"If you are not already engaging us and other members of the Ravens Flock on our Facebook page, Instagram account, through Twitter or Snapchat, we invite you to follow us on those channels and continue to participate in our social communities." Go see the freakout on FB about the Jernigan trade and you'll realize how much more stupid shutting down this message board is. This is about as close as engaging in the ways they want us to as they will get. By closing the boards, your shutting down THE major social community you have. Then the draft will come and it will be worse because instead of engaging in football talk about the draft picks, it will be random comments one after the other without any football talk at all. While having all the social media is great, shutting down one form of a community(message board) and having one less way to communicate with fans is terrible. You should be looking at ADDING more ways to communicate and interact with fans, not removing ways.

As long as you bash Flacco in a Flacco thread, go at it 10 posts a minute for all we care. However, you absolutely littered the entire board, every single thread and now even status bar with the same and you complain about mods' bias?

Lol. I'm gonna come straight here when our first pick is a pass rusher

I hope this is true. I don't want to change my avatar...... for a message board that is closing....

ProFootballTalk is reporting that he and the team have agreed to a reunion for the season.

I'm not the biggest Ross fan, but I think some people are overthinking it a bit. Ross is a playmaker, and this team is really short on playmakers. Most people look at the 4.22 speed and think he's only a downfield guy but he can function in a lot of different roles as a WR. He's not the prototypical chains mover type but that doesn't mean he wouldn't fit here. Furthermore, Wallace is going to be here for 1 more year, Moore might have actually dropped more than he caught last year, and Perriman is still a work in progress that remains a giant question mark. There's certainly room for Ross even with all of the other "speed" guys we have. I'd prefer not to take Ross at 16 but I can't dismiss the possibility.

Literally only one person on this entire forum wants him
  8. 6 points
Fournette to Jags, Cook to Eagles. I could see the Saints taking him, but they really need defense. Also, the Colts really need offensive line help, So i can see them taking McCaffery

that's a bit of an asinine comment, i technically only joined last year but i've been on these boards in various ways for around 4-5 years... the time you've been a member doesn't lessen the importance of these boards to someone

Well thanks for all your hard work and keeping this place a good place to hang out.

Is Canady not a corner? Webb will provide safety depth.

I'd never accept that trade. Collins is an inconsistent, raw blocker that is injury prone. Sure he throws out some highlight reel blocks every now and then, but I'd much rather have a guy that shows up every play rather than only once in a while. Also I disagree about the oline class, the OT class is weak, the interior class is pretty damn strong. Lamp, Feeny, and Robinson are all, in my opinion, great guards from day one. And after them there are a lot of guys with lots of potential, i.e. Dion Dawkins and Taylor Moton can play OG or OT and we have always valued versatile linemen, Dorian Johnson is another potentially good OG from the start. Interior line class is fine, gets a bad wrap because of the weak tackles. We can sit back and take a lineman that is just as good as Collins right now considering we could very well have our pick of the entire class. Not to mention the Cowboys will not trade their starting LG, they shopped Collins last year while they still had Leary, not the case anymore, they value their line obviously and won't let it take another step back. The rest of the draft is fine, just that trade is ridiculous. And I'll be your daily reminder that we aren't taking Chad Kelly and he's not a HOF talent.
  13. 4 points
Collins is coming off an injury and technically in a contract year (RFA next season). Plus the Cowboys need him since Leary and Free are gone. So that won't happen. Lawson is a decent value pick in Round 2, but I expect he'll be gone by then. Same with JJSS, but if he's there in the third I think he's a good pick up. Would love Sutton or Elder in the 3rd think both are gonna be pretty good. I'd take Elder over Sutton at this point because I think Elder would be a good returner. Haven't watched much of Morgan or Jones, but wouldn't complain about either depending on the board. Chad Kelly is going undrafted.

I mean unless I'm misreading your board I sprint up there to grab Barnett at 16 and am happier for it.

    You have done that yourself.
  20. 4 points
Yep. Lack of athleticism didn't play anymore at CB, but you can get away with it at S. He's always been a smart and disciplined player, and that's why he was able to rebound.
  21. 4 points
Would be difficult to sign Swearinger, given that he's under contract with the Redskins... And depth players are mostly average players by definition. If they were significantly better than average, then they probably wouldn't be depth... they'd be starters. Feel free to point me in the direction of a team that has a really good third safety. There's more teams that don't even have one good safety than there are teams with 3 good one's.

If he goes top 10, I'll be stunned. Honestly, if he does and at least 2 QBs are also taken ahead of us, I'll be pleased. That just pushes some of the tier 1 defensive talent down to us.

So when FilmStudy would routinely direct his thoughts to RSR LONG BEFORE it was announced that this forum was shutting down, where was the profit? I tell ya, some folks are just miserable.

I hate to sound mean or nasty but this is just horrible! Not everything can be measured by numbers, statistics, and analytics! We are probably the most loyal Ravens fans in the world. You can't measure loyalty! The world is changing but yet we are still here so as a reward, the decision makers are saying "heck there's not enough of you left so let's kill this" i personally read every word on the news and Ravens talk boards! Every one! And I didn't even do that studying for finals in University. Heck, I buy a jersey just about every year so why don't you make one with 00 and name it Flock! Il buy it and so will so many others. Use that money to keep this running. I'd rather wear that on my back than a player that's probably gone in a few years to all the moderators and admins. Seriously, thank you for putting up with us for years. I love and appreciate you guys. I'm just pissed off at the one decision maker that made this decision without any input from us stakeholders. That's so Un-Raven

I think we got the safest pick in the draft to be honest. When I thought about it, this was a kid that started all 4 yrs at college, never missed a game, has awesome feet and pass protection, can run block and is very coachable. To top it all off, the cherry on the cake is he is extremely well spoken, articulate and intelligent. What more can we want in an absolutely safe and stud pick?? Ronnie Stanley is the real deal folks. I'm all in now.

I'm guessing Collins has a lot of quick twitch muscle.

With the 28th Pick in the 6th Round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Defending NFC Champions select: Mack Hollins - WR - North Carolina

Perriman doesn't have weak hands, he made acrobatic contested catches often, he had the occasional drop on routine passes, but outweighed that quite a bit. Moore on the other hand, never gave us the slightest reason to excuse his 2 big drops which were big deciding factors in losses. He did well on special teams but on offense he gave us absolutely nothing

How could you kill the younglings?
  30. 3 points
I hope he goes top 10. Or at least top 15. That would help us out tremendously. Even more so if 3 rbs go top 15. Make a better player fall to us at 16
  31. 3 points
It's clear you have 0 concept of depth.

Name one old school smash mouth defense in the NFL right now. Thanks to the change in the rules we can't exactly do that. We got the closest thing to a smash mouth player with Jefferson, and he's more than good enough in coverage to get away with it. And dude, Webb was a top 15 safety in the league last year and really came on in the second half of the season. Given that there are 64 starting safeties, 15 is pretty damn good. And he'd be our THIRD GUY.
  33. 3 points
I have a hard time believing Harris is a guy we'll take at 16.. im starting to think that the wr visits with williams and Ross are smokescreens, i think there's a chance that we fully expect williams, Barnett, the 2 safeties, and foster to be gone, and that our top target at that point is Corey Davis, and that we've seen enough from non-private visits to be comfortable, and we are throwing smoke screens that we are interested in Ross hoping that we can get trade back offers for a team who wants him. Ross to ravens hype train has picked up a ton of steam, a LOT of people think we are bound to take him at 16, but I just don't see us taking perriman at 26 and then seeing an injury risk(with less spectacular catch ability) like Ross at a value of ten spots higher, Corey Davis on the other hand, I think the ravens could fully justify that, and maybe could be confident that a tradeback of a few spots can still allow us to secure him. Seems they are adding fuel to the john Ross fire, but I would be truly surprised if we took him at 16
  34. 3 points
Yeah, last year was his best, most consistent contribution since 2011. Would great to have him back.
  35. 3 points
It's incentive based that doesn't hurt our cap situation at all. As a matter of fact, the deal created $1M in cap space for this year.

If he can stay healthy he can make plays but that is a very big if on the healthy ?

The only running back I see going in the top ten is Fournette.

I say that Perriman eclipses 1000 yards and scores 8 TDs. Judon will develop and add 8 sacks. Correa will win out the ILB role. Boyle fills the juice role, but gets used even more. Biggest break out comes from Young who notches 5 interceptions from the slot.

Then what else does?? And either post clips of him displaying these traits, or point me to the games/plays where he's showing them. Because i havent seen instances of great hands when he's actually in tight coverage or going over the middle in traffic. I havent seen him using better than just, good, route running. I havent seen anyone that tried to really jam him at the line where's he had to work through it. I havent seen him create instant separate -- it always takes 10 yds or more when he finally gets up to his speed. His separation comes from the speed. Either just getting out in front of guys, or causing guys to bail early and he just stomps on the brakes. I mean its obvious theres a line in the sand that neither side is going to cross. But, i see a guy that if he doesnt have elite speed his quality route running becomes maybe serviceable. Def not good enough that its something he can rely on to get open all day. And if he doesnt have the elite speed to get either the big cushions he so often does or the separation he does from flat out accelerating past DBs, he doesnt have the hands to consistently make contested or difficult catches. If he doesnt have the speed, you just put a physical corner on him and you dont even let him get into his routes. No way he's Edelman if hes a 4.5 guy.... bc Edelman is a technician, and is extremely physical. Whether fighting off the line, taking the hit while making a catch, or breaking tackles to get the tough YAC.... Ross does absolutely none of that. Edelman is thick. Ross is a twig.

Seriously? Why 3rd round? The Cowboys will give up their 1st round pick in a heartbeat for a deal such as this. After witnessing what we got in trade value for Jernigan you still pose this possibility? Even trading down for the Cowboys first would be absurd in my view. The differential is 340 points between the Cowboys first and ours. That equates to pick #56 in the second round! So you believe that somebody would give up #56 to trade for Collins?? Come on man!

I generally agree here. I like Reddick but also love Lamp too. The guy is bound to be an all-around talent with gifted ability to switch between guard and tackle effortlessly like Yanda does. Woohoo 2000th post finally!😎

With the 26th pick in the 6th Round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans select... Charles Walker, DE/DT, Oklahoma

I still think bringing Webb back is the best plan. I'm still worried about throwing Correa/Onwuasor out there to fill Orr's role because neither of them really (at this point) has the instincts and coverage range that Orr had. Jefferson did a lot of the same things in Arizona that Orr did last year and sticking him in the safety role that Webb played last year (imo) would be a waste of his true talent. Someone on the team needs to be the guy that will do things like neutralize TEs and deal with guys like LeVeon Bell catching passes out of the backfield- bringing back Webb would allow Jefferson to become that guy first, and a true safety second.

Yea, the saints do need a lot of help on defense. Foster if there makes sense, but i wouldnt be surprised if Titans take Foster with their top pick

What 20's jersey number still available? You know jeffy gonna want a nice looking one if 21 coming back. He should of rock 23 to paired up with weddle's 32. Haha

Still could be cuts, though. I doubt they keep both Watson and Pitta on the roster, and you also got a guy like Arrington who we are probably waiting to get healthy so we can cut him. Can create cap space for draft picks if we need to certainly.
