How many would join if I create a message board/forum for us to migrate to?

Wow. Not happy. Will not be engaging on FB or any other platforms because it doesnt allow for actual discussion. Just one or two lines of unsubstantiated, emotional garbage or "hot takes." Plus, i dont want to be bombarded with advertising while discussing the Ravens... But, i guess you cant really advertise on here and capitalize on the "engagement" so why bother. Im being unreasonable, but i dont care.

Wow. As a fan who left Baltimore in 2003 and found this community I can't say enough about how upsetting this is. Facebook has some of the worst 'Raven' fans.

Low risk contract that's easy to get out of (options to exit after Year 1 and Year 2 per Schefter) Starting, albeit unspectacular, CB on a playoff team Never missed a game in 9 year career. ...... I honestly don't have a single complaint

As long as you bash Flacco in a Flacco thread, go at it 10 posts a minute for all we care. However, you absolutely littered the entire board, every single thread and now even status bar with the same and you complain about mods' bias?

Real winner is Maurice Canady who can start a Carr-Woodhead bidding war for that 39 jersey.

Thank god the boards are closing.

I'm a member there as well, but it doesnt have the same feel as this community. I like this group.

Please tell me why you think the current roster is exactly what we'll put on the field week 1.

And started all of those games. It's not Sherman or Revis in their prime but he's an average/solid starter.

I probably needed a push to get off of here anyways, but it couldn't at least go through draft season? Ouch.

I have a strong feeling the truth is somewhere in between our resident pessimist and resident optimist

Because we look at our roster and see perriman and Wallace

What don't you people understand... cutting or trading flacco is a 47 million cap hit that would force us to cut well over half of our starters and major contributors just to get even with the cap. We aren't just trading joe, we are dismantling the ENTIRE TEAM with this move and we aren't just getting rid of joe and drafting players, we would need to draft an entire roster over the next decade and have every early pick go well just to be competitive by the mid 2020s.

It's absolutely hilarious that some of you guys think that Flacco is so worthless, but we'd get two 1st rounders for him despite being so worthless. Which one is it?? LOL!

On behalf of @GrimCoconut With the 17th pick in the 2nd round of the 2017 Forum Mock, the Indianapolis Colts select A designated driver for Jim Irsay *draft official with the card drops dead with a blowdart in his neck as Jim Irsay mysteriously slips back into the crowd* Ahem, try again. With the 17th pick in the 2nd round of the 2017 Forum Mock, the Indianapolis Colts select OG Dorian Johnson, Pittsburgh* *to be said in Joe Flacco voice

It's funny I looked at his highlights and read the comments and in 2015 all the cowboys fans said he sucks, then in 2016 they all said he's underrated and a solid player. Funny how winning can change fans minds
  21. 6 points
I think he is a better player than Claiborne. I was not a fan of us signing Claiborne.

Do you ever try to look at something in a positive light?

Wish Leslie Frazier was still around to coach the new DB additions.

The secondary was the downfall in 2014 when the Ravens were ahead 58 minutes against the team that eventually went on to win the Super Bowl. So what does the team do? They added Eric Weddle and now added Tony Jefferson, along with finding a gem in Tavon Young in the 4th round. I agree 100% with you the team's achilles heel used to be the secondary, now it is the pass rush/offense. It won't be fixed in an entire offseason. But on paper I actually think this team is better than it was last season with moves still to be made.

that's a bit of an asinine comment, i technically only joined last year but i've been on these boards in various ways for around 4-5 years... the time you've been a member doesn't lessen the importance of these boards to someone

SCROLL TO THE VERY BOTTOM OF ANY PAGE IN THE FORUMS. THERE IS A "CONTACT US" LINK THAT LEADS TO THE RAVENS OFFICE AND HIGHER UPS. USE IT, PLEASE. BE POLITE AND ELOQUENT AND MAYBE WE CAN AFFECT SOME CHANGE

I think he'd be a reliable player and a good compliment to what we already have. If I was Ozzie, my offer to the eagles would be Eagles get Ravens 3rd Round Comp Pick (99 overall) Ravens get Jordan Matthews + Eagles 4th Rounder (118 overall) Seems like a win/win for both teams.

in 5 seasons claiborne has 4 picks. in 5 seasons with the cowboys carr has 7 picks. seems to me carr made more plays based on your idea of what a playmaker should be....

Can't blame Joe for that Steelers game though he played well. The defense lost the game for us because of the secondary and that's why we upgrading it in free agency. Fans like to forget that - although it really was a solid unit most of the time - our formidable D lost us at least 3 games last season... games we had the lead at the end of the game, and all the D was supposed to do was stopping them one more time... and they let them march down the field and score. The Pittsburgh game was one of them. And it would have been 4 if the Eagles convert that 2-point attempt...

    Some highlights of Carr....
  31. 5 points
Yeah Cowboys fans were upset by that but AJ Green, the Ravens killer, has burned our best corners.

Love the signing, even more than if we got Claiborne. Now we have two Grand Valley State guys on defense!

So it's no secret, the Ravens need a WR. Preferably a big guy that can move the chains. It's also no secret, the Ravens can't afford a marquee FA or guarantee that a top rookie falls to 16. The Eagles signed A.Jeffry and T.Smith early in FA. They also have a first rounder in Aglohor that they won't get rid of so J.Matthews is officially on the block. 1 year left on his rookie deal for 1 mil. He averaged 900 yards and 6 TD during his 3 years in philli. 6'3 4.46 40. obviously if the Ravens give up a 7th for him it's a great deal for the Ravens but not philli. If you were Ozzie and had Philli on the line, what would you offer?

I've already put it here yesterday, but hey: last season Carr covered Odell beckham, AJ Green, Mike Evans and Golden Tate for most of a total of 5 games, and he allowed a total of 1 TD on these games - and even that wasn't really on him, but blown coverage of the safety. He covered OBJ in 6 games and never allowed a 100-yard game for him. Sounds like good enough for me. Also, you don't play 144 games in the NFL if you're "not a good player"...

That's true and it is something but the fan lead forums seem to be where the most knowledgeable fans congregate. To be clear, while I do find you arrogant and judgmental there is no denying you are extremely knowledgeable about most things football, including cap and contract discussions. It's annoying to be constantly corrected but you do provide a rational voice in a topic that can be extremely subjective. Now go ahead, let me know why that is wrong.

Really going to miss these boards. All of my Ravens memories are accompanied by memories of fan discussion on these boards. I haven't posted a lot but I always came here to get fresh takes from real fans on the latest Ravens news. Just want to thank all of you guys for contributing and really breaking down the game. These boards had some great contributors over the years and its a shame to see them being taken down.

I'm surprised at how much signing Carr has got me more excited for the draft. Took my expectations of what the possibilities were in the top 2-3 rounds and just blew them wide open. In reality though I'm sure it hasn't changed the FO's draft plan much if at all.
  44. 4 points
There's a plan and plenty of time. Question - what would you have had them do for the offense?
  45. 4 points
Dependable and capable veteran. Really solid signing. This is honestly more of a classic Ozzie move than signing Claiborne, who is a better talent but also vey injury prone. Love this move. i think our first rounder is gonna be a pass rusher or cam Robinson after this move. Don't be shocked to see us take reddick at 16...
  46. 4 points
Everyone tweeting and talking about Carr's active streak and all that.... STOP TEMPTING FATE. my gosh, our luck now Mo Claiborne starts all 16 and Carr's injured week 2 for the year. cant we have nice things people?

We fans are going to see new faces in the secondary flying around the field this year it could be a lot of fun watching.

Great idea actually. If you start a thread and name it something like "How can we stop the Board from closing down" Give us the instructions and il personally send an email. Il post it on the reply section right after I'm done. If enough of us do so then you may be right. Your simple reply here won't reach enough people or call for enough action
