See my avatar? I am a Webb fan. All three members of my family have two RAVENS jerseys. Lewis and Webb. Most of you know why we all are such RAVENS fans. Click here to see why. Having met him a few times after that initial meeting, he was always super cool and classy. Good to my kid. Good to my wife. Good to his fans. He fought hard he played hard. He is what it means to be a RAVEN. He will always be one of my favorite RAVENS.

Low risk contract that's easy to get out of (options to exit after Year 1 and Year 2 per Schefter) Starting, albeit unspectacular, CB on a playoff team Never missed a game in 9 year career. ...... I honestly don't have a single complaint

i wouldnt come here because the news section has gotten pretty bad. theres no news, no real information, all the videos and articles are basically "heres a long drawn out bunch of stuff you already know" or "lolfunstuff and amateur opinions"

Real winner is Maurice Canady who can start a Carr-Woodhead bidding war for that 39 jersey.

Please tell me why you think the current roster is exactly what we'll put on the field week 1.

And started all of those games. It's not Sherman or Revis in their prime but he's an average/solid starter.

haters like Virginia55 refused to comprehend facts; reality question is who will replace Joe if we cut him? Matty Choker? Playoff-less Dalton? unaccomplished Romo? or better yet, one of a kind, Brock Osweiler? and I heard he's up for 50% discount from Cleveland. Haters just blatantly want to see someone they hate getting cut and are clueless on the consequences.....like dropping your established franchised QB so we can continue to search 10yr for another franchise QB or paying someone old washed up QB or unproved rookie QB with bunch of money to keep the whole team backed up for another 10yrs; it sounds like an epic plan that the Cleveland Browns have been scripting..... People are telling me to put down my purple shades to see the truth, but even I can see the truth through my purple shades and why can't those with non purple shades see the real situation? /mind-boggled.....

I love the instant over-reactions by some people on this board. Like when we hired Trestman and lost week 1, in Denver...had people calling for his job. its literally been one week (actually 6 days) and we have made 3 good signings in my opinion and people are losing their mind. I want to address the OL as well....but you cant fix every position in a single off-season

i really think one of the premier talents is going to fall in this draft and we'll be all too happy to pick them up - someone like corey davis/mike williams, derek barnett, reuben foster, marshon lattimore even someone like tim williams i think is probably worth picking at 16

What don't you people understand... cutting or trading flacco is a 47 million cap hit that would force us to cut well over half of our starters and major contributors just to get even with the cap. We aren't just trading joe, we are dismantling the ENTIRE TEAM with this move and we aren't just getting rid of joe and drafting players, we would need to draft an entire roster over the next decade and have every early pick go well just to be competitive by the mid 2020s.

$5M is way too rich for player missing in more games than he's playing. $7.5M is outrageous, he is dreaming.

That was also the game that Weddle intercepted Brady's pass in the end zone, preventing a touchdown, which happened a few plays after he sacked Brady as well. Let's not forget the positive plays.
  15. 7 points
"All those first rounders". Really? The only first rounders he has have both played one season. How dare a QB need actual talent around him to perform well!! If he can't win games with leftovers then he shouldn't be in the NFL /sarcasm

It's maddening that some don't see this. My god look what Andy Dalton and Matt Ryan have been spoiled with, and Matt Ryan just choked and sickenly gave NE another super bowl

It's funny I looked at his highlights and read the comments and in 2015 all the cowboys fans said he sucks, then in 2016 they all said he's underrated and a solid player. Funny how winning can change fans minds

I think he is a better player than Claiborne. I was not a fan of us signing Claiborne.

we were gonna save 3.5 million and get pick 198 but now becuz of the wisdom of Ozzie we save 5.8 millon and get pick number 186.

The secondary was the downfall in 2014 when the Ravens were ahead 58 minutes against the team that eventually went on to win the Super Bowl. So what does the team do? They added Eric Weddle and now added Tony Jefferson, along with finding a gem in Tavon Young in the 4th round. I agree 100% with you the team's achilles heel used to be the secondary, now it is the pass rush/offense. It won't be fixed in an entire offseason. But on paper I actually think this team is better than it was last season with moves still to be made.
  23. 6 points
I don't think you get it. Joe's 24M cap hit is destroying the team and the only way to fix it is to almost double that cap hit while he plays for another team. With Ryan Mallett at the helm, and Cleveland's 2 first rounders that we'll spend on a DE and WR, we'll dominate the league!!!! We'll just ask every other player to take a pay cut to mitigate Joe's dead cap hit and I'm sure they'll all do it with a smile. /sarcasm

SCROLL TO THE VERY BOTTOM OF ANY PAGE IN THE FORUMS. THERE IS A "CONTACT US" LINK THAT LEADS TO THE RAVENS OFFICE AND HIGHER UPS. USE IT, PLEASE. BE POLITE AND ELOQUENT AND MAYBE WE CAN AFFECT SOME CHANGE

Yeah Cowboys fans were upset by that but AJ Green, the Ravens killer, has burned our best corners.

Love the signing, even more than if we got Claiborne. Now we have two Grand Valley State guys on defense!
  27. 5 points
Complete opposite to M. Claiborne in terms of durability so far in his career. If he was a little younger, it would be full 4 years, I suppose it will end up 2 year deal.

(To the tune of the Nationwide jingle) "Ravens nation is awesome"

If you're telling me there's a potential all pro offensive lineman available at 16, then I don't give a damn if he's a guard or a center. If he can play the most important position on the line at a high level and is worth keeping around for 10+ years or so(which I think Lamp is), then he's worth the high draft pick
  30. 5 points
I don't entirely get the infatuation with Claiborne. As Ravens fans we know more than anyone how frustrating injury prone players are. It's tough when during the offseason you plan on a certain guy filling a role for you and then the season starts and all of a sudden that player in basically never on the field. We deal with it on a yearly basis at CB as it is. Jimmy is depended on to be the #1 shutdown guy and then once gets banged up the entire unit basically crumbles. With Claiborne we aren't talking about a moderately injury prone player, we're talking about a guy who has played in just 22/48 games the last 3 years. Meaning he literally sits more games than he plays. When do we ever have good luck with injury prone players? The answer is never. I'll pass, he's talented when healthy but we need dependable guys. We're an injury carousel every year as it is.

With the 3rd pick in the 2nd round in the 2017 Forum Mock, the Dallas Cowboys select DE Charles Harris, Missouri

I agree on both fronts. Yep and how many times did we see Zuttah get pushed back immediately getting his feet tangled and tripping Joe up ? Extremely annoying.

"Much needed speed at wide receiver". Of all the things we need, a speedy WR is about the last thing on that list.

Curious about a few things. 1. How is your first issue with Flacco that he doesn't run out of the pocket? He's a pocket passer, not a scrambling QB (although he can and has). 2. "he just tries to bomb it down field on almost every pass" - Did you spend last season watching old games from the Cam Cameron era?? 3. How did you bring yourself to include Forsett in the 6 RBs comment while also mentioning that we "just" let him go (about half a year ago)

First off, I never said trading down in a draft to accumulate more picks is a bad idea. That's grabbing more players on rookie deals not grabbing a 1 yr rental that we won't be willing to pay $13m/yr to. Totally different scenarios. And of the couple times we've traded out of a first time you've picked arguably the worst of the bunch. We traded back from pick 25 to I believe 43 and picked up an extra 3rd and 4th round pick. Those netted us Sergio Kindle, Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta. Only Pitta was integral in winning the SB and we could've selected him anyways. By trading back we missed an opportunity to draft Gronk who we were really high on and got taken by the Pats one pick ahead of us at 42 which would've made the one positive of trading out of the 1st (Pitta) completely irrelevant. Or maybe we'd have both. Couldve also grabbed Devin McCourty, Jerry Hughes or TJ Ward and had the safety issues solved that led to Elam/Brooks/Huff revolving door or got us the dominant pass rusher across from Suggs we've desperately needed. Thats all hypothetical though. And it's irrelevant bc this trade has nothing in common with your Butler proposal. Even if it did, this is a horrible example of a trade that "worked." Yea we won a SB 2 years later in spite of, not bc of this trade.

I am already on FB and MySpace before that to keep an eye on what my then kids were into lol FB is now a venue for me to swap pictures with my family and friends and not to have sites post on my behalf. I personally think tweets are stupid, especially trying to figure out what some people are trying to say. I have instagram but have never used it I signed up to see a friends pictures of her grandson. I love this site and have put many, many, many hours into this to place and am beyond sad to see it go. As someone previously said, I am a PSL holder for 3 seats that have gone up 19 buck per seat per game, so I do financially support the team.

I don't see any reason why I'd touch this site with a barge pole without the forums (aside from streaming the end of season presser I guess). I wouldn't pay an annual fee, but I'd probably pay were it to use a donation-based model like some forums do.

Haven't really seen any indication that the FO is committed to providing Flacco with "weapons". They're looking to find a possession receiver, and that's about all anybody has heard in terms of "weapons". They've said they want to beef up the Oline, which would allow us to run the ball better (which they've said time and time again we want to do) and pass protect better. They've also said they want to add youth and depth in the secondary, and upgrade the pass rush, the two biggest weaknesses on the defense. So to me, if you've listened to what the FO has told you over the last few months, they're doing exactly what you want them to do. Not really sure what the point of the "Flacco turn the ball over as much" comment is, since that wasn't an issue last season. Fans (again) just go to the boxscore and look at the INT totals and say "that's too high", but lack the effort to take it into context. Obviously, QBs who throw the ball a lot, for the most part, throw more INTs. Why do you think Drew Brees averages 15 INTs per year? Because he throws the ball 600+ times a year. Try looking at INTs on a per attempt basis. If you did, you'd see that, in 2016, Joe was throwing INTs at a rate similar to what he was in some of his better years of his career. Again, context people. Box scores only give you the minimum.
