Not going to answer that poll. I change my mind every week...

It looks like either the Seahawks or the Ravens will go to London, the reason the Ravens have to be the visiting team is a clause in the lease from their landlord, the Maryland Stadium Authority, that says "All Baltimore Ravens home games, must be played at M&T Bank Stadium" or something similar to that.

Never said anything of the sort. Where is all this aggression coming from?

If you made me pick right now, I'm running up the podium with Mike Williams or Marshon Lattimore.

So I guess the guy who held the Tennessee sack record before Barnett was no good either.....what was his name? Oh right, Reggie white. Guess all those lineman must've moved out of Barnett's way for 3 years since hes just "not good".
  7. 4 points
Yeah so many draft gurus agree that Barnett is not good. Have you been under a rock?

Well Steve believes in Harbs leading the team in 2017, so our fans should respect that... So you want our owner acting like SD and Rams owners who refused to upgrade their stadium and ended up going to their neighbor and sharing their backyard? You want our PLS owners and fans who are paying tickets to the game sitting in old stadium without perks and conveniences? when other team continue to upgrade their stadium to accommodate fans' interests? PS: don't take things for granted.....look around the league and see how lucky we are to have Steve as an own who cares about the Ravens nation and the fans....

welp got my ticket for the ravens game. quite excited to visit my first real NFL game and it being the ravens. should be much better then the amsterdam admiral days lol

So what will it take to make you "happy"? What "ratin" is your standard? What INT is "acceptable" to you? A team that has two 14 point leads on the team that goes to win the SB and blows them....Clearly was the QBs fault. I will wait for your standards of stats, but im sure you wont even have any. Side-note: I still think we missed big time by not signing Alex Mack. The Falcons OL all started the entire year together if i remember correctly, has the best WR in the NFL (imo) and the best RB duo in the league (most people's opinion). I would love to have any of that here, hell, i would settle for just Mack. Stats are cool and all, but there is one that matters more and Joe already did that.

Yes - it is sarcasm ... hence the LOL. I just feel like there are times when people will say they've looked at a player's "tape", when all they've done was look at their highlight reel ... which of course is laughable. Personally, I look for other people to give me their opinions on prospects, because I'm not going to pretend to be a talent evaluator. I do not seek out anyone's tape, because I wouldn't be able to say one thing or another about it anyway.

Not to argue or to go political... but why, because he disagreed? The post he was replying to use the same exact phrase about his opinion. This is the kind of thing that drives me nuts, both claim opinion as fact and a differing opinion as flat out wrong.... people say nothing about the opinion they agree with - the one you disagree with ---TRUMP. Not really directed at you... just a general comment on the state of conversation/debate online these days. "Admitted slow starter who has had issues with sluggishness to start a season. Will overthink it at times rather than just reacting. Can be undisciplined with guessing snap count and taking penalties. Change-of-direction issues typical of a broad-waisted big man. Struggles to redirect movements suddenly once momentum starts rolling downhill. Quarterbacks with pocket mobility can elude him. Substantially more twitch in hands than in feet. Feet are average. Initial burst upfield is average. Times snap count to help with his get-off. Aggressive forward charge opens him up to cut blocks. Long stride creates base inconsistencies at point of attack. Length is a concern. Can he still win without decisive, early victories with his hands? Loops to quarterback are rounded and might need a winning, inside counter move as a pro." A snippet on his weaknesses... which seems to suggest this scout thinks he doesnt have great instincts, is undisciplined off the snap, etc.... This is not really my opinion either. Just saying, this is someone's opinion who studies these guys for a living... and shares similar sentiments to the guy you're calling "Trump" for disagreeing.

I am just glad we have a team that invests money in keeping their stadium up to date and looking good although to be fair, we actually show up when our team plays
  16. 3 points
None of that is true. He flies off the ball at times, he wins the snap often and times it well. He has good instincts because he always seems to make the right decision, he knows pass vs run before he even lines up and always plays it appropriately. He's been asked to zone drop as an exotic package on occasion and he's made plays often, he clogs the throwing lane and often causes trouble. The missed tackles were a big issue last season but he's cleaned that up quite a bit. He doesn't have great top speed but if you're asking your edge rusher to run 40 yards you're already screwed. Also you're forgetting the one thing that elite edge rushers need that absolutely can't be coached, bend, and he has the best bend in years. Barnett is a qb menace and if you see beyond just speed and strength then it's obvious.

we need starter in round 1 period, either passrusher, CB, or OL. those our priorities.
  18. 3 points
PFF must use some strange formula to come up with that number. It must not use run blocking or sacks. These people also said the secondary was very high and look what happened in the Pitts game and Smith going out just showed how weak the seconday was.
  19. 3 points
I'd trade back to the mid 20's in round one for an additional second round pick and take Feeney then take 2 db's in round 2.

The very best response here! This was actually what I thought even before reading the content of the headline. Flacco is no rookie! Can you imagine discussions year in and year out about how to help Ed Reed or Ray Lewis? Simple solutions-- a pass rush helped Reed get more picks, beef on the D-line meant Ray didn't have to take on O-linemen routinely... Flacco? O-line... wait, maybe a slot receiver... nah a deep threat... but it could be a running game... with or without a bruising back... nah we need one that can catch out of the backfield... C'mon! Flacco isn't a baby! His salary screams that he should elevate the talent around him. He just needs to put in the work-- be obsessed with winning!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Eric! The old saying is that "the game is won and lost in the trenches". Beef up the lines and we'll be good to go.
  22. 3 points
Flacco should help himself by helping himself.. Practice in the Off-Season with live WR's. Have passion for the 20 game season, passion in your own way but still a burning passion for 20 games then we will see the results.. its starts from within. Namaste

Derek Barnett is my top choice but lattimore is very closely behind him. BUT I don't see either being available, in which case I'm going with Sidney jones.
  24. 3 points
Im really hoping we pick up Marshall. He would come cheap, he wants to win a title. If he was cheap and wanted to win a title, he wouldn't have Baltimore high on his list of places to play.
  25. 3 points
Flacco was elite in the 2012 playoffs. Nobody can take that away from him, Now? We'll find out next season if he can play like an elite QB again. He's got his wish - Marty as OC and his knee will be fully healthy. So, we'll see if he is mediocre or elite.

I'm siding with Vegeta on this one
  27. 3 points
idk about that. I'd take Wallace over Torrey and Perriman over Marlon Brown. And I'll take our current OL over any including Gino Gradkowski and AQ Shipley. Then theres a healthy Pitta. I think we're underestimating how bad 2013 was.

I'm just baffled at a man spending a few thousand for a weekend in New Orleans has the audacity to say something about a man spending a few thousand for a week in London.
  29. 3 points
And how he spends his money is your concern why?
  30. 3 points
yes please. ill be there for the weekend.

Add to the fact that San Diego completely screwed themselves by firing Marty shottenheimer. They've been going down hill ever since. A good coach will lose every now and then but eventually you'll get your chance to win the Superbowl.
  34. 2 points
Just think. Many of these issues today is because the organization waited to get a deal done with Joe before the Superbowl. If they could have gotten a deal done so much would be so different.

Can we hope a picture of Myles Garret with a marijuana gas mask on Leaks 10 minutes prior to the draft? Don't think we'd pass this time!

All team byes should be in the weeks 7 to 10 window. Having a bye after 3 games and then 12 str8 weeks of combat is brutal for teams. imo

Finally getting Joe a true #1wr would go a long ways. SSS is my favorite athlete of all time, but he was 34 when we brought him over. Past his prime. And that's the best we've ever given Joe from a wr standpoint
  38. 2 points
I really thought by now with Brady and Ben getting up in age the Ravens would become the AFC leader because Joe look really good those first 5 years but that sure has gone out the window.

I mean.........every time they play in San Diego, it's a home game for the Raiders.

They can provide all the help in the world for Flacco but if the Ravens can't get to the opposing QB's then it's all for naught. A good example was the Steelers game when the O had a brilliant drive but the D couldn't hold the response down, giving Big Ben, which seemed like, all day to throw.
  42. 2 points
aside from injuries, castillo being gone has already improved the o-line.

i see no reason for us to go for anyone but BRANDON MARSHALL.. hes what weve needed for the past 10 years. BRANDON MARSHALL PLEASEEEEEEEEEE
  44. 2 points
In fact, Marshall is the one WR I think fits our team and cap space. He'll elevate Flacco as a QB and make him look decent too. He has a wide catching radius and makes contested catches in a crowd. S

I like the idea of nabbing Marshall if he gets cut. We need a big receiver. One that can move the chains and won't get bullied at the line. Jeffrey is way too risk to pay $10-12 million a year.
  47. 2 points
    My mistake. Definitely misread
  48. 2 points
I'd say it was a combo of both. We had some amazing rosters from 2001-2007, minus the QB, and we didn't see the type or results we did from 2008-2014. In just 2008, with a division 3 rookie QB, the Ravens won more playoff games than they did in the 7 seasons prior. John deserves credit just like those players do, just like Ozzie does
