooper Kupp than John Ross. The offense's problem last year wasn't moving the ball. There were a lot of good drives. The problem was getting touchdowns on those drives. Seemed like the offense stalled inside the red zone and settled for field goals, or failed 4th down attempts. The offense needs some height and some bully especially after the departure of Steve Smith.
