all this crying about Flacco has forced to me to watch other Qb's who "hit their receivers" in stride and it's BS. Rogers threw a pass that was under thrown for a TD. His receiver adjusted his body accordingly and made the play. He then rolled into the end zone. I don't want to hear anymore how Flacco may over or under throw some targets, if you can make a play then make it. EVERY QB doesn't put it right in your hands, sometimes all they can do is give you a shot to make the play. Why is this thread still going? what else can we possibly stress about Flacco improving and the front office putting better pieces around him. We know what must be done. Every team left standing how a weapon with the exception of Rogers who's playing out of his mind.

I just hate it when a player who struggles with us goes on to look great elsewhere. I'm not sure what the reasons are, but it is never a good look for the coaching staff.

I just hate that I can't go tour Area 51, I am a big fan of the U.S. and want to see what is going on in there. They should totally do tours

Oh ok, yea I don't feed into the reactions around here. I poke fun every now and then but for the most part I stay out of the Flacco talk unless I know i can have a sensible debate or convo with someone. I personally didn't have a issue with Ed's comments, If i remember correctly I had a problem with the timing. It's one thing to have that opinion and even bring it up team wide, but if your QB was rattled in that game in your opinion, why would you publicly make those comments, as true as they may be, before the biggest game of the year against a team that's almost unbeatable at home? Now the story becomes about Flacco and Reed and takes focus away from the team getting ready for the AFC Championship game. But other than timing I didn't have an issue with it. Even with the Ray Lewis comment I didn't have issue with other than the fact he made it about him and he apologized. If Flacco doesn't have passion for the game that's one thing but to compare him to Ray Lewis because he's not rah rah is kind of foolish imo. DMase always seems to have an honest opinion about Joe. He makes no bones about being a Flacco guy, but when Joe's playing bad he points it out.

Steelers Patriots game: I'm rooting for Tomlin to try and trip a pats player and some assistants to punch some patriots players who wander onto their sideline, while at the same time for more and deeper Patriots cheating to be exposed irrefutably on national television. When life gives you lemons, make lemoncello

It allows mods to prevent having the Flacco debate hijack other threads and puts all such comments into one nice, neat, steaming pile.

I'm tired of media even bringing up this "Is Joe elite?" question. The answer is no. However, after watching these playoff games, you can see without at least a good QB, your team won't go far. Alex Smith looked pathetic against the Steelers poor defense. If he was a little better, Steelers would be home. Waste of a good regular season and great defense. Same story with the Texans. Brady made enough mistakes to lose, but Brock is not good enough to take advantage. Joe is not elite and Ravens can't get out of the fact that they had to over pay him, but Joe is good enough. Marvis Lewis and Andy Reid wish they had a QB that could win playoff games. If Ravens run the ball more and upgrade the DBs and Wrs, I think they are good "enough" to beat a lot of the frauds like Dolphins, Chiefs, Texans that made it to the playoffs.

"Green Bay Packer have notched 24 touchdowns and one interception since Nov. 20. By comparison, the Ravens scored 32 touchdowns all season." This. Just this. P A T H E T I C!!! As to the Flacco question, I know it wasn't a serious one, but still - NO! Not by any standard whatsoever does Flacco qualify elite. He doesn't even deserve to be in the same sentence with these other AFC QBs on that list. The only thing Flacco is elite at is being the most inconsistently performing, mind-numbingly average quarterback.

Rodgers winning is the best case scenario. But a Ryan win would suffice.

I think they are afraid of taking players with any issues. I also think that Harbaugh has significant input in it. Will Hill is the last player we know that had significant personal issues, but he was on the roster before the Ray Rice incident that started the whole thing. Waller is the only player on our roster now as far as I can tell whom issue might have been known prior to being drafted. Boyle's issue appear to have beeen as much a surprise to us as it was to them. Why do I think Hatbaugh has significant input? Because he is all about choir boys. There were several reports that as soon the Ray Rice case broke he suggested releasing Ray Rice even before the investigation was complete, and way before the elevator images came to light. Torrey Smith was the ultimate choir boy, and Harbaugh spoke of shedding tears just reading reading about Torrey. Bernard Pierce was released after one incident of DUI within 24 hrs. Not to mention the release of Bernard Pollard for no apparent reason. As I was watching the Atlanta game I couldn't help but notice how many studs they have on that team. They seemed so much faster and more physical than us. SMH! We used to be the most physical team on this planet. Ray Lewis was unanimously considered the most feared NFL player.

Well at least one thing is established with this thread. Just going by the total number of responses, Joe Flacco is a lightning rod for differing opinions which makes him interesting and controversial. Its all good fodder for conversation and debate, but the fact is Joe Flacco is not spending a minute of his time worried about anything we discuss here. His focus right now is chilling and playing with his 4 lovely children!

Coaching , Coaching, coaching, it takes coordinators with a solid foundation and the ability to coach players up to excel in the NFL. I know we are stuck with our staff at this point, but i personally love the Roman hire, he is 10x the play caller than Mwig is, no maybe we can hire a co def coordinator, ... Steve B is giving JH plenty of rope, let's hope johnny boy uses it to corral this team instead of hanging it...

You disagree? Are you in the locker room with Joe? Joe is very flappable, that is the biggest crock about Joe Flacco. Guy sees a few free blitzes and starts hearing footsteps and looks like he wants to go hide in a closet. Guess I should take your comment with a grain of salt though since I always forget Joe should be in like 5 Super Bowls if not for his teammates. Sound theory.

I can't stand fans and media that say we were inches away from the playoffs. As I remember it we were inches shy of beating Pittsburgh but far from the playoffs. We did completely get blown out by the Bengals the following week. So that's one lose and a few inches away from being tied with the Steelers. Wake up we aren't that close in fact we could be getting even worse next year you never know.

http://deadspin.com/5866292/the-feel-good-scam-of-owning-the-packers And I quote. "You don't get a real say in the team. While a share does confer voting rights, the Packers make very clear that you have almost zero say. Under the heading "Limited Influence," they do the math for you: because there will be at least five million outstanding shares, your vote might as well be worthless. And since no one is allowed to own more than 200 shares, you can't buy clout. Even if you could, most votes concern electing members of the 45-person Board of Directors, who in turn select a seven-person Executive Committee, which is the braintrust that makes the actual franchise decisions."

OK, so I hate the P*triots. and I hate Br*dy. I think I hate them more than I hate the Squeelers. While I hate the Squeelers, I do respect them as an adversary in our Division. So, as much as it pains me to say it, I think I have to root for the Squeelers to win on Sunday. When either of these guys goes to the Super Bowl??? And the Packers beat the Falcons??? I will be rooting for the Packers... Go Pack Go...

This article has much jibberish contained herein. The reason Hester came alive was the change in coaching. No mystery there. The notion that this year it's all about offense is bogus. Pburgh yesterday failed to score one single TD. All points came from failure of their offense to get the ball to the end zone. You might say special teams but not offense won that one. I did see some offense in some of the wins, but the statement that 'it' was all about offense this year just ain't so. I realize though, that this time of year it is difficult to come up with good material for these articles, so I forgive. My main concern is what will be done to motivate this team going into the next season. And I don't see much forward progress so far. I saw a lot of manufactured excitement in both of yesterday's games due to officiating discretion. One time I saw a pburgher basically body slam a KC player to the ground and got away with it. Meanwhile some more questionable behavior was called by the refs. We all know pburgh plays dirty and try to intimidate opponents on and off the field. I think the matchup between them and NE is appropriate. They really deserve each other. And if the NFL is wondering why viewership is down, the idea of one team going to the championship game for umteen years in a row may be the reason why.

As I watched the playoffs so far one thing became quite evident - for all the talk about hitting receivers in stride, these guys on these top tier teams don't do that either. The difference? Their receiving targets jump, turn, run comeback routes, tip toe at sidelines, fight for the ball. We don't draft impact players period. We just don't. Now, is that a scouting issue, an Ozzie issue, a develpment issue? I don't know but it is definitely a major issue. Our guys on offense are not just sub par talent to the weapons afforded these playoff QBs, they are not even within the same universe. This is a big, big issue and until we've found the problem and fixed it, not sure we see the big game again. I do understand that some of that lack of impact players are a result of draft pick position - but a lot of these guys were available when we picked, and we passed them by. Which makes me lean more towards scouting and Ozzie issue. Sorry, love Ozzie as much as the next guy, but perhaps his method has become obsolete.

Ideal situation for me is the Packers win it all. Only good thing about a Patriots win is Brady hopefully retires, but their fans are second on the list of my most hated, just behind the Cowboys. Anyone but the Steelers, please.

i actually just created a topic about risers and fallers where i said jackson was gonna fly up boards. jackson may be rated mid 2nd right now but when he kills the combine hes gonna rise to the first, cbs and explosive playmakers are both in high demand and its hard for teams picking late to find them, someone in the latter half of the first round will take a chance on him. and what makes you say davis isnt worth it at 16? i mean hes not my first choice, but thats a talent level that flacco has never worked with before. hes had some great reliable veterans but he has never had a guy who can do what corey davis does, and with ozzie saying he wants a complementary receiver, well thats what davis is. him, wallace, and perriman would make a lethal trio, and because davis is that guy that complements their speed with great routes and a big body and a great catch radius. those passes thrown short of the sticks become first downs with corey davis catching the ball. hes a legit top 20 talent.

Pats on the ropes after the 1st half. Pats coaches make adjustments on offense and defense and blow out Houston in the second half. Anybody in the Ravens FO watching?

Frazier's competence allowed him to take over some of the defensive duties up in the box allowing Pees to coach from the sideline. That's going to be missed as well.

This used to be an exciting time in prior years. But after the last couple of years and seeing that all the strategy sessions didn't really help us become a winning franchise. So, while I'm hopeful for 2017, the leading indicators (retention of all the same coaches and the loss of Frazier and potentially Wagner and Williams) leaves me queasy. I believe in Steve, Ozzie and Eric but I'm not sure about Harbaugh and his performance this year. Will we see the same Harbs, Flacco and putrid offense? I am praying we don't but what's changed other than the timeline?

I'd say tackling is the prime reason we were the top defense for a good stretch. We swarmed like madmen to the ball

What do you guys think of Dareus Rogers WR USC. He's 6-1 215 so he has good size and seems to have very reliable ball skills. Fits the mold of "possession reciever" just haven't heard much from him. He's really been flying under the radar and I like what I see. He fights for the ball and most importantly for a receiver, he uses his HANDS to catch the ball.
