This is by far the most effective post you've made even though you're rolling in laughter at something that is logical and perhaps right. See you can convey a lot more if you don't type words and make sentences.

I was going to type a long paragraph on why what ellicott said is true, but decided it wasnt worth it.

I definitely think Judon has a role here going forward, not a starter but I think he's definitely going to be a contributor. I honestly wouldn't flinch if Za'darius Smith was cut.

I really would love to see Webb back here, I personally think Judon needs to get the nod, he was highly effective and looked primed for a breakout(and the ZDS rookie year is apples and oranges here, one looked very good and the other got lucky on blown assignments, save it please). Webb is excellent depth and having an extra guy who plays both s and cb inside and out is huge. If anyone goes down we have a veteran and perhaps the 2nd smartest/savviest db on the team who can fill in anywhere.

Because we look at our roster and see perriman and Wallace

haters like Virginia55 refused to comprehend facts; reality question is who will replace Joe if we cut him? Matty Choker? Playoff-less Dalton? unaccomplished Romo? or better yet, one of a kind, Brock Osweiler? and I heard he's up for 50% discount from Cleveland. Haters just blatantly want to see someone they hate getting cut and are clueless on the consequences.....like dropping your established franchised QB so we can continue to search 10yr for another franchise QB or paying someone old washed up QB or unproved rookie QB with bunch of money to keep the whole team backed up for another 10yrs; it sounds like an epic plan that the Cleveland Browns have been scripting..... People are telling me to put down my purple shades to see the truth, but even I can see the truth through my purple shades and why can't those with non purple shades see the real situation? /mind-boggled.....

With the 32nd pick in the 2nd round... Bill Belichick slithers up to the draft's stage, a trail of ooze and mucus in his wake. As he approaches the podium to announce his pick, the audience is taken aback with horror and disgust. Behind the podium, most of this disturbing sight is hidden, however various small tentacles appear and disappear as he gathers enough breath to mumble into the microphone. He smirks and thinks to himself, 'How smart am I? The self-proclaimed best player in the draft falling to me in the last pick of the second round? ha.ha.ha...' He breaks a smile, an unnerving combination of gnarled teeth and pained grimace, parents guard their children's faces and women shriek in despair. It does not bother the Belichick. Through his cracked facade, he mutters... Jalen 'Teez' Tabor, CB The lights flicker - then go out. When the flash on a second later, the Belichick has vanished. The only trace on him is a trail of slime and a wallet-sized picture of Tom Brady... This came to me in a dream.

"All those first rounders". Really? The only first rounders he has have both played one season. How dare a QB need actual talent around him to perform well!! If he can't win games with leftovers then he shouldn't be in the NFL /sarcasm

It's absolutely hilarious that some of you guys think that Flacco is so worthless, but we'd get two 1st rounders for him despite being so worthless. Which one is it?? LOL!
  13. 6 points
I don't think you get it. Joe's 24M cap hit is destroying the team and the only way to fix it is to almost double that cap hit while he plays for another team. With Ryan Mallett at the helm, and Cleveland's 2 first rounders that we'll spend on a DE and WR, we'll dominate the league!!!! We'll just ask every other player to take a pay cut to mitigate Joe's dead cap hit and I'm sure they'll all do it with a smile. /sarcasm

Bucky Brooks latest Mock is crazy. Has us taking Ross which I hate as a pick for us. Don't need another speed receiver especially one with injury concerns. And I can't see him being our BPA with Tim Williams, Humphrey, Wilson, Harris, etc... on the board. But he has Tredavious White to the Saints as the 2nd CB. That's not too crazy I guess. Then Tabor to the Eagles. Then Chidobe Awuzie at 15 to the Colts?!?! I mean he's got serious ball skills... but I haven't seen anyone Mock him until mid/late 2nd and as the 8th CB highest.

Yeah the scale changed a few years back

He's not the most articulate and isn't a great speaker by any means but one thing I really like from this was his honesty. He seems to own up for his troubled past (which is just smoking weed). He also seems humble and knows what he has to do to succeed in the NFL. Either that or he's a really good BSer As for not answering the question "how many drug tests have you failed" that doesn't bother me because teams know that answer and that's not something he should let the media know for obvious reasons

No championship team is ever a complete team, they all have weaknesses. If ILB was ours it wouldn't be the end of the world. We already resigned Williams and landed Jefferson who are both run stopping machines. Our greatest weakness has been CB since 13' and I hope we take one inside the first two rounds. We have the chance to take Humphrey, Conley, White, Jones, Wilson, Tabor, Moreau, King, etc. Even though I prefer CB though, if Foster is there, it is a no brainer. Only Lattimore possesses more value now. Despite the value difference In the positions, having an elite safety duo with an elite lb duo would make out defense scary. Look at the success that Mosley had with Orr and think what it would be like to have a player next to him that was even better. Look at the success of teams with great LB duos like Kuechly and Thomas Davis or Bowman and Willis a few years back. Heck even look at Trevathan and Marshall when the Broncos won the SB. If we land Foster say hello to Exotic blitz central and tremendous middle of the field coverage. Foster was the captain in the middle and can do it all. He is fast, physical, can lay the hammer, can diagnose plays, and he can cover well too. If he is there I am going to scream on draft day.

With the 32nd pick in the 3rd round, Bill Belichick feels no emotion as he selects Howard Wilson, CB, Houston
  30. 3 points
i hate that first kickstep - while its coachable its a really bad habit that i can see him falling on under pressure from speed off the edge - but i will admit that the idea of him and yanda mauling defenders on the right side off the LOS in the run game is an exciting thought - but i dunno - i still think he projects better as a guard and can be legitimately dominant there

Seeing the selection of Ford, Bill Belichicks salt levels rise to unhealthy levels. The additional sodium dries up his slimy outer membrane, crippling him and reducing him to a heap on the floor. Robert Kraft finds him shriveled up on the floor. Panicking, Kraft douses him in the closest thing at hand - the Burnett's Pink Lemonade Vodka / Cranberry juice mixed drink his 50+ years younger 'girlfriend' made for him. Rising from the sickening puddle, Belichick mutters an thank you before skulking back into the shadows.

Man, I remember when the Ravens used to churn out crazy home grown talent...the caliber of coaches we had then were great for player development.
  34. 3 points
Well there's always the definitive possibility that the Ravens didn't think Aiken was a very good WR (which most people agree with) and that the fans, for the millionth time, overvalue their own players. It appears the marketplace shares the Ravens sentiments there. Not like Aiken didn't have the opportunity to get more involved... all he had to do was beat out a 36-37 year old WR for playing time. Didn't manage to do that either.

I really like the potential that Judon has going forward. I see him as being a big contributor for us once he gets some more playing time.

The issue is the last point, which you attempted to gloss over. Flacco led the league in passes for 16 weeks and barely fell short of first when Brees passed him in the final week of the season. He had a paltry 6.4 yards per attempt to go along with only 20 touchdowns. For that many passes, you'd love to see closer to 5,000 and 30.

If Ray Rice can't play because of what he did then I don't think AP should have a job either, beating a helpless child is an even more heinous offense imo.

Funny how people want to be nice and release guys just because we might (or might not) sign another running back or draft one. It is 6 months until the season starts and people aren't beating the door down to get Terrance West. Actually, when we signed West, there was no one interested after his lack of effort and production in the places he went to. He had some issues with management in Cleveland and though he had a pretty good season for them, they chose to keep Crowell. After that he bounced around until he found a home here, which was good for him. This is a business, this isn't about being nice. West will be given a shot to prove himself regardless of who they sign and I think West would prefer to earn the job here, than be released and try to make his way onto another roster (and trust me he wouldn't get the chances there that he will get here). Needless to say, I think releasing West because its the "nice thing to do" is just straight up poor business in the NFL and no one wins a super bowl by being nice. Ask the Patriots who will go to any extent to cheat to win a super bowl.

Last year's offense was lead by an incompetent, stubborn and dull OC who repeatedly refused to run the ball no matter the score or situation. To the surprise of everyone around the NFL he will be returning. Now the front office has chosen not to re-sign Rick Wagner, arguably the best RT in the league. They've let Juice go, which was a good call, but you are losing the best FB in the league and most versatile player on your offense. And your hall of fame WR just retired. The front office talked about building an elite OL being a priority, but the current starting RT is James Hurst, who will just get Flacco injured once again. There are no quality RT's left on the market and OT is often called the weakest position in this draft class. Even the few good ones are pretty much all LT's, and moving a guy to the other side of the line isn't always easy. Also, there are a number of teams desperate for tackles which could lead to them being over drafted. And Ozzie usually goes BPA by need. Center is now a huge need as well and depth is needed across the board. TE: There's like 10 on the roster, but none of them have shown the ability to be a quality starter. Pitta completely limits the offense and none of the young guys have proven to be anything more than a move the chains type receiver. It isn't a bad group, but it's not dynamic at all and Flacco needs more help. WR: No real number 1 guy here. I like Wallace a lot, but he will be 31 and could lose his speed at anytime. Perriman has amazing potential, but has a long way to go. He's faster than every DB in the league and bigger than 95% of them, but hasn't shown he can make more than the occasional splash play. There's nothing behind those two in terms of potential starters. So this seems like a below average group with the potential to be okay. RB: Dixon got himself suspended for 4 games. Nice job Kenneth! West is an alright power back at best. Woodhead could be a great addition but is a 32-year old coming off an ACL tear. Lot of question marks here. Best case scenario it's a pretty good group. And on top of all of this you're relying on Flacco to return to his pre-injury self. I've always been a Flacco fan, but he regressed big time last year. Right now Flacco needs help more than ever, but the exact opposite is happening. We obviously still have the draft along with a small amount of money left after some more cuts, but that's a lot of immediate holes to fill. Right now we easily have one of the worst offenses in the league. The front office has never drafted a great offense and this is a very defensive heavy draft. Hard to say I have much faith the offense will be any better next year.

Well, it looks as if Ozzie drafted a bunch of All-Pro's last year. That was probably one of the most homerish posts I've ever seen. Lol.
  43. 3 points
Ya I still like him. I just think it was a bit tough of a transition from the level of competition he faced at Boise compared to the NFL. I also think we threw too much at him at once.
  44. 3 points
I would be really happy with this draft.

I happend to catch the re-play of the Cowboys VS Packers playoff game last night on NFL network and I really was watching the CB play of Dallas and Rodgers did not throw to Carr's side of the field as often as he threw to Mo Claiborne's side. Carr looked pretty darn good. I watched the game live and did not pay as much attention to the CB's as much as last night after the signing of Carr it was nice to see him play in a game against a very pass happy team and he performed decently.
  46. 3 points
Not arguing who the better player is but... last year Mo Claiborne had 1 interception and 5 passes defensed, while Carr had 1 interception and 9 passes defensed.
  47. 3 points
You would be mistaken. Scandrick plays the slot and Carr always started.

Ya I re-read the police report and realized that myself not too long ago. His championship post game interview when they lost to Clemson was very humble and respectful as well. It's a good listen as long as you can ignore that thing stuck in his beard lol

I'm sorry but that's hillarious! We moved up 12 spots in the 6th round. Really?... Just let the guy walk allowing him to chose his destination if that's all we get in return. Am I missing something?
  50. 3 points
I think the reason were not freaking out is because we always tend to find an undrafted guy or a guy nobody knows about and they end up playing at a very high level for us.
