I am a Webb fan. All three members of my family have two RAVENS jerseys. Lewis and Webb.
Most of you know why we all are such RAVENS fans.
Having met him a few times after that initial meeting, he was always super cool and classy. Good to my kid. Good to my wife. Good to his fans.
He fought hard he played hard. He is what it means to be a RAVEN.
He will always be one of my favorite RAVENS.
i wouldnt come here because the news section has gotten pretty bad. theres no news, no real information, all the videos and articles are basically "heres a long drawn out bunch of stuff you already know" or "lolfunstuff and amateur opinions"
What don't you people understand... cutting or trading flacco is a 47 million cap hit that would force us to cut well over half of our starters and major contributors just to get even with the cap.
We aren't just trading joe, we are dismantling the ENTIRE TEAM with this move and we aren't just getting rid of joe and drafting players, we would need to draft an entire roster over the next decade and have every early pick go well just to be competitive by the mid 2020s.
With the 1st pick in the 1st round of the 2017 Forum Mock, Jim Irsay selects...
Jim Beam, Bourbon, Kentucky
I mean, the Colts select...
Myles the "T-Rex" Garrett, Pass Rusher, Texas A&M
That was also the game that Weddle intercepted Brady's pass in the end zone, preventing a touchdown, which happened a few plays after he sacked Brady as well. Let's not forget the positive plays.
The Ravens send out a daily email with what is on the site so no reason to visit. No way I would pay. This isn't someone's personal site this is the Ravens official message board. Biscotti has made 100's of millions off the Ravens and my tax dollars already subsidizes the team. If he doesn't want to pay the minimal money it costs to run this forum to promote his business why would I?
Just saw Casserly has us taking WR Ross at 16 in his March 7th mock. His reasoning was, "Flacco gets much needed speed at receiver."
Are you serious? Does he not know who our top 2 receivers are?
This is why I hate mocks by the media.
Corey Davis still available too.
BTW Williams cap hit for this season is only 6 mil which is not to bad.
It will go up to 11 mil next season.
After that season if he plays poorly he can be cut post june saving almost 10 mil in cap space with only 2.5 mil in dead money for the next seasons.
1 season at 6 mil then 2 at 11 before he can become a cut casualty.
that people actually cry about this is beyond me...
that's a bit of an asinine comment, i technically only joined last year but i've been on these boards in various ways for around 4-5 years... the time you've been a member doesn't lessen the importance of these boards to someone
I don't think you get it. Joe's 24M cap hit is destroying the team and the only way to fix it is to almost double that cap hit while he plays for another team. With Ryan Mallett at the helm, and Cleveland's 2 first rounders that we'll spend on a DE and WR, we'll dominate the league!!!! We'll just ask every other player to take a pay cut to mitigate Joe's dead cap hit and I'm sure they'll all do it with a smile.
/sarcasm
Not to be rude, but whomever decided that FB and Twitter were better vessels for fans to connect, needs to have their head examined.
I come here for quality football talk and I will certainly not get it anywhere else because I DONT HAVE A FREAKING SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT. I can't wait to have out quality community here battle with twitter trolls and give up on team social media.
Please don't quote entire mock drafts. If you are responding to a mock draft thread, anyone with an ounce of common sense will know you are commenting on the mock draft. It is just unnecessary scrolling for everyone, especially on mobile.
Not too bad right now but there are still a lot of mocks that we will see before the draft
Not for that price I don't. We need that first rounder.
Also
context: that was tavon's first time on the outside at the pro level. Later went on to hold his own vs Antonio Brown.
and I'm pretty sure Claiborne was injured during that game tbh.
Peppers has stated at the Combine that he is a safety and he intends to play safety at the next level. He only played LB because he wanted to help his team out.
I don't see why some people are so pressed to draft a inside LB even with our track record to discover guys in the UDFA market.
If we get Claiborne then it's still vitally important that we draft a CB at the top end of the draft. It doesn't have to be in the first round but definitely with one of our first 3 picks.
Is there a count of how many memebers are on this board? Some members are fans of other teams in their respective cities but STILL come here to talk football with us. That says a lot about our community and we deserve to exist
Young seems good but his natural spot is nickel and he would be able to cover the sideline in a pinch but we really need to get a long, fast guy opposite Jimmy.
I have that gut feeling Reubon Foster falls to the Ravens after the combine. I feel like with the talent in this draft I think teams will surprise people and there will be a huge run on cornerbacks and quarterbacks before the Ravens. Plus if you really have to question a person's character you will likely trust a person you don't have to question rather than him.
Corners are more valuable in the NFL today as well, I think the Ravens score big. Gut feeling.
just read a cowboys article suggesting we are likely to sign claiborne and are trying to re-sign webby as well - if we ended up with both these guys suddenly this free agency period looks unbelievable - making money appear out of thin air...
I know he can't block, but at least Pitta has some sure hands. I have not been impressed with some of the others in that respect. At least when Pitta is on the field he can catch the ball when it comes his way, but I wish the man could block.
