As long as you bash Flacco in a Flacco thread, go at it 10 posts a minute for all we care. However, you absolutely littered the entire board, every single thread and now even status bar with the same and you complain about mods' bias?
Are there people that actually think we'd trade a 1st rounder for Butler? And that it's a good idea???
Now I understand why there's a segment of fans who think Ozzies a terrible GM.
Its not just a 1st rounder you're giving up either bc he wants to get PAID. He's unhappy bc they ONLY offered him $9m/yr. A 1st round pick is supposed to give you a top talent for 4-5 years on a cheap deal. It's dumb to spend it on an above average talent and a massive contract.
Claiborne for less than half the price probably is a much better idea. And if not... being patient and keeping our draft picks is also a much better idea.
Claiborne or draft. Mangold and Barwin if possible. Maybe Dunlap/Clady if incredibly cheap.
Thats it.
AP? Cruz?? No thanks.
And we do have RT's on the roster. Plenty of options depending on how the puzzle fits together. Wesley they like a lot. Nembot is a developmental prospect. Hurst is still here though hopefully not the answer. Yanda can be a pro bowl level RT if a better option at guard presents itself. And while they like Lewis better at guard, he held his own at LT and in a pinch or to suit a best starting 5 combo could prob slide out to tackle.
No need to reach or overpay for underwhelming options. We can already trot out underwhelming options without throwing more money at the problem.
I love the instant over-reactions by some people on this board. Like when we hired Trestman and lost week 1, in Denver...had people calling for his job. its literally been one week (actually 6 days) and we have made 3 good signings in my opinion and people are losing their mind. I want to address the OL as well....but you cant fix every position in a single off-season
i really think one of the premier talents is going to fall in this draft and we'll be all too happy to pick them up - someone like corey davis/mike williams, derek barnett, reuben foster, marshon lattimore even someone like tim williams i think is probably worth picking at 16
What don't you people understand... cutting or trading flacco is a 47 million cap hit that would force us to cut well over half of our starters and major contributors just to get even with the cap.
We aren't just trading joe, we are dismantling the ENTIRE TEAM with this move and we aren't just getting rid of joe and drafting players, we would need to draft an entire roster over the next decade and have every early pick go well just to be competitive by the mid 2020s.
The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired the 23rd overall pick from the Minnesota Vikings in the 2016 NFL Mock draft and with that pick the Eagles want to welcome....
Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State
The secondary was the downfall in 2014 when the Ravens were ahead 58 minutes against the team that eventually went on to win the Super Bowl. So what does the team do?
They added Eric Weddle and now added Tony Jefferson, along with finding a gem in Tavon Young in the 4th round.
I agree 100% with you the team's achilles heel used to be the secondary, now it is the pass rush/offense. It won't be fixed in an entire offseason. But on paper I actually think this team is better than it was last season with moves still to be made.
that's a bit of an asinine comment, i technically only joined last year but i've been on these boards in various ways for around 4-5 years... the time you've been a member doesn't lessen the importance of these boards to someone
I don't think you get it. Joe's 24M cap hit is destroying the team and the only way to fix it is to almost double that cap hit while he plays for another team. With Ryan Mallett at the helm, and Cleveland's 2 first rounders that we'll spend on a DE and WR, we'll dominate the league!!!! We'll just ask every other player to take a pay cut to mitigate Joe's dead cap hit and I'm sure they'll all do it with a smile.

USE IT, PLEASE. BE POLITE AND ELOQUENT AND MAYBE WE CAN AFFECT SOME CHANGE
I agree on both fronts.
Yep and how many times did we see Zuttah get pushed back immediately getting his feet tangled and tripping Joe up ? Extremely annoying.
Not for that price I don't. We need that first rounder.
Also
context: that was tavon's first time on the outside at the pro level. Later went on to hold his own vs Antonio Brown.
and I'm pretty sure Claiborne was injured during that game tbh.
Peppers has stated at the Combine that he is a safety and he intends to play safety at the next level. He only played LB because he wanted to help his team out.
I don't see why some people are so pressed to draft a inside LB even with our track record to discover guys in the UDFA market.
Shout out to my boy flynismo, also grimcoconut, tank 92, berad, purock, 1/28/01, mom gene, purplenurple, and even the raven for all the arguments its been a great decade.
Salute, mi familia. It's never goodbye
Ravens looking for a dependable possession receiver with great hands who can run great routes and score in the red zone. Hello? Who does that sound like? Hint : he played here before.
I'm old school. I hate social media like facebook or twitter.
Once this place goes down, I'm probably moving to another Ravens board, even though none of them are close to be as good as here. And yeah, even though I'm not from USA, I'd be willing to pay a fee in order to keep this board active.
As a holder of 2 PSL's and season ticket buyer for both, this team already gets enough of my money. That said. it would be a cold day in hell before I would pay for the right to comment on these boards, no matter how little it may be. Shutting down these boards is just another slap in the face to the devoted fans that support this team.
