"If you are not already engaging us and other members of the Ravens Flock on our Facebook page, Instagram account, through Twitter or Snapchat, we invite you to follow us on those channels and continue to participate in our social communities." Go see the freakout on FB about the Jernigan trade and you'll realize how much more stupid shutting down this message board is. This is about as close as engaging in the ways they want us to as they will get. By closing the boards, your shutting down THE major social community you have. Then the draft will come and it will be worse because instead of engaging in football talk about the draft picks, it will be random comments one after the other without any football talk at all. While having all the social media is great, shutting down one form of a community(message board) and having one less way to communicate with fans is terrible. You should be looking at ADDING more ways to communicate and interact with fans, not removing ways.

    1. Cleveland Browns: Myles Garrett 2. San Francisco 49ers: Marshon Lattimore 3. Chicago Bears: Jonathan Allen 4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Leonard Fournette 5. Tennessee Titans: Solomon Thomas 6. New York Jets: Jamal Adams 7. Los Angeles Chargers: Malik Hooker 8. Carolina Panthers: Dalvin Cook 9. Cincinnati Bengals: Reuben Foster 10. Buffalo Bills: O.J. Howard 11: New Orleans Saints: Taco Charlton 12. Cleveland Browns: Mitchell Trubisky 13. Arizona Cardinals: Mike Williams 14. Philadelphia Eagles: Marlon Humphrey 15.Indianapolis Colts: Derek Barnett 16. Baltimore Ravens: Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan Ozzie & Company give a long awaited jolt to the offense and also know they picked the BPA available. Davis is their highest rated WR and night one of the draft comes to a close with the Ravens brass feeling ecstatic about the pick. I think we got just a sliver of useful information out of the Draft Presser when Eric praised Mike Williams and John Ross immediately, while sneakily slipping in Corey Davis' name at the end. Davis is the the total package and in my opinion the best WR in the draft but his small school label combined with Mike Williams' stature is a recipe for for the Williams to come off the board first. 3 WR sets with Davis and Perriman on the outside with Mike Wallace in the slot could really be electric. Round 2: Baltimore Ravens: Carl Lawson, OLB, Auburn Round 3: Baltimore Ravens: Sidney Jones, CB, Washington Baltimore Ravens: Ethan Pocic, C, LSU

So your gonna judge his play against a senior tackle when he was a freshman!?really lol good one

Huh ... I find Barnett to be an unexpected entry on this thread. I have to think that, if he's available, there is a strong likelihood that you will be upset by our selection.

This was hard to digest when I first heard... He was such a great guy and player. It was obvious how much family meant to he and his wife Ashley. For something like this to happen to them is unimagineable. Especially as a result of your own actions... losing a young child has to be the most difficult and tragic thing that can happen to a father, when your instincts are to always protect them. Hard to understand that there's a reason or a plan when something like this happens... but I'll take solace in the fact that she is at peace and in a better place. Deepest and most sincere condolences to the family. Ravens Nation is shaken and feeling this loss... and I'm slightly comforted by the fact that she can look down and see just how many lives her father has impacted, and how many people are touched by this.

Pre-Roast Compliments. Will release ten each week before becoming the forum's most reviled poster. 1. @redrum52. Your name is murder backwards. Implying that you think that Ray Lewis actually murdered someone. LIAR. You are clearly not a supporter of this organization, despite having made it well documented, and despite having good opinions about the franchise. I don't agree with you on everything, but I generally like seeing your opinion. I like to keep people around me that have different opinions for several reasons, yours is probably one of my favorites. 2. @Ed_Reed20 You said that you would help me roast some foolz on the last day. Check your PM's after this fake roast fakeout. I have a few ideas. Good to have you back my man. Am looking forward to roasting some foolz with you. 3. @rmw10. Lindsey Duke is not as awesome as you are. Well, she's probably 50 times hotter(no offense), but I generally look for your opinions. Probably the most trustworthy person on the entire forum that I don't keep in contact with in my personal life. 4. @-Truth-. Nobody here can handle you. And your innate ability to win FA's has cost the Carolina Panther organization an entire draft. You single-handedly ruined a franchise. I'm obligated to compliment you because I'm terrified of what you're capable of. 5. @RavensFanMania: LOST IN RAVENS FAN MANIA UNITE. Always an optimist and helps keep me straight(same goes for @-Truth-) when I'm overly emotional about certain moves. That's a good thing. 6. @52520Andrew. I HATE YOU SO MUCH AND HOPE YOU DIE... Jk. Thanks for playing along with the joke for so long. I actually like you as a poster, so I'll go easy on you on the last day ;). Nah, you're not on the list. I generally respect your opinion and your general playfulness. Only reason I picked on you(because it was really @Inqui who rigged the order) is because I knew you'd be a good sport and play along. You a good man Andrew. 7. @usmccharles Thanks for talking movies and keeping it real. You and I have had some awesome conversations on this forum. 8. @Moderator 2- Sorry for being such a pain in the past lol. Glad we could work things out. 9. @The Raven- Yeah, you're on here too. Deal with it. One of the few opinions on the forum that I tend to trust. Especially with the oline. Keep it real my man, keep it real. 10. @Cville-Raven.... Hmmm.. I did not end this forum, it's not true, it's BS, I did not end it, I did not. Thanks for always quoting the Room and Star Wars prequels. Will contact you in the near future on general advice/to keep my sanity in tact. Will release another 10 next week. I'm gonna miss this place.

Just add 12lb of lean muscle and you'll be fine.

Why people should never overreact to overall numbers when reported. We got him for a bargain. If we're paying him more, that means he's playing well.

I think Boyle is being considered for juices old role, he fits the bill perfectly as a hard nosed road grader and good route runner who can catch. He may actually be an improvement. Allen would need a lot of coaching for that change, he wouldn't need to slim down much because it would take away from his powerful style, but it's an interesting concept, just a long shot. Wouldn't be against the experiment

I read it earlier. What an incredible story. As fans, many of us didn't know much about Konrad, but after the numerous stories that have come out after his death, it seems he was a really good guy.

I tried. 1. Browns - Myles Garrett DE - The Browns try their hardest to not mess this one up. 2. 49'ers - Jamal Adams S 3. Bears - Soloman Thomas DE 4. Jags - Leonard Fournette RB - Apparently me and every guy at nfl.com agree. 5. Titans - Malik Hooker S 6. Jets - Deshaun Watson QB 7. Chargers - Marshon Lattimore CB 8. Panthers - Jonathan Allen DT 9. Bengals - Reuben Foster LB 10. Bills - Mike Williams WR 11. Saints - John Ross WR - He jumps up boards cause of that 40. 12. Browns - Mitch Trubisky QB - Pretty standard picks at #1 and #12 as of late, but they do answer most of the Browns' problems outside of the curse that's on their franchise. 13. Cardinals - Ryan Ramczyk - Some reaches on O-line like always. 14. Eagles - O.J. Howard 15. Colts - Haason Reddick - His impressive workouts push him up, and someone puts too much stock in Derek Barnett's slow 40 times. I know it seems unlikely, but some of the monster workouts and load of great skill position players in the draft let this happen: 16. Ravens - Derek Barnett DE Barnett falls because scouts will see issues with athleticism, but the Ravens will have zero concerns. It's a flashback to 2003, and the team grabs a potential Suggs 2.0. 47. JuJu Smith-Schuster WR His tape shows a strong guy with some speed, and most importantly good hands. I think he's the type of WR we're looking for and can give Joe a reliable pass catcher. 74. Ahkello Witherspoon There are real concerns about his physicality on the field, and that makes him slide, because if it weren't for that I'd actually have Witherspoon in the mid-2nd. If that doesn't become an issue though, we get a very good defensive back with some serious length, speed, and room to grow. 78. Will Holden RT This might seem like a reach, but the guy was a 3.5 year starter at left tackle, and his athleticism issues wouldn't be as glaring at RT. We've done alright developing linemen we've drafted recently, and I think we can make him a starter on the OL.

I'd like to see Waller go back to WR, at least for some random looks. I think he could really shine if used properly.

Matt Elam is not eligible for the draft. As are players with out a pulse.

don't waste your breathe. Kelly didn't blow up his pro day so now we're going to have to hear him push Collins non-stop, regardless f how ridiculous his praise is.

I didn't see this posted anywhere, so I thought I would share it here. http://stories.baltimoreravens.com/heart-of-a-raven It's a really well written article about Konrad Reuland and how he donated his organs to Rod Carew.

I can't imagine what Todd and his family are going through right now. It's a shame that anyone has to go through this, but even more so to one of the most genuinely nice guys out there.

We just can't get a game where two prospects face each others and claim the one having the better day is the better prospect. If it was that easy then Shaq Lawson would be hands down more valuable than Tunsil since the guy obliterated our LT one year ago. I got fooled by such a 1 on 1 match up and made a big deal off it. I think we have to evaluate the prospects' traits more than the singolar performance.

Kind of hard to argue Ben is constant. Like most QBs, he struggled quite a bit and was very inconsistent his first 4-5 years in the league, and he definitely isn't putting up the same stats every year. Can even look recently... 2016 his YPA, YPG and completion percentage were all significantly lower than in the previous few years. Another fun fact people probably aren't aware of... on a per attempt basis, Ben turns the ball over more than Joe in his career.

THIS JUST IN. Pictures of the new Carolina Panthers logo have been released after the team has drafted absolutely no one through seven rounds, despite having draft picks.

If he plays at last year's level, that could be one of the best FA signings this year.
  34. 4 points
Per Zrebiec: Webb's new deal is 5.1m over 3 years, 1.2m signing bonus and up to 1.4m each year in incentives. Incentives include playing time with all tied to interceptions, fumble recoveries, punt return yards, etc.

I meant to do one of these after the Jernigan trade, but kept putting it off. I'll admit upfront that the third round gave me a lot of trouble since there's a ton of guys I see going in the late 2nd to mid 3rd range. The third round picks could seem optimistic, but I'm going with my gut reaction for who'll be there. And to start, the picks before us: Pick 1: Myles Garrett Pick 2: Jamal Adams Pick 3: Marshon Lattimore Pick 4: Solomon Thomas Pick 5: Malik Hooker Pick 6: OJ Howard Pick 7: Jonathon Allen Pick 8: Leonard Fournette Pick 9: Derek Barnett Pick 10: John Ross Pick 11: Haason Reddick Pick 12: Michael Trubisky Pick 13: Rueben Foster Pick 14: Marlon Humphrey Pick 15: Ryan Ramczyk Round 1, Pick 16: Mike Williams, WR, Clemson Flacco just seems to do well with physical receivers he can trust to fight for the ball in intermediate routes (Boldin, Mason, SSS, and Pitta for example), and that's exactly what Williams offers. Williams can step in, and be the Mr. Reliable on our offense that'll keep drives alive and help us finish strong with a TD in the redzone. He can also go deep and fight for those 50/50 passes. Even if he doesn't catch the deep pass, he'll make sure the DB doesn't get it. Williams, Perriman, and Wallace would be the best WR core the Ravens have ever had, and we'd always have a mismatch in our favor. Also, on top of that Williams brings big game experience that the Ravens seem to like. He's coming off of a 8 catch, 94 yard, 1 TD championship game against possibly the best defense in college football. Round 2: Pat Elflein, C, Ohio State Great power, great leverage thanks to a wrestling background, and played at a high level against top tier competition. Elflein is an immediate impact lineman that will start from day one, and possibly become one of the top ten centers in the NFL. I think he's exactly what the Ravens are looking for in a center. Also, since centers usually don't break the bank he could be a franchise lineman that starts for a solid decade or more for the Ravens. Round 3 (Eagles): Ryan Anderson, edge, Alabama My gut tells me that more athletic guys that can possibly get 10 plus sacks a year (Rivers, Willis, etc) leap ahead of Anderson in the draft and it causes him to slide further than he should. Stout for an edge rusher (6'2") and plays even lower giving him a leverage advantage when combined with his long arms. He has the ability to get pressure, and can set the edge well. He can basically be what we wanted Upshaw to become, and someone that can fill Suggs' spot as an every down strongside edge player. Also, funnily enough, the scout quote for his NFL.com scouting report is: "Size is more suited for 4-3 SAM but he could play some rush outside backer in a 3-4. He would fit Baltimore and Pittsburgh as a 3-4 SAM, too." -- NFC area scout. I really think Anderson, Rivers, Willis, or Alex Anzalone will be here and all of them could be a good fit. Anderson is just the best guy to take over for Suggs and the one I see potentially sliding to this pick. Round 3: Carlos Watkins, DT, Clemson According to PFF: "One of only four FBS defensive linemen with at least 40 combined pressures and 35 defensive stops in 2016." He's quick off the snap, strong, and makes full use of his long arms. He's the perfect replacement for Jernigan, and seems like a perfect fit for the Ravens. Round 4: Howard Wilson, CB, Houston Inexperience, lanky, and came out a year too early. But as I said before, he has all the traits you look for. I think in two or three years Wilson can definitely become one of the top five or six CBs from this draft, and can be a good starter. He just needs to be eased into it, and spend a year in an NFL weight room. Round 5: TJ Logan, RB, UNC One of the best returners in college football. He's got blazing fast speed and the ability to change directions on a dime. Gonna skip the 6th round since I really don't know the players that seem like they'll be available here. I guess a small school OT would potentially be good or another special teamer.

Weston Steelhammer is clearly one of the better names in this draft.

as much as i hate cam robinson as RT, as a guard, that's a different story altogether. He has KO like potential at guard.Him and stanley would be great together.

Carlos Watkins with one of our third round picks would be a day one starter and an upgrade over Jernigan, in my opinion.

Damn, look at those noodle arms. lol
  46. 3 points
if he played at the same efficiency as he did last year on only half the snap count it would still be a league-wide great value signing. realistically though, were talking about a savvy and smart, older and often injured db who plays every spot in the secondary, who is very familiar with the defense... putting him in a moving depth role literally eliminates his biggest shortcomings while emphasizing his upsides. on a per snap basis he should end up rated pretty high.

ohhh no. this is seriously sad to hear, i cant imagine the pain hes gonna be feeling for the rest of his life over this. such a good guy too. prayers to the family, sorry for your loss mr heap.

Are you seriously criticizing flacco for the td pass to Jones against Denver on 4th down, after have to step up into the pocket to avoid a sack from dummerville and the preceding to throw it 60 odd yards down the sideline (probably 80 when you take into account trajectory) that beat the 2 deep safeties? Ha Haha Ha
