Wow. Not happy. Will not be engaging on FB or any other platforms because it doesnt allow for actual discussion. Just one or two lines of unsubstantiated, emotional garbage or "hot takes." Plus, i dont want to be bombarded with advertising while discussing the Ravens... But, i guess you cant really advertise on here and capitalize on the "engagement" so why bother. Im being unreasonable, but i dont care.

Wow. As a fan who left Baltimore in 2003 and found this community I can't say enough about how upsetting this is. Facebook has some of the worst 'Raven' fans.

See my avatar? I am a Webb fan. All three members of my family have two RAVENS jerseys. Lewis and Webb. Most of you know why we all are such RAVENS fans. Click here to see why. Having met him a few times after that initial meeting, he was always super cool and classy. Good to my kid. Good to my wife. Good to his fans. He fought hard he played hard. He is what it means to be a RAVEN. He will always be one of my favorite RAVENS.

    1. Cleveland Browns - Mitch Trubisky, QB The draft opens with a surprise and the former Mr. Ohio goes back home to jump start the Browns franchise. With 5 teams before they pick at 12 who could potentially select a QB, they decide not to risk losing their man and pick him 1st overall. The fact that they went OL so heavily in FA gives me a sneaky suspicion that they love a QB in this draft. 2. San Fran 49ers - Myles Garret, DE/OLB They don't view any of the QBs as being the franchise guy in Shanahan's offense, so they decide to take the best available and suffer through a building year while waiting for Cousins. 3. Chicago Bears - Jonathan Allen, DT/DE 4. Jacksonville Jaguars - Jamal Adams, S 5. Tennessee Titans (via LA)- Marshon Lattimore, CB 6. New York Jets - Deshaun Watson, QB Hackenberg is not the answer, and with their top rated QB still on the board they pounce. Watson has the star power the move the needle in the NY market, and plays his best under the brightest lights. 7. LA Chargers - Malik Hooker, FS 8. Carolina Panthers - Solomon Thomas, DE 9. Cincinnati Bengals - Reuben Foster, LB 10. Buffalo Bills - OJ Howard, TE They're reportedly in love with this guy. Makes sense. 11. New Orleans Saints - Haason Reddick, LB Needing defensive playmakers everywhere, they take Reddick who can do so much for them. Chase ball carriers, blitz, cover TE's and RB's, and really get after the QB on passing downs. 12. Cleveland Browns (via PHI) - Leonard Fournette, RB And with their top 2 picks, Cleveland lays the foundation for what they think can be a championship caliber offense. Fournette takes pressure of their new QB early on, and behind this OL is the early favorite for ROY. 13. Arizona Cardinals - Deshon Kizer, QB The traditional pocket passer in the mold Arians likes. Big, strong, tough and can sling it. With a championship window still open and the fear of Palmer's retirement/injury history they grab Kizer who can develop for a year or 2 and take over to extend their window some... or step in to steady the ship in the event Palmer goes down. 14. Philadelphia Eagles (via MIN) - John Ross, WR CB is a glaring need, and RB is too - but WR is only patchworked by a couple of 1 year deals. Both Doug Pederson and Howie Roseman grew up in the school of Andy Reid who covets speed on the edge of his offense. Ross provides the playmaking ability and speed they need, and gives Wentz a young weapon to grow with. 15. Indianapolis Colts - Derek Barnett, DE Ugh, hurt me to do this. Almost got my guy to us. 16. Baltimore Ravens - Mike Williams, WR And Joe gets his big weapon. He and Perriman could become a scary WR combo. 17. Washington Redskins - Forrest Lamp, OG 18. Tennessee Titans - Corey Davis, WR 19. Tampa Bay Bucs - Dalvin Cook, RB 20. Denver Broncos - Cam Robinson, OT 21. Detroit Lions - Takkarist McKinley, DE 22. Miami Dolphins - Jabrill Peppers, S/LB Defending the middle of the field is their achilles heel. Peppers gives them someone who can contribute agains the run, but most importantly cover a zone over the middle, or match up man-to-man against athletic TE's and RBs. 23. New York Giants - David Njoku, TE 24. Oakland Raiders - Malik McDowell, DE/DT 25. Houston Texans - Patrick Mahomes, QB 26. Seattle Seahawks - Gareon Conley, CB 27. Kansas City Chiefs - Christian McCaffery, RB Andy Reid sees Brian Westbrook, but with more talent. McCaffery gives Smith a check down, safety blanket and causes nightmares for DC's across the league trying to figure out how to defend Hill, Maclin, Kelce and McCaffery all at once. 28. Dallas Cowboys - Obi Melifonwu, S Well, they once went to a freaky athletic UConn DB to help their secondary before.... with it depleted again they do the same. 29. Green Bay Packers - Zach Cunningham, LB This move allows Matthews to stay on the edge and do what he does best. Improves their run defense dramatically. Could go OL or CB here as well. 30. Pittsburgh Steelers - TJ Watt, OLB 31. Atlanta Falcons - Taco Charlton, DE/OLB 32. New Orleans Saints (via NE) - Marlon Humphrey, CB Round 2 - Tim Williams, OLB Round 3(a) - Tanoh Kpassagnon, DE Round 3(b) - Ahkello Witherspoon, CB Round 4 - Jordan Morgan, OG Round 5 - Harvey Langi, LB Round 6 - Treston Decoud, CB/S (Leaving work, have to grab my fiance' at the train.... will try to add descriptions and info for the later picks)

    1. Cleveland Browns: Myles Garrett 2. San Francisco 49ers: Marshon Lattimore 3. Chicago Bears: Jonathan Allen 4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Leonard Fournette 5. Tennessee Titans: Solomon Thomas 6. New York Jets: Jamal Adams 7. Los Angeles Chargers: Malik Hooker 8. Carolina Panthers: Dalvin Cook 9. Cincinnati Bengals: Reuben Foster 10. Buffalo Bills: O.J. Howard 11: New Orleans Saints: Taco Charlton 12. Cleveland Browns: Mitchell Trubisky 13. Arizona Cardinals: Mike Williams 14. Philadelphia Eagles: Marlon Humphrey 15.Indianapolis Colts: Derek Barnett 16. Baltimore Ravens: Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan Ozzie & Company give a long awaited jolt to the offense and also know they picked the BPA available. Davis is their highest rated WR and night one of the draft comes to a close with the Ravens brass feeling ecstatic about the pick. I think we got just a sliver of useful information out of the Draft Presser when Eric praised Mike Williams and John Ross immediately, while sneakily slipping in Corey Davis' name at the end. Davis is the the total package and in my opinion the best WR in the draft but his small school label combined with Mike Williams' stature is a recipe for for the Williams to come off the board first. 3 WR sets with Davis and Perriman on the outside with Mike Wallace in the slot could really be electric. Round 2: Baltimore Ravens: Carl Lawson, OLB, Auburn Round 3: Baltimore Ravens: Sidney Jones, CB, Washington Baltimore Ravens: Ethan Pocic, C, LSU

Kind of hard to argue Ben is constant. Like most QBs, he struggled quite a bit and was very inconsistent his first 4-5 years in the league, and he definitely isn't putting up the same stats every year. Can even look recently... 2016 his YPA, YPG and completion percentage were all significantly lower than in the previous few years. Another fun fact people probably aren't aware of... on a per attempt basis, Ben turns the ball over more than Joe in his career.

Per Zrebiec: Webb's new deal is 5.1m over 3 years, 1.2m signing bonus and up to 1.4m each year in incentives. Incentives include playing time with all tied to interceptions, fumble recoveries, punt return yards, etc.

I know many people don't do trades in mocks- but I'm all but convinced we trade back and acquire and extra 2nd or 3rd to give us extra ammunition since I'm thinking Barnett , Williams and Davis will all be gone due to the lack of qbs taken. Ross will not be on our board. I think we will be aggressive to an extent- but we have a lot of holes and roster spots to fill. A lot of people think we need to go all out and get Joe weapons- which we will get him some- but I think this will be a very defense heavy draft despite already making several defensive moves in FA. I think we saw how close we were to having a #1 defense last year- noticed our weaknesses- and will attempt to capitalize and add on to that so we can get back to the Ravens of old. We are going to have a solid defense across the board - with strong depth as well. I will say in this case we tradeback just a couple spots to net an extra third and still land our original target. 1) Tak McKinley- one of the top receivers would've been nice- but so is getting an extra third and still landing one of the top pass rushers to give us a heir for an aging Suggs. 2) Kevin King - many have him as a first round talent- and he's been moving up a lot of peoples boards lately. Great height at 6'3 and reads qbs well. Will be great competition for Carr or as an insurance policy if Jimmy goes down again. I think with all the ammunition we have in the third- we use one of those picks to jump back into the 2nd. 2) JuJu Schuster- as I said Williams obviously would've been nice - but Ju also fits the bill perfectly as to what we need- a tall possession type receiver. Some might not expect him to be around at the end of the 2nd- which is exactly why we aggressively jump up to grab him. 3( From Eagles) Taylor Moton- we need a replacement for Wagner and he actually ends up being an upgrade. This guy is like a freakin grizzly bear. Can also move to Tackle in a pinch. Great value here. 3) Rasul Douglas- we double dip at corner to make sure we get it right. Another guy with good height who goes after the ball and makes things happen. Turnovers win games and this guy will get us some much needed interceptions when he sees the feild. Big fan of this guy. 4) Carroll Phillips- double dipping at pass rusher is also a pretty good idea. We tend to do most of our best work between rounds 3- 5.. So hopefully this is another one of those late round gems Ozzie hits on. 5) Donnell Pumphrey- this is one of those guys I have a hard time figuring out where he will end up going. Could go anywhere from the 3rd to 6th...however I know he is definitely in our crosshairs as we have spoken and met with him more than any other back. He's a smaller structured guy but don't let that fool you- he can get it done. Broke Marshall Faulks yardage record and pretty much can do it all. I watched him on an ESPN draft special last night featuring running backs where he was on with Dalvin Cook and a couple of the other top backs in the draft- and he just puts off that future star vibe. He did very well in all the drills and my only worry is he's now on a lot of other teams radars and may get scooped up sooner. I believe I've included him in every mock I've done so far and I'm including him in this one. 6) this pick couldve went a lot of different ways -so I used the process of elimination. With the CB additions along with the signing of Jefferson you can pretty much say our secondary is set. I would say we could draft a safety here but with the recent resigning of Webb I think were very content here with Weddle, Jefferson, Webb , and Levine. LB was another option- however I get the feeling we have a lot of confidence in either Patrick Onwasaur or KC stepping up beside CJ Mosley. I've addressed the pass rushers already as I have us double dipping to go along with Suggs, Judon , ZDS, and Kafusi. The only thing really left is possibly taking a DT -double dipping at WR ( which we do currently have a lot of openings) or further bolstering the Oline. Any of those 3 would make perfect sense- the FO has addressed that the OL will be a priority- but I think we will eventually sign Nick Mangold and we also have high hopes for a few of our other guys such as Wesley and Nembot. I also think we will sign 2 vet receivers to go along with Juju - Wallace- Perriman - and Campanaro. One of which will be Boldin. So I have us leaning towards taking a DT. With Peirce and Bwill- we have a lot of size to stuff the run- but we don't have much interior pass rush. I think we attempt to take the highest rated DT on their board who knows how to get after the quarterback. I'm not very savvy when it comes to scouting players - so I'll admit I kind of just guessed here...Ryan Glasgow seems like he'd be a good fit. Being a guy from Michigan- Jim will give us the scoop on whether he's worth it or not- but he had a pretty impressive season as a senior with 4 sacks, 9.5 tackles for a loss, and a FF. However he's best suited for a 4-3 defense. That being said- there's always a few guys that fall- and Im gonna say we get lucky and Vincent Taylor falls in our lap. He's a sleeper but he's had 12 sacks in the last 2 years. In 2017 he had 13 tackles for a loss- 7 sacks and 2 FF.. He's got good size and is a good athlete who would give us some much needed interior pass rush. Guys like Brady and Big Ben; who are 2 of the main guys we will have to get through to take it all the way; easily avoid outside rushers by stepping up in the pocket. But time and time again teams have shown that pressure up the middle drive him and Brady crazy. Peirce and Bwill will stuff the run- but after the Jernigan trade we need a guy who is a threat up the middle. Slim chance he will fall to the 6th but certainly possible and IMO we will turn the card in quickly. In review: TAK MCKINLEY - DE KEVIN KING - CB JU-JU SMITH-SCHUSTER - WR TAYLOR MOTON - G RASUL DOUGLAS - CB CARROLL PHILLIPS - OLB DONNELL PUMPHREY - RB VINCENT TAYLOR - DT

David Johnson had 850 carries Le'Veon Bell had 671 carries Jay Ajayi had 678 carries DeMarco Murray had 759 carries

My avatar will remain Johnny U. While 6'2" 185 doesn't sound bad ... I'm also over 55 so I'll spare everyone the horror. My son started this account and I totally hijacked it. We shared it and I posted 10x more than he did. Balfan23 is his invention. I indoctrinated him into Baltimore sports (made a Ravens and Orioles fan out of him), but his passion has always been UNC basketball (he was raised in Chapel Hill) and he is graduating UNC next month. So - Balfan is for "Baltimore Fan" and I'll leave you to guess what the 23 represents (hint: ceiling = roof). I'm often too busy to post much and I've never been the most active moderator (my peer moderators have done most of the heavy lifting) ... but I'll still miss coming out here. The negatives were always far outweighed by the positives.

This would be an excellent draft but I'm going with the sentiment that jones doesn't fall that far. In terms of value pre-injury I don't think jones would be considered far behind Myles jack and jaylon smith, and with far scarier injuries they went top of the second. Jones should be back to playing in year 2 as if nothing ever happened, those guys may not see their second contracts. I highly doubt he falls like that, he may even go before our 2nd pick
