How many would join if I create a message board/forum for us to migrate to?

Wow. Not happy. Will not be engaging on FB or any other platforms because it doesnt allow for actual discussion. Just one or two lines of unsubstantiated, emotional garbage or "hot takes." Plus, i dont want to be bombarded with advertising while discussing the Ravens... But, i guess you cant really advertise on here and capitalize on the "engagement" so why bother. Im being unreasonable, but i dont care.

Wow. As a fan who left Baltimore in 2003 and found this community I can't say enough about how upsetting this is. Facebook has some of the worst 'Raven' fans.

Can someone tell the Ravens that cutting the costs of this board will not clear up any cap space?

Admittedly, I probably can't relate to rationale behind this decision as I'm likely ignorant as to what makes "this", go....but it strikes me as very, very, very lame. A board...THE board representing the Ravens is closing up shop because.......you can't keep up? Isn't worth the effort? Who exactly makes this decision....anyone know ? You can keep Facebook, etc

The people that made this decision have little to zero knowledge of what Thierry fans want. Lately the whole organisation seems to have the issue of not making the correct decisions

He struggled the first half of the year, but if you watched the second half of the year he played lights out. I'd wager we keep him whether he restructures or not.

ThinK this is absolute bollocks to be frank. How can a company making millions not afford a message board? Couldn't save that much money. I'd estimate 75 percent of hits on the br.com site are people that only use the forum. I haven't been on the homepage in about 3 years. I visit entirely for the converse with other members. I can't get that on Facebook snapchat or twitter. I give the br.com website 2 years before they realise it's not viable without the boards.

I don't know but I really think Jamal Adams if available would be the best pick for us. He is a natural born leader of men and will grow our defense along with Mosley to be fierce again after the retirement of Suggs. But, I seriously doubt we land him unless we trade up.

Why did I just get a new TOS agreement again if the boards are actually closing? Why have new TOS rules if there will be no more board to post on at the end of the month?

In today's world it's all about costs. Shutting down this message board isn't the solution. It generates a lot of traffic like some of you mentioned it above. I'm okay if there's some ads/banner to generate some cash. Final drive to me is a useless product, I'm sure it costs a lot more to produce a video a day than to keep this board running. A message board is also a place for fans to talk/communicate to each other in a unique way esp. if it's the offical forums. I know social media plays a new role, but in the end a message board belongs to a package that the Ravens PR provide/"sell" their fans.

It would seem that the idea was for an outlet for the fans, not just a podcast. Seems as though the ones responsible for media distribution and promo are well disconnected from the very fan base that are supposed to be their customers.

I hate the idea of using Facebook or Twitter to have actually conversations with people about things like the draft. The site setup for them really doesn't suit that.

I joined this site in 2008 when I was deployed and the ravens were on their way to the playoffs. I literally lived in this forum in my downtime and I learned A TON about the game of football as broken down by our members. I feel it's a real mistake to move away from this as BR.com is looked at by all Ravens fans. I don't have social media accounts so I guess the terribly written articles at NFL.com will be my comfort now I remember this forum being much more active than now. However there is still a lot of activity here. I seriously hope the powers that be will reconsider..... if if anyone decides to make a Flock 2.0 board. I'll happily join and support in any manner I can

I just fail to understand how the official Ravens website is closing the official Ravens message board. I probably won't be posting too often anymore. This was my go to for breaking news since I don't have twitter. Damn.

That sucks, just read the announcement. IMO we should start the draft tomorrow just to get this thing going and see what we can get out of it

We used to moan during FA but then enjoy good season and Ravens playoff wins, then get pissed off during next FA and watch the Ravens win in January again. Now we're mostly sad, all the damn time.

In the less than one year on the boards I learned a lot more about football and enjoyed game days a little more with the good old gameday threads. I will definitely look into alternative boards and I will forever be a RAVENS fan.

Eli now has: Odell, Marshall, Sterling Shepard Flacco no has: ........Mike Wallace and Perriman Can this front office please step up to the dang plate and give Joe some legit weapons, we give Joe the huge contract and then turn around and give him nothing to work with. We're an 8-8 team that has so far gotten worse in FA, I'll be be patient... but man this isn't looking good. You have Harbs talking about competing for a Championship next year... I don't see it without a few significant additions in FA and a nice draft.

It's all Joe Flacco's fault. Fire John, Ozzie, Eric and sell the team to a new owner that will keep it going!

I promise to never engage in social media from the Ravens. It is terrible and not fan friendly and this is just an internal cost saving measure period. I suspect that we may lose some hard core fans over this fiasco as well. Its just plain idiotic from my perspective because we had people chime in from all over the world. So where do we get to bash Harbs, Pees, and Flacco now? It is heart breaking!!

Ask Cam Newton how happy he was to have Mike Remmers in the Super Bowl against Von Miller.

Adams is one of the few guys I'd consider trading up for. He is amazing, and would be a real game changer for the Ravens.
