Without Jacoby Jones, This franchise has 1 super bowl ring instead of two..... just food for thought.

We had a running game, we had it all year. We just didn't utilize it to it's fullest.

So because other teams are getting rid of their message boards we have to get rid of ours? I haven't seen too many keyboard bullies here...

Is Elam now one of those 'bad-boy' players that the Ravens so desperately need?
  14. 8 points
    That would be idiotic draft
  15. 7 points
You would be correct. Less than half do. We've been "special" for quite a while.

The Ravens send out a daily email with what is on the site so no reason to visit. No way I would pay. This isn't someone's personal site this is the Ravens official message board. Biscotti has made 100's of millions off the Ravens and my tax dollars already subsidizes the team. If he doesn't want to pay the minimal money it costs to run this forum to promote his business why would I?
  17. 7 points
I would definitely donate 5 or even $10 to support to keep the message board existed. This is THE ONLY place to visit for football discussion or learn something about football. I can't go anywhere if this closed down. and I can guaranteed that I will disappear as soon as the board shut down......

And I just messaged this person to see if I can get some straight answers out of somebody about why this decision is being made. The press release statement offered to start this thread seems to be completely contradictory in my opinion. If you want to better communicate with your avid fans, why shut down one of the best places for us fans to carry on conversations? It would also be nice if the personalities of this site might actually, I dunno, acknowledge that we are here.

Just saw Casserly has us taking WR Ross at 16 in his March 7th mock. His reasoning was, "Flacco gets much needed speed at receiver." Are you serious? Does he not know who our top 2 receivers are? This is why I hate mocks by the media. Corey Davis still available too.

I think the fact that the date was moved proves that we are being heard. DO NOT STOP HERE! While it is good to voice our displeasure on this thread, please take the time to hit the "contact us" button and voice your displeasure. We can not simply create topics on social media, we have to play by ear on what the Ravens media team gives us. The Baltimore Ravens spent $144 million in stadium upgrades to "better the fans experience." What about the unique experience and information for fans on here? There is a sense of a community here that the pages on social media simply can not provide. Why would the Ravens want to destroy that? I am proud to post on these boards! Again, please hit the contact us button and let the people in Bisciotti's office hear your displeasure. When Ravens media and players open up questions to fans, ask them why they want to get rid of this community. If youve read all of this, thank you for your time!

So if we don't resign him people on here will complain that we keep letting our home grown talent players walk.... We resign him and people are going to complain we paid too much How many people on here have been complaining we let ko walk? I bet it's the same People complaining about this deal

as much as i LOVE dalvin cook as a rb (been on his hype train since last year, have always said hes better than fournette) id be really disappointed if we drafted him in the first. im on the kenneth dixon bandwagon 100% and had him as my 2nd back in the 2016 draft, and i think his play the second half of the season indicated that we have a young monster on our hands.

The most interesting thing about this, and something I've never thought about previously, is that Rice is the only 2nd round pick we've resigned. Sadly, that worked against the team since he only played one year under the new contract and it was a very bad year for him on the field

Thought it might be a good idea to have a single thread for us to post interesting or awful Ravens' picks in mock drafts from the media. Let's start with one of the worst ones I've seen, courtesy of Dane Brugler: Note: Charles Harris, Takkarist McKinley, and Sydney Jones were still on the board at this point in his mock. Elsewhere, yesterday, Eddie Brown of the San Diego Tribune posted a two round mock. He had the Ravens taking: I would be pretty happy if this one happened.

Maybe he actually wanted to go back north closer to where he's from? I know it's easy to think that every player wants to stay here, but remember that these guys are pretty much told where they have to live and work after college. When some get the opportunity to be closer to where they want to be, they take it. Wagner has no ties here to Baltimore other than us drafting him.

That's what I really like about the boards. Plus the community is awesome.

Is there a count of how many memebers are on this board? Some members are fans of other teams in their respective cities but STILL come here to talk football with us. That says a lot about our community and we deserve to exist

Bowling Green cornerback Clint Stephens it is.

Thanks for the extra time. I really enjoy being on the boards during the draft!!!

Yeah, I noticed that, too. Not a lot of second contracts. There are guys they would've like to re-sign, though.

lol at the analysts who don't know the team and think the low rushing numbers means we have a RB problem. Sidney Jones would be my ideal realistic pick.

I am already on FB and MySpace before that to keep an eye on what my then kids were into lol FB is now a venue for me to swap pictures with my family and friends and not to have sites post on my behalf. I personally think tweets are stupid, especially trying to figure out what some people are trying to say. I have instagram but have never used it I signed up to see a friends pictures of her grandson. I love this site and have put many, many, many hours into this to place and am beyond sad to see it go. As someone previously said, I am a PSL holder for 3 seats that have gone up 19 buck per seat per game, so I do financially support the team.
  41. 4 points
As a holder of 2 PSL's and season ticket buyer for both, this team already gets enough of my money. That said. it would be a cold day in hell before I would pay for the right to comment on these boards, no matter how little it may be. Shutting down these boards is just another slap in the face to the devoted fans that support this team.

The only reason I come to this site is for an easy read while I wake up with a cup of coffee or to read the comments section. Typically news on here is lagging the rest of the internet which is sad because this should be the go to place for ravens news. Big no to facebook and twitter. Time theifs the both of them. Late for work is great but is really just combining all the news from the day before that we all already knew anyway. The comments are what intrest me. So bye Ravens.com it's been a good run but all good things must come to an end. Oh and don't let my low comment count fool you. I have had many user names over the years but often forget my password and have never once had a response from the mods to help me so I just create a new one. Yet another example of how this site is mismanaged. Thank you to all of the regular contributors. You have made the season and offseason that much more enjoyable for me. You are the true value of this website. Oh and I know ed is just throwing the fee concept out there but to suggest that a multi billion dollar corporation needs to charge to provide a place for fans to discuss said corporation, the same fans that make the corporation worth anything to begin with is sad.

Lol still pushing Chad Kelly as the next superstar I see...

I know he can't block, but at least Pitta has some sure hands. I have not been impressed with some of the others in that respect. At least when Pitta is on the field he can catch the ball when it comes his way, but I wish the man could block.

Not to be insulting but the way you talk about the way people post it feels like you only read the flacco threads and the news threads... come visit the draft threads if you want proof - they are veritable gold mines of debate and thought-sharing of course outlandish claims will be ridiculed if they come with no evidence but other teams' fans drop in sometimes and I've never seen them blocked unless they are trolling on gameday - there certainly isn't a rejection of alternative ideas as long as they come with some justification rather than baseless opinions

And on the other side of that, is a pick a bust if unexpected injury derails or ruins their career? I've seen many posts about "Ozzie drafted a bust" all throughout 2015 because Perriman got hurt and in the past because of injuries that couldn't be predicted (see Kindle). Arthur Brown is an example of a bad draft pick. Kindle is more of an unfortunate one imo

If Oz goes Cook we better get a C and G and a new OC otherwise it is a pointless pick which still leaves us needing pass rush and a CB
